Antique Solid silver Oriental Arabic Ashtray bowl A very nice solid silver ashtray with dragon decoration to the sides. This is an unusual object and has very nice engraving and workmanship. It has a star decoration to the base which can be seen in the pictures. It has what looks like Arabic writing on the base. There is a few small dents on the sides and on the base but some of these could be popped out quite easily. Measures 7.5cm at the widest point and 3.5cm in height from base to rim- WEIGHS 43.9 GRAMS OF SOLID SILVER. I have taken the piece to an antique shop and they said it was at least 40 years old and could be a lot older but i am not sure so please decide for yourself.

Up for auction is a large collection of Mallory and Wheeler doorknobs and backplates in the Arabic pattern. There are enough sets for six doors! Backplates measure about 6 3/4" x 1 3/4"and are marked M.W. Co on back. The knobs measure about 2 1/8" in diameter. With domed.or raised front. Not sure if these are brass or bronze, but they all have patina and some oxidation. There are six spindles for the knobs, but you'll need to get 11 set screws, as there is only one there. These can be found through many hardware sources; the one left will allow you to verify length, diameter and screw thread count. There is one knob, seen in fourth photo, that has a shorter part attached to back where the spindle goes in. Looking closely, this appears like it may have come from the factory that way, I'm not sure- remember, factories ... moreweren't all computer perfect back in the 1800s. But this part is hidden within the backplate's protruding circular part. There is one extra backplate missing that protruding part that I'm including with this set, which you can find some fun innovative use for in the home. So there are"twelve plus" backplates. Welcome to our auction site for this very nice Antique Charger. I believe this could be from the 1800's. Pretty blue transferware flowers decorate around the edge. Makers mark on the bottom(see pictures) A big number11 above the mark with Arabic W. H. Grindley Co. Tunstall. Numbered RdNo154743. There is also a couple identification marks stamped on the bottom the number 14 and the letter F. Also indented into the ironstone is the numbers 56 and the letters PG. There is staining along the one backside of the Charger. I find no chips or damage to this lovely old platter. The usual manufacturing small pit marks is all. This measures a little over 16 inches by 11 1/2 inches. Lovely white with blue flowers and a great shape which gives it character. A beautiful early Antique Charger. Very Nice. The sword has a typical Kaskara hilt. With an silver painted iron cruxiform cross-guard, with a short langet on each side, and a flat disk pommel. The round wooden grip and pommel are wrapped in leather. This sword measures 925 mm in total length. The blade measures 790 mm in length. The sword weighs 796 grams.
