ANTIQUE 19TH CENTURY CHINESE QING DYNASTY TONGZHI MARK AND PERIOD BOWL. DATES TO THE TONGZHI PERIOD 1862-1872. BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE WITH A VERY RARE DESIGN ... moreAND COLOUR PALETTE. IT HAS BEEN SUGGESTED BY AN EXPERT THAT WITH THE PASTEL COLOURS BEING USED IN THE DESIGN WAS PROBABLY MADE FOR THE ISLAMIC MARKET. THE MARK IS NICELY HAND PAINTED AS SHOWN FOR THE TONGZHI PERIOD AND IT IS OF THE PERIOD. THE BOWL IS IN GOOD CONDITION YET IT DOES HAVE TWO HAIRLINES AS SHOWN IN THE PHOTOS. ONE IS ONLY SEEN UNDER UV LIGHT. I HAVE SHOWN PHOTOS OF SOME PIECES OF ENAMEL THAT LOOK AS THOUGH THEY HAVE BEEN CHIPPED OFF BUT USING A LOUPE IT IS WHERE THE ARTIST HAS NOT PAINTED THE ENAMEL TO THE EDGE. THE RIM HAS GOLD GOING AROUND IT THAT IS VERY FINE AND ONLY WORN IN A FEW PLACES. IT MEASURES 6 CM'S HIGH AND 10 CM'S DIAMETER. A STUNNING EXAMPLE FOR A COLLECTION!.

There is some bleeding in the cobalt blue color characteristic of transfer decoration in blue and white wares The wide unglazed circle of the backside shows genuine patina of age and oxidation. The bowl is 8 1/2" across and 2 1/" high. Good condition. No marks.

AAFA Antique Primitive Exceptional Early 19th C. Trencher Bowl in Apple Green
An Early 19th C. Trencher in the Original Apple Green Paint. Regarding provenance. The trencher was acquired from Maine dealer/collector. She purchased the trencher when it was de-accessioned from the Mary Gage Rice Collection at the Waterford. Maine Historical Society. In excellent condition and showing the expected wear from years of service, this trencher reflects the emphasis on function often found in 19th C. Americana. Hand-crafted from one piece of wood. Tool marks are visible where the bowl was shaped on the ends. The maker created thinner sides which are balanced with thicker ends. This design feature added strength to the ends for lifting and handling. While the thinner sides made the trencher more attractive in appearance and lighter in weight. The early milk paint exterior was added to preserve and protect the wood. A desirable ... moresize a 19" in length by 11" wide x 4 1/2" high. Please email with any questions. Elegant 9” Amber Glass 19th Cent. Bowl, Scalloped Rim, Lovely Painted Sweet Peas
Elegant 9” Amber Glass 19th Cent. Bowl. Scalloped Rim, Lovely Painted Sweet Peas, 1 Chip ~ ~ ~ The style, materials, design, beauty as well as its base wear suggest this is late Victorian, perhaps the largest bowl from a berry set. Measuring 9” by 3 5/16” this pale amber glass bowl has no scratches, indeed little wear other than that seen on its base, gilt border, plus the shallow chip(about 3/8” by ¼” which mainly shows because 2-3 of its white enameled dots are gone; the chip is not especially sharp. The 16 scallops around the rim were edged with“gold” originally but much of that is worn away from use. I do see a tiny chip on the top edge of one scallop, but it may have been a manufacturing flaw as it was gilded over at the factory, in my opinion. A highly detailed vine of blue, white, pink sweet peas, blossoms& buds, is“framed” ... moreby extensive tendrils with many leaves involving 4 shades of green to indicate shadows on the vine& its offshoots. Very skillfully painting of an intricate design, but of a simple subject. Elegant, understated, this berry bowl set filled with raspberries, strawberries, or even blueberries must have been lovely on the dinner table. As found, as is, still beautiful after all these years. Still useful too. ~ ~ ~ We charge actual shipping costs only, with no handling fees. Antique Late 19th Century AMERICAN Cut Satin Art Glass Bowl OUTSTANDING
Antique Late 19th Century AMERICAN Cut Satin Art Glass Bowl OUTSTANDING ATTENTION I ship ALL fragile things PRIORITY MAIL INSURED ONLY which I offer at cost. It is more expensive but worth it for your and my protection as EXPERIENCE has shown this to be the safest way to ship fragile items. The cost between Priority and Parcel Post under 5 pounds is insignificant. If over 10 pounds I generally ship UPS as safest way to go. Additionally I pack and wrap things very well to insure safe arrival. This is for an old and rare example of an American cut Satin art glass bowl. This was likely made by Gillinder's as I have seen other examples of very similar styles that they did. This is in very good vintage condition with only a very tiny nick or two on the edge but hardly noticeable and no harm to it. This one measure 7 3/4" square and may ... morehave gone into a metal frame. Thanks for looking and good luck. This weighs about 3 pounds Priority Shipping. There ARE NO charges for packing and wrapping but are always just the postage the USPS charges. If I miss the weight it comes out of MY pocket not yours. People STILL keep hitting me down in on the shipping in feedback which is a mystery to me as I OFTEN ship Priority which is a bit more expensive but on fragile items much more likely to arrive in one piece. THESE COSTS ARE FOR YOUR PROTECTION! Please understand that. This item may weigh out as much as 15 ounces less than the indicated weight BUT the USPS rounds UP the weight to the greatest pound over that additional ounce. This is true whether Priority or Parcel Post- this is NOT my doing. I spend a lot on bubble wrap and am glad to offer it for FREE but am at a loss as to why I am being consistently down rated on the cost of the postage and handling which I have NO control over. International buyers must pay with Pay Pal. Please note that all Internationally shipped packages will go out Priority International shipping with default insurance included with additional coverage over $66 available. This change is due to p

