It is definitely not watertight and you can see daylight through the cracks. The bottom of the bowl is flat and the edge of the spoon is textured. Look at the photos. Have you seen a spoon like that? Antique Cut Glass & Hand Painted Bowl Red Green Gold
This listing is for a very nice antique cut glass bowl. This bowl has been completely hand painted in all of the cuts. The cuts are rose blossoms. Stems with thorns and flowers. The rim is gold. There is some wear on all of the hand painting. I have tried to show this in the pictures. Take a look. This bowl is from the late 1800s, early 1900s. I feel the wear is honest wear from years of washings and cleanings. It measures 7 3/8" across and stands 2 1/4" tall. There are no chips or cracks. The bottom is ground flat with cuttings. Just a great piece.

The gold trim painted on the lip has mostly worn away but the enamel is strong. This would look amazing if someone was skilled enough to repaint the lip. The only flaw to the glass are 2 little fleabites as in the last photo on the inside of the rim-they can't be felt along edge with your finger and if the rim was repainted they would completely disappear. The bowl is 2.5" tall and 4.75" in diameter. I purchased this at an estate auction and have included the label-it says"Bowl from Tiffany in New York-very old" I can't find a maker's mark of any kind on the bowl and am not knowledgable enough in the subject to know if ... morethis is actually Tiffany so please make your own decision. Up for auction is a very heavily cut glass bowl which belonged to my husband's grandmother. Where she got it. I don't know. I took lots of pictures so you could see the pattern. The top is scalloped and has a saw-tooth edge. The glass is very thick and, as a result, the bowl is quite heavy. My husband's grandmother used this bowl so if you pick the bowl up and look closely, you can see fine surface scratches on the inside. When the bowl is sitting on a table, you can't see the scratches. This bowl is simply exquisite! I am parting with it because it's not Colonial, and that is the style of my furnishings. Elegant wheel engraved Bohemia glass bowl strawberries berries hand enameled A beautiful Victorian era glass bowl which I believe to have been made by one of the European glass houses however it could have been made by an American maker. Overall condition is very good with no chips or cracks to make note of excluding one small nibble to the top edge rim(see pictures) There is an expected amount of wear to the gold trim along the top edge but the colors on the strawberries and leaves is still nice and bright. The bowl measures 8" by 5 1/4" across its widest points and 3 1/4" from the highest points of the top edge to the beveled base edge. Tri-cornered rim is unevenly pulled and pinched-one side is a bit longer. Almost creating a handled effect-definitely handmade. The ruffled rim is turned in at intervals. Along the bottom, encircling the rough pontil, is a hand-applied rigaree design shaped into 5 distinct scalloped feet done in canary yellow Vaseline-picture 6 shows the neon glow when lit with a blacklight. Also visible in the pictures are dark specks inside the bowl-these are flaws in the glass where dirt got into the mold while it was being blown. While not too attractive, ... moreit's actually common and can distinguish antique glass from newer items. The body appears white in the pictures, but that's mostly due to the flash. Pair (2) Vintage Large Swan Bowl Figurine Green/Orange Swirl Hand Blown Unique
This vintage pair(2) of beautiful hand blown swan bowls are in excellent condition. Because they are hand blown. Each is a unique one of a kind collectible, but they are nearly the exact same size just the swirl in the glass is different. They have a beautiful green color with an orange opalescent swirl within the glass. The Maker is unknown and the year produced is also unknown but they come from the mid-century time period. These swans were displayed on each end of a mantle piece. They would make a great conversation piece on anyone's shelf. Measurements: 11 inches wing to wing, by Approx 14 inches tail to beak tip. by 8 inches tall at the swans head. Each weighs approx. 3 1/2 lbs. Thanks for looking. Brockunier& Company was issued a patent on January 29, 1884, in William Leighton, Jr.s name(extracted from"The Collectors Encyclopedia ofAmerican Art Glass" by John A. Shuman) This is comprised with mica flakes laid atop of a base color and an added color, and blown out to a desired shape that is encased in a clear top layer. This bowl features an 8 point ruffled edge and sky-blue side walls. Please note that there is a NATURAL blackish mark underneath the top layer in the bowl's bottom that is as-made. The backside shows its usual pontil mark and, of course, typical wear for the bottom due to use. There are NO chips or knicks or cracks or breaks at all.
