Let me just say, the glass on this"thing" please allow me to say, it is simply amazing and profoundly gorgeous with our without the paint, but I just love the paint patina.so, ok here goes. I have zero familiarity with antiques. But ran across this exquisite beauty and knew it was special. From my research. I've come up with the following which of course could be entirely wrong, so please anyone who would be willing to send me helpful information thats accurate or tell me where I may be incorrect in my information. I would appreciate it so very much. I haven't had too much luck in finding much. First things first. In the photographs, you will see this beauty needs a serious cleaning and/or restoration. It would be a shame to see somthing so aesthetic fall prey to the garbage. I didn't touch ... morethat task with a ten foot pole, as I haven't a clue how to do that job properly. I believe this to be a folding fire screen. Handmade and handpainted. The glass in each panel is the Original Antique Frosted Ribbed Glass approximately 1/8" thick. Each OUTSIDE FROSTED RIBBED GLASS panels are approximately 8+1/4" x 20+1/4" The CENTER FROSTED RIBBED GLASS panel is approximately 10" x 20+1/4" Each outside bamboo stick for the panels from floor to top of bamboo stick are approximately are 28" each on the FAR OUTSIDES and approximately 30" for the ones that sit next to the larger inside middle panel. The middle panel bamboo measurements are as follows: Each that sits next to the inside of the outside panels are approximately 30" both sides. The height of the center from floor to TOP of bamboo arch is approximately 31+1/2" The width including the bamboo is approximately 32+1/4" I also believe this fire panel is a amazingly unique; an English Victorian Aesthetic Movement folding screen. I bought these magnificent hand-wrought iron andirons several years ago from the estate of wealthy woman who had had them made for her ranch house. She had never used them. I had hoped they would fit in our ranch fireplace. But they were too big. We have used them for stacking our firewood. They are heavy and have a very intricate design. Approximate measurements are: height– 27.5” depth of where the wood would sit– 24” total depth– 28.5” width of each base at the bottom– 20” diameter of circular design at the top– 9” They are in good condition but do have surface rust from sitting outside.
