Tri-cornered rim is unevenly pulled and pinched-one side is a bit longer. Almost creating a handled effect-definitely handmade. The ruffled rim is turned in at intervals. Along the bottom, encircling the rough pontil, is a hand-applied rigaree design shaped into 5 distinct scalloped feet done in canary yellow Vaseline-picture 6 shows the neon glow when lit with a blacklight. Also visible in the pictures are dark specks inside the bowl-these are flaws in the glass where dirt got into the mold while it was being blown. This vintage pair(2) of beautiful hand blown swan bowls are in excellent condition. Because they are hand blown. Each is a unique one of a kind collectible, but they are nearly the exact same size just the swirl in the glass is different. They have a beautiful green color with an orange opalescent swirl within the glass. The Maker is unknown and the year produced is also unknown but they come from the mid-century time period. This is a very pretty Vintage Pink Bowl or Brides Basket Insert Bowl with a floral design/motif. It is handblown with scalloped petal type edge and has the raised dots in a pattern around the edge of the bowl. It is creamy white in the middle area with one lavender flower in the middle and six lavender and yellow flowers around the edge. It looks like all the raised dots were painted gold at one time but most of them have rubbed off. It measures approximately 9 7/8 inches in diameter and 1 3/4 inches tall and the base that would fit in the basket measures almost 3 1/2 inches in diameter. This comes with a plate holder which is gold or brass in color.

Antique hand blown glass bowl. Although it is made up of opaque white and pink splotches of glass swirled in a transparent base. The over all impression is that the bowl is pink. It measures 8" in diameter and is 3" deep. The bottom has a low foot and appears flat in comparison to the inside of the bowl which has a raised center and has dips and raised areas. There are several bubbles imbedded in the glass and the rim has been ground, but not highly polished(is matt finish with some very tiny chips from grinding) There is a little"v" shaped impression on one side where it appears a hard tool was used to lift or turn the bowl while it was hot and being created.This bowl was passed down through at least 4 generations and is from somewhere in the 1800's from what I can find. Changing decor away from reds and blues. Fantastic early hand-blown ruby glass finger bowl measuring 5" in across by 3 3/8" tall. Some inclusions(as to be expected) as a result of the hand-blown nature. Flawless. No flea bits, chips or stress fractures. Pontil mark is rough but not sharp, tiny original flake at the edge of pontil. Bought in the late 1980s in Boston at a Newbury Street antique shop. No returns. Ships in tissue. Rare Unique OLD Art Deco Candy Dish Bowl Hand Blown Glass Bowl from 1930s 1940s
This bowl was in my grandmother's estate; we inherited it about 15 years ago. I'm afraid no one has any certifiable history on the piece. Other than the fact that my aunts and uncles all remember it being pulled out every now and then while they were growing up, for use as a candy or potpourri dish. I'm 40, so feel free to do your own age guesstimates from there. The rest of this description is simply what I can attest to with my own eyes.and it's simply intended to help folks decide for themselves the age/ history/ etc of this piece. It's 8.5" across at the top. And as perfectly round as I can tell. The square base is just barely shy of 3.5" square. The four groups of lines pressed into the sides of the bowl are NOT, however, perfect. They LOOK perfect at first glance, but upon REALLY CLOSE inspection, one can ... moretell that they don't all line up perfectly evenly along the top. This, along with the fact that the glass itself has the tiny air bubbles and tiny imperfections of a hand blown piece from the early 20th century are what help attest to the age. Everyone here believes it to be from the 30's or 40's. There are no chips and no obvious scratches on this piece. Even though we have the family history dating it back at least 60 years(that's a conservative estimate based upon everyone's memories) My grandmother was born in the 19-teens, so growing up through the depression it's no wonder that she took Extra Good Care of EVERYTHING.so it's no wonder this bowl is in such great shape. There is a single almost invisible mark on the base. Less than 3/4" long, but it's so imperceptible that it was impossible to photograph. Chances are you won't see it until you hold it up to a light.and even then you're still going to have to SEARCH for it. It's literally the only imperfection we've found on this piece.really amazing considering it all.

This bowl is about 14" across and 4" tall. It is spectacular by itself. With a flower arrangement or holiday decoration. It is part of my family's estate, probably from the 1920s. The only marking on it is a small, hand etched"847" on the bottom(see photos) It seems that this area is where the pontil mark was, from the glass blower. It was ground off and polished before the 847 was written. No chips, cracks, flea bites, etc. The base is sheared flat and there are some light scratches on the flat surface from normal use. The bowl weighs almost 6 pounds.

