Vintage Cast Iron Solid and HEAVY Fireplace Irons Tools With Stand NICE
These REALLY look like brass. But a magnet sticks to everything, so I am assuming it is cast iron. They are at least from the 70's, because they were in my Mothers house for at least that long. They are very heavy, and solid. Of course, there is some slight surface rust and signs of age, but no damage or abuse to call. I think they will clean up beautifully! The poker is a little bent, but nothing that cannot be straightened if it bothered you. The stand's handle unscrews, from the base, so I will separate it for shipping. That should just about do it! I have sold several vintage/antique estate found. Fireplace items here on eBay but these are a bit more unique. A nice 4 piece set containing tongs, poker, shovel& stand. Constructed of a classic mix of materials w great style and design. These tools appear to be constructed mostly of brass w copper shafts. The poker and tongs have heavy cast or wrought iron tips. The stand has a uniquely and well designed top that looks like fish hooks(i cant tell if its brass or copper) a great functional design to contain the tools in the stand. The base of the stand Is also constructed of heavy cast iron& trimmed w brass and has stylized corners. Nice original vintage used condition w expected petina.
