Beautiful Antique Victorian Era Fancy Cast Iron Fireplace Front Pediment 19 lbs. I am still listing new items from Indiana. And have a boatload of new things from the flea market too. Lots of primitive antiques, farm finds, folk art, and the usual wacky Maureen stuff- you don’t want to miss this week! Here is a drop-dead-gorgeous Victorian era cast iron fireplace front for you- ready for your hearth or just beautiful decor. You won't believe the heavy 19 lb weight- and it's all cast iron. Too. This beauty has a lovely fancy scrolly design in the center, and it's most recent coat of paint is jet black. Sometimes black comes off looking a little grey with my camera, but it's jet black for sure. This is only one of many many coats of paint- you can see other colors where the paint is very shabby chippy worn- more so on the edges ... moreand highest relief areas- see photos 4-11& 14, but there's small spots of wear in other areas of the body too. The color before the black looks to be a buttery yellow(best seen in photo 4) On the backside as seen in photo 20, there's literally drips of paint from days gone by. The same yellow mentioned, as well as a rose color and light green can be seen) I don't know if that's paint layers from painting this front, or drips from the wall(which is what I think) but it's all part of the very cools story of this oldee! The many layers of paint have protected this beauty well, and there's very light surface rust in the spots where the paint is worn down to the metal- minor, especially for the age. It measures 27 3/4" tall and 18 3/4" wide. It's about 1" deep measuring from the back to the highest relief areas in the front. Each foot on the bottom has one screw mounting hole from when it was in place. It's dirty, and needs a good bath- I have not cleaned it in any way. It's in excellent solid and sturdy condition- built to last and oh-boy it has. What a treasure! At this weight, it will be expensive to ship to some locations,

Fire Place Screen Griffin Peacock Victorian Era Brass
Hi Folks! Pleased to offer you this fire place screen! I have scene a couple of these in Victorian era buildings& homes. This is like a pea cock or griffin that has its feathers spread open. It's really a wonderful piece. It's wing span is 38" wide& it is 2 foot tall. The feathers or you may call it a fan. Fold up into the brass casing for storage of 6.5" A note in closing. PAIR OF ANTIQUE HESSIAN SOLDIER ANDIRON VICTORIAN ERA ORIGINAL PAINT 16" FIGURAL
Up for auction is a pair of antique Hessian Soldier andirons. The figures are cast iron and stand 16" tall. The supports are 16" long. They retain nearly all of their original paint. I have not cleaned these in any way other than dusting them. I think the colors would really pop with a good cleaning. I don't see a maker or a foundry mark on them. These are very heavy. MM.CO 1 PATENTED APPLIED FOR 1851. THIS A RARE 3 PIECE FIREPLACE SET FOUND IN AN OLD NEW ENGLAND BARN HAY LOFT. This is a stunning pair of mid 19th century brass and iron fireplace andirons. they are very ornate with intricate detailing and have a wonderful patina from age. they are nicely footed with dimensional claw feet and nicely curved legs. the shaft and ball top finial are deeply ribbed with a detailed filler piece in-between. the finial is very large and also topped with a solid brass finial. the back wood rest are large and made from cast iron. One has a very old repair that gives nice character. they each measure 22 inches tall by 8 inches wide by 22 1/4 inches back to front. they are nice old andirons. There are some dings to the ball tops. Antique Tiger Oak C.1890 Victorian Era Fireplace Mantel Mantle Carved Flowers!!
ATTENTION*Please read shipping information*Fine late 1800's or early 1900's solid oak fireplace mantel. Heavy and solid. This mantel features a carved head surrounded by flowers in the center just under the shelf flanked by carved paw feet and legs on each side. The carving on this piece is absolutely stunning! This piece has been refinished at some point. Must have been redone some time ago as there are very tiny/sparse white paint specks on the top. You have to look closely to see them. Other flaws include a piece of trim missing off of the top of the right leg, a very small piece of trim missing from the square part at the bottom of the right front leg, a hole was drilled just to the right of the right leg which was probably for mounting purposes and there is a 1" long piece of trim missing on the top left side towards the ... moreback just under the top shelf. All minor and none detract from the over all appearance. You can view them in the many pictures below. Over all this mantel measures about 61 1/8" wide X 11 1/2" deep X 48" tall. I purchased this at an estate sale of a collector of antiques& vintage items. I had never seen one before& didn't exactly know what it was. I understand that this is a"Hod" to hold coal for early fireplaces or stoves. I am selling the item"as is" But it appears to be in GREAT CONDITION, considering it's age. The outside shows it's age& has some darkening on the sides. dents in along the side edges on the front(please view the pictures) however front& the top look very appealing to me. The handle handle appears to be brass. But needs polishing. The interior chamber is in tact& the metal holder has no holes or rust marks. The shovel is brass with a wooden handle. Rare Antique Victorian Era Fireplace Cast Iron Grate Box Federal Style Coal Wood
Up for auction is this rare Victorian Era antique fireplace grate or box. I believe this dates to the mid-late 1800's. But was designed in the classic Federal style. Made of cast iron, it has rust with use and age but is in very solid condition. Extremely rare to find with both inserts. I believe the flat insert was for coal and the rounded insert for wood, but I am not exactly sure how this works.
