The hinge is intact and works well and the box closes well and tight. The design on top is a bit worn from cleaning over the years. In addition, the box has minor dings throughout most pronounce on the bottom, but these do not really affect the beauty or quality of this great find. This is a used Vincent Bach 1C trumpet mouthpiece. The large fonts were produced from 1997 to 2003. This mouthpiece is in excellent condition. There are light scratches. The plating is missing on a few areas on the shank, and the shank is round. I have taken photos from several angles to allow you to check it's condition. If you click the photos. Dating ca. the 1950’s-1960’s. From the era of toy robots and classic science fiction films including”WAR of the WORLDS” and”THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL” Are eight cast aluminum sign letters which spell SPACEMAN. Each letter measures approx. 6 inches in height. The“M” has a base measurement of approx. 7.75 inches across. The“A” is approx. 6.5 inches across. Letters are approx. ¾- 7/8 inches thick. Primitive Antique Hand Made Weather Vane Folk Art Arrow and Direction Letters
Early Primitive Antique Weather Vane Originally found in Maine. This is a nice early hand made Weather Vane. On the top is a cut out arrow in a great folk art primitive shape. On the top of the arrow pole is a large brass finial. The finial has a small dent on the top and has some tarnish that I have not polished. The arrow pole fits inside another iron pipe that has the direction letters attached. The letters are large, about 4" by 4" and have a nice cut out look. I think the letters and arrow are made from a heavy tin and the poles are made of iron. On the bottom of the second pole there is a wider piece attached with a hole in the bottom. The hole which is where it would attach to a larger pole is about 3/8" across. As you can see in the pictures this is in two pieces with the arrow section fitting into the arrow section. ... moreWith both pieces together it measures 17.5" tall. The arrow is almost 17" long and the letters extend 9. 5" from the center pole. So it measures 17.75" across. Nice Early Antique Folk Art Weather Vane. Great Primitive Piece to use inside or out. I print several photos of the same letter to give me choices. Some letters look better side by side than others. I also print each photo with the black border. I used my Officejet printer. Once I have chosen the letters I want to use. I space them evenly on the poster board. Once I am satisfied with the spacing, I adhere the photos with scrapbooking adhesive. You can use any kind of adhesive you want. However, I would stay away from glue, it might eat through the picture. I put the poster board. With the adhered letters, back into the frame and replace the back. There.you have a wonderful and beautiful gift. This gift cost less than $20 because I printed my photos at home and cut my own matte to fit the frame. To have this gift custom made would cost well over $75 to $100. B

I offer three thin items from the personal files of Manly Wade Wellman(1903-1986) The first is a three-page letter dated February 5. 1974 from Harlan Ellison. In his letter Mr. Ellison praises extravagently the story which Mr. Wellman has submitted for inclusion in The Last Dangerous Visions anthology. Discusses the business aspects of purchasing the story, and urges him to sign an enclosed contract(if you choose to ride along with all of us, I venture you’ll feel a part of a large and loving family of creators dedicated to preserving a literary moment in time. This letter is typed on Mr. Ellison’s letterhead and signed by him. The second item is a four-page form-letter dated December 14. 1977 from Mr. Ellison to“ The Last Dangerous Visions Contributors. This letter explains that the book will be published within a year. And that because ... moreof a change in publisher(from Doubleday to Harper& Row) it is necessary for each contributor to sign a new contract. This form-letter was distributed as a photo-copy of the original letter. Which consisted of three pages typed on Mr. Ellison’s letterhead and signed by him, and a fourth page of text hand-written and signed by Victoria Schochet who served as liasson between Mr. Ellison and Harper& Row(Having spent the last week reading through all 600,000 words of[this enormous project] I promise you that no claim for its significance, scope, and excellence could possibly be extravagant. The third item is Mr. Wellman’s copy of the 1977 contract consigning his story Not All a Dream to The Last Dangerous Visions anthology. Mr. Wellman has signed this contract. Entered by hand his address and phone number, and initialed a section pertaining to writers who had signed previous contracts with Mr. Ellison. Originally announced for publication in 1973. This small. Silver toned spirit lamp stands about 2 inches tall and is about 2.5 inches across the bottom. It has no hallmarks or any other identifying marks. It appears to be silver plated with a gracefully curved handled. It is believed to be used to melt wax to seal letters. It is in good condition with some wear on the bottom and the top no longer screws securely to the bottom. It is old and has seen some use.

Original and used, vintage deco era Steel Store Signs- each one has a little lip on one side that allows it to hang on the edge of a shelf, counter, cabinet- etc. as I'm showing witht them hanging off the edge of my wood box. All of them measure 6 1/2" tall, and vary in width between 2 3/8" and 2 5/8" The E is the only one that is double sided, with the others having a solid color finish on the back. They are in excellent solid, sturdy and useable condition, with rustic wear to the finish in scratches and scrapes, and just a handful of dings. Lot of 16 Quaker Postal Cards Letters West Chester Philadelphia PA 1880s
Nice lot of 16 Postal cards from the 1880s and very early 1890s. All addressed to Gilbert Cope in West Chester Pennsylvania. I did a brief amount of internet research to see that Gilbert Cope was a prominent Quaker resident in West Chester during the mid and late 1800s. The cards contain a mixture of correspondence with family and friends(along with some commercial business content) and include cards written from West Chester, West Town, Philadelphia, Tippecanoe, Mercersburg, and other locales. There are several cards from the Union Prohibition League of Pennsylvania, and the American Antiquarian Society. This group provides a nice snap-shot of Quaker life in the late 1800s. The cards are all in very good or better condition, with just a couple of minor dings noted. Please ask any questions before bidding. Thanks.

Receipts, orders, etc all dated and gently mounted on a paper scrapbook page. I found they are easlily removed and many have something on the reverse. Too.they were carefuly mounted with small spots of paste. Please refer to photos. It seems that most of these these reflect business with/by the SILAS PIERCE Company mentioning liquor. Rum, raisens, sugar, coffee, molasses, tobacco, etc. There is one from D. Lawrence distilleries.maybe Pierce's supplier? The hand written requests are neat- one does have an 1860 date.
