Footed with very detailed. Three dimensional claw feet and heavily embossed lion heads in between with beautiful scrolls completing the composition. They are Ornate& Gilded with a great LQQK to them. I am unsure who the manufacturer is. The entire item weighs 13.4 pounds and measures 26 and 1/2" long by 13 and 1/2" tall by 15 and 1/2" deep. There are wing nuts that hold the center plate to the actual andirons. The andiron legs are secured by a bolt through the bottom. I have shown photographs of all of this. Wonderful set of very old brass and cast iron dancing lady androns. Each stands 16" tall x 6" wide x 17" deep. Each of the andirons depicts a different dancing lady. Brass fronts and cast iron supports. Purchased at a Mt. farm estate sale. Unsure of the age and find no markings. Great origional condition with no problems other than normal use, some"greening" as shown in the pictures. The andirons will be disassembaled for shipping as shown in pic#9. To reassembale you just need to screw on the threaded leaf piece and attach the front to the legs. The last picture is of the nut and bolt to reattach. Very easy but you will propably need a adjustable wrench or pliers to tighten. These are quit heavy, I'm guessing 10+ lbs each, thus the high shipping costs. Fabulous antique Victorian or Craftsman style jamb hook. The detail on this is truly a work of art! I bought a pair of these from an estate sale in a lovely old Victorian home. They were on each side of a fireplace. Unfortunately. I broke one of the arms off the other one while trying to straighten it, so I was very careful with this one when polishing it. It could possibly be repaired, so I will include the broken one to the winner if they want it. But I do want to warn you that with the age and constant exposure to heat over the many years it has made the brass a bit fragile. SUPER COOL PIECE I don't really know what this is but I asked a few people and we all think that perhaps its a fire screen but honestly I am not sure she is just super cool so I had to have her. She is all metal and I don't know the age of her. But I don't think she is brand new but not super old either. Up for auction is this rare Victorian Era antique fireplace grate or box. I believe this dates to the mid-late 1800's. But was designed in the classic Federal style. Made of cast iron, it has rust with use and age but is in very solid condition. Extremely rare to find with both inserts. I believe the flat insert was for coal and the rounded insert for wood, but I am not exactly sure how this works. We left in the original condition although the winning bidder may choose to bring back to its black shade. Measures approx. 26" w x 21" h x 12 1/2" d. Vintage Figural Victorian Style Cast Iron Cherub Angel Andirons
Presented for auction is a pair of Vintage Figural Victorian Style Cast Iron Cherub Angel Andirons. The Andirons are in very good to excellent condition and were generally displayed in our fireplace in months when the fireplace was not being used. Each Andiron measures 16 3/4" tall x 8" wide and the dogs/arms measure 16" from the back of the Andiron. There are no markings of maker and we purchased them approximately 20 years ago from a shop so I would say they are approximately 20 to 30 years old but I am not an expert. The auction is for the Andirons only and the grate is not included in the auction. For shipping I will remove the bolt and nut.
