Scarce 1897 Utah Jubilee Enameled Cup. Polychrome transfer printed enamel on metal with the Great Seal of the State of Utah"1896" with floral garland connecting this to a hide scroll with a Buffalo and"Utah Pioneer Jubilee 1847" with rifle behind, bordered top with a scene of the Great Trek, at the bottom it has Indians chasing a pony express rider and an Indian village, the bottom marks the Commemoration of the Arrival of the First Band of Pioneers into the Valley of Great Salt Lake July 24th 1847, it has a gilt lip. 3.75" diameter x 4" high. As you can see in the pictures this cup is not in perfect shape, but what an awesome piece to have in your collection! IT'S 114 YEARS OLD!

Rare Mormon Temple Salt Lake City & Saltair Pavilion Tape Measure Antique VTG
It is amazing that this level of detail was so precisely and intricately placed on an item only 1 ½” long! Take a close look at the photos on this one you will not see on in this again with the vibrant colors and almost impeccable condition. Looking at the swimmers on the salt air Pavilion I would estimate the date of this piece to be around the early 1900 to 1920’s. It looks to be made of Bakelite or Celluloid. As you can see from the photos it is in excellent shape no chips or cracks etc. This tape measure is about an 1 ½” wide by about 3/8” tall. The previous owner must have known that this was a special item and took exceptional care of it as you can see. Any questions please ask. What are they: 3 pages removed from an unknown book: LEAF 1: page is numbered 53/54. Page 53 contains my favorite image"Mormon Temple" and the flip side features a companion image"Foundations of the Temple" LEAF 2: page is numbered 55/56. Page 55 has image of"the Temple as it is to be" and the reverse page 56 features a grand image of"Great Salt Lake" LEAF 3: presumably from the same text. Page 227/228 features a discussion of caricature with a mention of Thomas Nast, and a caricature image of Ben Butler(by Nast) I am listing each LEAF as a separate auction. But all 7 PHOTOS attend each auction to establish ... moreperspective, continuity as to their nature and source. LEAF 1: Dimensions of this page are: 9 1/4 inch high x 6 3/8 inch wide. Image'Mormon Temple' is 3 7/16 inch wide x 3 inches tall. Please note SIZE of the images; they are not large. Page 53 bears the header ARTEMUS WARD, and text about the Temple, reference to Brigham Young seldom preaches now. Page is average weight paper, ivory off white in color(white balance in my camera is off and the photos render the paper a light brown color) paper is clean, undamaged, and the image would frame beautifully: I see these images as a form of Folk Art, please excuse my over enthusiasm. On the flip side'Foundations of the Temple' is arranged immediately opposite the front image, so you have to choose sides to frame or use a double sided frame. A neat antique wedding certificate. The certificate is dated June 23rd 1931 and is from Rutherford. NJ. It is for the wedding of"BARTON LOAG JENKS& ELIZABETH HOLBERT ANDREWS" there are 109 signatures in dip or fountain pen including the 9 on the back, they were witnesses to the marriage. The document measures 19 1/2" wide x 31" long. It came in a 19th Century Document Carrier or Box, it is tin with a Jappaned finish. The document is in very good overall condition. It does have some wear to the edges from being unrolled throughout the years. The Document would make a great addition to a Mormon related collection. This is a Beautiful Flow Blue Salt Lake City Temple Souvineer Plate. It is very old. Probably turn of the century, the previous one.