19th century amethyst glass finger bowl, more available
This listing is for a single amethyst glass finger bowl. There are 6 available. One of which is 1/4 inch larger than the others. All hand fashioned, you can expect some barely discernible differences anyway, but one single is more noticeably larger. POLICIES& PROCEDURES TO MAKE YOUR EBAY EXPERIENCE A POSITIVE ONE: If you are purchasing more than a single item. The calculator feature on ebay does its best and is occasionally accurate. The more you purchase, the farther off the mark the calculator can be. It's really pretty simple. If I click USPS as the best shipping choice for a single item, nearly always purchasing 6 will mean FedEx is the best choice. The Ebay machine tries hard but I'm the one to make the best choice for shipping a package after all is said and done. If shipping seems way off, just bring it to my attention ... morebefore deciding not to purchase. If you make the purchase and the automated invoice looks incorrect, SAY something. Don't just blindly pay when that darned automated screen insists that you pay- pay- pay- NOW- NOW- NOW. I ship by FedEx and the post office. Depending on cost and whether I think one can handle your package better than the other. Good job, you found the listing. So many of my shoppers are pretty new. Here are a few things that no one will probably tell you, but EVERYone will expect you to know. Customer Service is something that we have a right to expect when we are shoppers. All stores have a CS Department and it is busy all the time. If you require CS in this life, that does NOT mean that life sucks and the store sucks and your experience has been rotten. If it did, there would be no stores open anywhere in the world or else CS would have to put up bullet proof kiosks, right? As a shopper, your responsibilities, along with paying of course, include reading your email. Is your email address on file current? CS issues sometimes arise prior to shipping. Maybe the wind crashes a shelf and your item is broken, no longer available. It would be best if the se

Early 19th Century Marked Ettiene Enot of Paris Crystal Bowl On Ormolu Base
There have been a couple of pieces by this French artist available through exclusive auction houses in recent years. A vase of the same designer and same materials and relatively same size sold through Christie's for $3.000. Other comparable pieces with the same marking sell for 5-6,000. Check the Christie's site for more information. This is an heirloom piece. It is gorgeous and flawless. The base is marked E. Enot Paris. The bowl is inscribed E. Enot, 6R Chaveau Lagarde, Paris. The bowl measures 7" in diameter at the top. It stands slightly over 2 1/2" tall without the stand. The stand is 2" tall and 4" in diameter. Please ask any questions that you may have. Thank you for looking. Shipping will be insured. Please let me know if you have a preference for alternate shipping. I will only ship through a fully insured ... moreshipping service. I have been researching to every extent that I am able. Christie's has had pieces with the same characteristics and markings. They name the maker as Edmond Enot. I have come across other information from a seller in France who names the maker as Etienne with the following resources: Etienne Enot(1846-1905) was a French sculptor who studied at Des Ecole Des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he continued his studies in Italy and Greece. Around 1880 he started being influenced and fascinated with oriental arts and developed a characteristic style of fusion between east and west creating fine objects d'art and sculptures- he also traveled to the orient visiting Japan where his affinity towards the oriental style grow stronger. In the correspondences of the painter Paul Gauguin, Enot is mentioned"Because the Enot trade was the name of that merchant settled on 13 Pyramides street specialized in art work of glass, earthenware and bronzes"The Magazine"Almanach Du Commerce 1887 precises that Enot was also"a caster of bronze"Another Paris address mentioned"6 Rue Chauveau Lagarde" The bowl and stand do reflect the oriental style and the

Antique Victorian cranberry ruffled edge glass bowl or dish late 19th century
My great grandmother was an antiques dealer in the Pacific Northwest for many decades. She passed away back in the 1980's but I am only now getting into the many boxes of treasures she left behind. In the hopes of finding new homes for her wonderful collections. She had several lovely old Victorian vanity tables. And one of the things she liked to collect were old perfume bottles to display on her vanities, as well as rouge pots, silver dresser sets, etc. She also had a great quantity of art glass items on display. I do not know anything about identifying or dating these items. I am going to list them as I unpack them. I know Granny had a good eye. And I'm going to trust that other collectors out there have good eyes, as well. If you can help me in dating these in order to improve my listings, I would be grateful. You are bidding ... moreon a lovely cranberry glass dish- used for candy or compote. Perhaps? I believe it is Victorian. It has a ruffled edge and tiny light yellow dots painted on to give a look of gold decoration. It measures just under 6" across. I can see no serious condition issues with this piece- there is some very slight surface wear if you hold it up to the light, and in the inner part of the"folds" of the ruffles there is some crackling of the glass, but this may be original to the piece. Some of the yellow dots have a little wear, too- Look carefully at the pictures for condition issues. It is a beautiful display piece. Shipping is for the lower 48 only. If you live outside this area or outside the United States. Please email me for a shipping quote before bidding.
