INCREDIBLE Antiques 19th C PAIR of FRENCH Candelabra in Bronze/Marble/ 19" Tall
Large and BEAUTIFUL pair of FRENCH cast brass/bronze and marble candelabra date from the 1900s. They are heavy(6# each) and very well made with spike candle holders. The metalwork is straight and true. The design is flowers. Leaves, and acorns, moving from VICTORIAN into ART DECO eras. EXCELLENT condition ANTIQUES with no damage of any kind. They are 19" tall, 5" at the marble base(black/grey/gold) and the candle placements are 9" across. There are numbers visible on the leaves, 1220 and 148. These may be inventory numbers. Also a signature is present on the main leaf stalk in gold tone but is indecipherable. These are beautiful!

This is a vintage antique pair of French Provincial drawer handles. They are brass. Hand painted white and gold on the front. The handles themselves are 6 inches at their widest 1.75" at their highest. The holes are 3.5" apart. They are beautifully ornate and a perfect representation of the French Provincial style. One good reason(beyond utilitarian use) must be the numerous and wonderfully decorative designs available. I’d say these trivets were made in France about 75 to 85 years ago- give or take a decade. I’ve searched lots of internet sites and haven’t been able to find this particular design. The center oval reminds me of a pineapple. But I’m sure the designer had something else in mind. SIZE: 6-1/4” x 9-1/2” generous rectangular size) Each trivet has 4 short feet& Most surprising to me, a sturdy metal tab for hanging on the wall when not in use. Art! The color is closest to that ... moreoften called Williamsburg Blue. CONDITION: Solid with signs of age& use. Including some surface wear, minor enamel chipping, some rust& other irregularities characteristic of old metalwork. The coloring varies between the two pieces—perhaps indicating they led daily different lives. One trivet’s metal hanger has damage(still hangs okay) The back(as usual for most old trivets) has no maker’s mark. But just the numbers 136. Need trivets? These are keepers.
