Original find. REGULATIONS FOR THE PENNSYLVANIA MILITARY COLLEGE CHESTER. PA Approved by The Commandant. 1941. Established 1892. Name changed to Widener University in 1972. Prior owner was Cadet Joseph M. Gladeck. Cadet Number 243. He was the father of Joseph M. Gladeck, Jr. former PA House of Rep Republican. Mr. Gladeck, Sr. attended the military college after graduating from high school in 1941. He died in 1998. Mr. Gladeck Sr. handwrote his name inside this book in 1942. This listing is for an original book from the Pennsylvania Military College in Chester. PA. It was given this name in 1892 and continued with this name until it was changed in 1972 to Widener. Book has a taupe hardcover with gold letter titling. Measures 5" by 7.5" and contains 122 pages. Contents all text, no illustrations or photos. This little clear bottle was found. Just north of Pittsburgh in a small town. It stands 3-1/2" tall, is hand blown, and embossed" Gilman's Pharmacy/ 627 Penna. Ave. Washington. D.C. The base is embossed. C.L.G.Co. The only problem with condition. Other than some light staining, is a possible bruise, on picture 3 and 4, there is a defect in the lip, below that you can see a drip in the glass on the neck. Right in that"U" shaped drip is either a 1/4" by 1/4" bruise, that does not go through the glass, or an air pocket under that drip. I have looked and looked at this and still am not sure.It is not much to worry about even if it is a bruise, it was probably done when manufactured. This auction is for a beautiful condition copy of the 1914 report of the Gettysburg Battlefield Memorial Commission PENNSYLVANIA AT GETTYSBURG. It is 162 pages. Octavo, in a maroon cloth binding with gilt title stamping. Published by the Penna. State Printer in 1914. This is a first edition copy, and comes from the Waterford, PA library of Sgt. Charles Himrod, the regimental quartermaster for the 83rd Reg. PVI in the Civil War. This will be mailed in the United States free of charge to the high bidder. A beautiful tribute to all of the regiments that served at Gettysburg from the State of Pennsylvania.

Here is a nice ver y old vintage pennant and quite"odd" no pun intended. GREAT artwork of the eyeball and the three links! This is a good looking I.O.O. F. PE NNANT. The Independent Order of Odd Fellows. The FLT in the links stand for friendship. Love, and truth. It is 23" long(excluding tassels) This pennant is in very good condition. The two close ups pics p ick up the purple background b etter than the other 3(too dark when I took pics) There is a label on the back that says A&Co NY trademark. I have looked into the trademark and have found pennants dated from 191 0- 1930s existing with that com pany. Based on my knowledge. I would have estimated this to be"at least" from the 1930s and I would not doubt that it could be older. The biggest reserve I would have had is that it looks so good. But the label confirms ... moreit is certainly not a rep roduction of any type. I did not take a picture of it. But I will also GIVE AS A BONUS to you a"card" that I got with this pennant. It is 9" tall and 3.5" wide and is copyrighted by the Sovereign Grand Lodge. I.O.O.F. 1896. It has the title at the top SHILLINGTON LODGE, NO. 1175 I.O.O.F. It then has a heading OPENING and it has a poem type saying that I assume the lodge would open its me eting by reciting. Then it has a CLOSING again wi th a po em type saying for ending the meeting. On the back it has 3 similar poe m/sayings titled"Initiation- Dirge" I nitiation" And"Installation" The card is in good condition- white with black letters. With the white"browning" more on the edges. Due to its age, but no deterioration. A very nice collectible piece for you to displ ay in your home or office.
