Lots of color coding to represent various attributes(white/stone building. Pink/brick building, yellow/frame building, if it looks like an envelope/a stable or shed, and black& white dotted/green house etc. Map in generally good condition(not perfect but pretty nice condition) Some browning and small chips or creases at edges. Map is blank on the reverse side. There is a crease up the middle where it was originally bound. The map has some small tears and chips around the edges. Rare World War I Veterans War Service Medal- Pennsylvania Railroad-Circa 1919*Welcome To My Auction* Up for your bidding consideration is this Vintage World War I Era copper service medal that were issued by the Pennsylvania Railroad Company to Railroad Workers who fought overseas in the years 1917-1918. The medal was produced by the company U. Ellerhusen. The medal is Identified-Hand Engraved on the reverse side with the name C. E. Prichard. The medal measures approximately 1 3/4" inches x 1 1/2" inches. The words on the back of the medal read: Honor for Duty Nobly Done. Presented by the Pennsylvania Railroad Company to C.E. Prichard. An employee of the Pennsylvania System who served with the Armed Forces of the United States during the World War April 6th-November 11th, 1917-1918. On the front of the medal is a Soldier holding ... morea rifle and the words We pledge our fortu-our sacred-our lives and honor. The medal for being near 94 years old is in very good-excellent condition showing very little usage wear. It is a heavy medal weighing a little over an ounce. This is a 1904 specimen bond. Printed by the Franklin-Lee Bank Note Co. from the Quemahoning Valley Mining Co. a coal mining company of Somerset, Pennsylvania. Sixty coupons remain attached. Bond is not trimmed but is larger than the scanner bed. Condition is very fine with folds, small hole cancels and light wear. Shipping fee includes sending in a cardboard mailer, and multiple purchases can be combined into one package for one shipping fee. Fisher graduated from Pennsylvania's Indiana State Normal School(now Indiana University of Pennsylvania) and began his career as a teacher; he then served as principal for schools in Plumville and Indiana, Pennsylvania. In 1893. Fisher finished his law degree, was admitted into the Pennsylvania Bar, and set up a private practice. He won his first major office, to the Pennsylvania State Senate, in 1900, and was re-elected in 1904. He did not seek re-election in 1908, but he ... morewould go on to serve on the state's Commission on Constitutional Revision, and from 1919 to 1922 as State Commissioner of Banking. He rose to the Governor's office in 1927. As governor. Fisher focused on fiscal policy, public works, and conservation. In 1753 a stockade was erected within the present borough limits of that place, now extending beyond its original site, so that we find its location to be in this town, today. The location of this fort is described as follows: On High street between Hanover and Pitt streets, opposite Lot No. one hundred and the house of the late General Lamberton ... moreoccupied a part of the ground, being in what is now the most populous part of the town. There are no remains of the fort to mark its precise locality. The creek bearing the Indian name of Conedoguinet flows to the northward from where this fort was established. The cause leading to the erection of this fort was mainly owing to various bands of Indians who occupied the territory between the Susquehanna and the Potomac rivers.
