Fenton Carnival Grape Pattern Fernery/ Bowl Circa 1910 Low $ NR
Description We are proud to offer this Striking Superb Amethyst Fenton Grape and cable fernery(scroll-footed bowl) With above average color. Iridescence and presence it has been in my family carnival collection for over sixty years and is ready to add its beauty to yours. The piece is not marked but I believe it is Fenton due to the large and varying numbers of grapes in the clusters. Very collectible color, nice condition circa 1910- 1914, in good shape, however it has some damage and one manufacture flaw: one internal crack in bottom of bowl, not visible unless held to light and some cooling bubbles in one of the scrolled feet with some resultant roughness and color wear at that spot(plainly illustrated in pictures) the piece has swirls, straw marks and bubbles common to carnival manufacture. This great bowl is amethyst in color with electric ... moregolden bluish purple interior, fabulous iridescence and high reflection; exterior of bowl has a complex design of Grape clusters, leaves and vines. The Bowl measures 6 ½ inches diameter and is 3 ½ inches tall. This delightful piece presents dramatically and displays dazzling hues of color it is sure to compliment your home and enhance your antique carnival collection; a great item from a great American glassmaker at a very reasonable offer. Antique Victorian period bride basket with original insert bowl, circa 1895
This gorgeous bride basket is truly an antique. These baskets dating from 1890-1915 approximately. This particular one dates to around 1895, the silverplate holder is signed by the maker Barbour Silver Co of Conn, USA and was taken over by International Silver Co of Meriden, Conn around 1898. So it is truly an old one. The ruffled bowl has a cranberry rim that changes to semi-opalescent glass- clear glass with milky white daisy pattern. The bowl fits like a glove inside its basket, I am absolutely sure this basket and glass insert were made for one another, this was not a case of mix and match. The basket has a single wide foot that has a scrolled pattern design to its rim. This foot has 4 separate places where a monogram could be engraved, if so desired. There is no monogram on any presently. This foot measures 6 inches across. Regarding ... moreheight, from base to top of handle, it measures 12 inches. Across, the glass bowl insert is measured to be approximately 10 inches. The basket frame polished up nicely but needs more on the top at the handle. Condition as stated above. Please note: The shipping prices to Canada and United States DO INCLUDE insurance and tracking. International shipping to countries outside of Canada and US.