Victorian Hand Blown Cranberry Cased Bride Bowl Gold Crest Silverplate Frame Antique bride bowl- cranberry cased ruffled art glass with amber/gold crest along rim edge. Hand blown- polished pontil mark. Do not know maker- possibly Fenton. Bowl measures 10 1/4" across and stands 3 1/2" to highest part of ruffled rim. Base is 3 3/4" across. I feel a rough spot(1/8" area) in glass just under the rim. With a magnifying loupe. This looks like a possible manufacturing imperfection in glass. There are several air bubbles and tiny lines in glass in the area. The edge has roughness. Otherwise, no chips or cracks found in glass. Silverplate frame stands 10 3/4" tall and measures 9 1/2" across. Figural flowers and vines on handle. The four feet are dragons. Pretty floral band around section that holds bowl. The glass bowl ... morehas to be positioned just right to fit into the frame- very close fit. There is some wear to finish on frame. Do not find any markings. I have taken several photos and these provide additional description. My camera is picking up some hot spots along rim edge- these areas appear a little too vibrant. For U.S. addresses. Victorian Hand Blown Gold Enameled Cranberry/Pink Brides Basket/Bowl (European?)
Here is a Vintage Brides Basket/ Bowl? that is Hand Blown with a different edge treatment form most American Bowls. It is Pink with tips of the petals Cranberry with a Gold Enameled Victorian Design. It is possible that it is of European Origin but I am not sure and I could not pin point the age. It is 12" at the widest part 2 3/4" high and 3 3/4" base with Gold trim that has about half worn off. I could not find any wear on the Enameled Gold Design. This is a very nice piece of Vintage Victorian decorated glass. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. Translucent Cranberry Blown Glass Brides Bowl w/Hand Painted Enamel Flowers
This is an antique blown glass bride's bowl that is made of very thin translucent glass in a soft cranberry color. Which fades down to white at the bottom. There is a swagged ring of enamel flowers hand painted on the interior surface of the bowl, as well as flowers painted on the outer surface. There is the faint remnant of gold trim paint on the ruffled edge of the bowl. The bottom of the bowl has an indented pontil, which has been ground and polished. The bowl is 9 1/4" in diameter and 4" high. The bowl has a curved vertical crack. Which I have shown in several of my photos. Other than that one crack there are no chips, cracks, nicks, or stains. There is no loss of the enamel paint, but the gold trim at the edge of the ruffle is partly worn off. I am willing to combine more than one item in a package to lower your shipping ... morecosts. Hello. This is an auction for a vintage ruby red, hand blown bowl, with a wide ruffled edge. The bowl is in great vintage condition, there are no chips, cracks or damages. It measures, 2 1/2 inches deep and 8 1/2 inches in diameter. Large Light Blue Blown Glass Rose Bowl with Hand Painted Enamel Flowers & Leaves
This is a light blue blown glass rose bowl that is decorated with gold/yellow enamel stems and flowers which are trimmed with a thin layer of bright gold trim paint. There is also a narrow band of gold trim paint around the top. There is an indented ground pontil on the bottom that was left a little rough. Not polished. The bowl is 5 1/2" tall and 6 1/2" in diameter. It is in excellent condition. With no chips, nicks, or cracks. The enameling all appears to be present, but some of the glossy gold trim paint has faded or darkened slightly. I am willing to combine more than one item in a package to lower your shipping costs. Hand-blown late 18th early 19thc Ruby Red Antique Glass Finger Bowl - Christmas
Will be out of the country for three months commencing 6 November. Must be paid for by 5 November or I will cancel transaction and relist in February. Changing decor away from reds and blues. Fantastic early hand-blown ruby glass finger bowl measuring 5" in across by 3 3/8" tall. Some inclusions(as to be expected) as a result of the hand-blown nature. Flawless. No flea bits, chips or stress fractures. Pontil mark is rough but not sharp, tiny original flake at the edge of pontil. Bought in the late 1980s in Boston at a Newbury Street antique shop. No returns. Ships in tissue. Then bubble and then nestled in peanuts with insurance and tracking. Thanks for looking.
