This vintage Mark 20 Master Sextant was used in the 1980s to attain a Masters Unlimited license and has been on a closet shelf ever since. It's constructed of plastic and the overall structure is in excellent condition with no breaks or cracks. The case is also in excellent condition and the inside foam is still functional. The sextant combines the attributes of the Davis Mark 15 and Mark 25 frame and has the usual split half slivered mirrors. It has LED lumination which works perfectly. The top instructs about how to use light sticks for compass illumination, instructing the user to remove the light sticks from the clip in the cover, bend them, and then use them to read the compass at night. On the side, there is detailed instructions about how to find and adjust normal compass errors by steering your boat into the rising sun, then heading boat west, calculating the degrees and dividing by half.
