Was a collector, former museum curator and lecturer on Asian art at the University of British Columbia, Canada. She also played an important role in creating the Canadian Society for Asian Arts which got its start in Vancouver in 1968. Over her lifetime, she collected a fabulous collection of Chinese antiques, mostly snuff bottles, and porcelain. Most of her pieces were collected between the 1940's- 70's in England and North America. We were lucky enough to purchase some of the nicer pieces which we are offering on ebay. Antique Clear and Amber/ Yellow GLASS Footed Bowl with an etched design along the outer edge. This dish measures approximately 7 inches diameter across the top and stands 3 1/8 inches tall. The base is 4 1/2 inches in diameter. It is in Great Vintage or Antique Condition with just one very tiny spot(fleabite? on the rim. It looks like it could be a bubble in the glass right on the edge, it is hard to see. I see some tiny chips on some points of the cut glass pattern part, this is also hard to see. This is a beautiful set that my Mother's cousin received as a wedding gift. She was married in the 30's. It was wrapped in news print with the date of 1956. It is in very good condition with the exception of a small chip on the inside rim of the bowl. The set appears to be hand blown glass and is a beautiful Amber Color. Comes with 11 perfect glasses. The design is very unique. Unfortunately the ladle was broken. But the pieces fit together perfectly and could be glued for display, see the pictures. This is a small punch bowl 8 inches tall. A very fine antique. Circa 1880's, mold blown melon ribbed brides basket on four legs and with stiff thorn handle. The bowl has a milk glass core with shades interior deep pink, the rim applied in amber glass. The four legs are leaf form amber glass, the handle as amber glass thorn stems. Ground pontil to underside. It measures 13-1/2" tall by 11-1/2" wide by 9" deep. Excellent condition: without chips or cracks, no missing thorns, no chips to feet bottoms.

Peach Blow Glass Bowl Antique Drip Torn Little Fingers Edge Amber Pink Uranium
Large Peach Blow Glass Bowl This is one of the first pieces I purchased when I started collecting glass. It is awesome. I I have never been able to identify it and have never again seen one like it. It is a large 11 and 1/3 inches in diameter and about 3 and 1/2 inches tall. It weighs about 4 and 1/2 pounds. The glass contains uranium. So the underside white glows a bright green in a ultraviolet light. It has one old smooth chip on a foot that is not noticeable unless you turn the piece over and does not effect the sit of the bowl in any way. It has some manufacturing flaws in the surface including little bumps. There are also a few scratches. It has a polished pontil mark. It is truly an excellent piece. An antique cased cranberry and white glass brides basket bowl with gold crest. Note the crimped. Folded and ruffled rim. Ground and polished pontil area. Unmarked, attributed to Fenton, dates to the late 1800’s– early 1900’s. Measures a full 10 1/2 inch in diameter. 3 1/4 inches tall and 8 1/8 inch across at the folded section. The mounting foot measures 1/2 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter. Condition is excellent as there are NO chips. Cracks, scratches, internal staining or repairs present. We accept PayPal. Up for your consideration is this stunning Antique Victorian Brides Basket marked Wilcox Silver Company. The blown glass blood cranberry bowl with ornate leaf gold/amber glass accent. This stunning rare piece measure 4" tall and has the markings Wilcox Silver Plate Company. Quadruple Meriden, Conn numbered 4490. The brides bowl measures 8 1/4" in diameter and is 2" high. This brides bowl is beautiful with a blood cranberry color fading into a creamy lighter yellow color and accented with a gold/amber ornate blown glass trim. I see no chips or cracks in the bowl. The silver plate base has some age wear on the underside.

This piece has a polished pontil mark on the bottom, 2 applied handles and a footed base. It is not signed but I believe it is a piece of Bohemian glass, exact maker unknown. The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. It shows some wear on the foot base from being moved but this is normal wear consistant with age. The bowl has a beautiful hand painted scene of a palace with a horse drawn couch with seated ladies inside, several men on horse back, a man in hunting outfit along with a hunting dog. The scene is also trees and a fence on the other side of the bowl. This scene is all hand decorated, it is not a decal or print. I could not find a signature or makers mark but Im sure it was an expensive piece when originally purchased. This is a true piece of art and would be great addition to any collection. Decorated with hand applied enamel and gold. Various delicate flowers and filigree. In very good cared for condition. It measures 12 inches by 3 1/2 inches. The bottom is 3 3/4 inches wide. A fine addition to your collection. There is one small flake to bottom edge. I am pointing to it in the last photo. There is one tiny small fleabite nick to one tip. On the under(white part) as pictured. This is not noticeable and noted for accuracy. Also pictured is a tip where the white glass came over.
