In a beautiful gold with metallic flakes that shades to a lighter gold in the center with a clear glass rim edge. The outside is white. Measures approximately 8" 8 1/4" in diameter, the pinched in section measurres about 5" across and stands 3 1/2" tall. It might have sat in a silver plate frame at one time. The bottom has a ground pontil mark and the base measures about 2 10/16" in diameter. It is in perfect condition, with no chips or cracks. First the measurements: The beautiful ruffled bowl is 8-10 in it's undulations. The metal frame is approximately 9 1/2 wide and 11 1/2 high. I see no flaws in the bowl, no chips, cracks. The frame is in great condition no repairs or blemishes, although there is pitting on base, the part that is covered by the ruffled bowl. The hallmark is clear and it has an engraved number on the bottom. The ingraining on the base is exquisite. Shaded Blue Opaline Opalescent Enameled Victorian Blown Glass Brides Bowl Basket
This is a lovely piece of Victorian art glass. I believe it is a bride's bowl or the insert to a small bride's basket. It is in opaline or opalescent glass that is mostly opaque white in the center. But then shades to a very blue and transparent edge treatment. The inside of this bowl has a lot of the blue especially out close to the pure blue edge, but the outside or bottom is mostly just pure white until you reach the transparent blue edge. It is hand decorated in an enameled floral design and has an image of a walking couple in the very center. That image has suffered a lot of wear and is a little faint, but you can still make out the very old attire of the man. His clothing actually looks older that Victorian. It looks more like Colonial American era, so this piece was probably made in the late 19th century and was designed to ... morework on their romantic nostalgia for earlier times. The bowl measures about 6" across and is about 2 3/4" high. It is a blown piece of glass, and has a pontil on bottom. It has a stepped foot with straight sides, and I think was meant to fit down into the silver-plate ring of a Basket. i wish I had the metal part too, but the glass insert is all I have. Hello. This is a beautiful antique Brides bowl with metal basket. The metal(Unknown, might be pewter) basket stands 12" tall and has a wonderful detailed and ornate design. The widest area across from ball to ball is 12" The bowl is a double crimp ruffle with a clear crest at the top and is a pinkish cranberry color. It has three groups of hand painted flowers with one on the bottom. The flowers are a mix of pink shades with yellow buds, blue petite flowers and green accents. The artist did a wonderful job of paint blending to create the colorful roses. This large bowl is 10" across and 4" tall. The bowl is in excellent used condition and so is the paint. No damage. The metal basket has the patina a basket of this age would display. with no repairs.

Antique victorian brides bowl on stand hp extremely beautiful
Very nice brides bowl on silver plate stand. Stand has damage to the curl under one of the angels causing it to stand slightly tilted. This would require a very slight bend back into the original position. The missing metal is not that noticeable. See photo. Very slight paint damage shown in photo and general wear to gold paint. VICTORIAN CASED ANTIQUE BRIDES BOWL - BASKET WITH RAISED ENAMEL FLOWERS
Up for auction is a beautiful Victorian Berry or Fruit Bowl. Also known as a Brides Basket or Brides Bowl or Victorian Centerpiece bowl. The glass on this bowl is simply gorgeous. It's a lovely shade of rose or even cranberry, translucent until the milky cased glass envelopes it from the mid section to the bottom. The glass is finely tooled and worked with a beautiful cut edge or fleur-de-lis. The inside of the bowl is enameled with daisies or wildflowers in white and shades of mustard and yellow. There are flowers and leaves, all in clean original colors. The enamel is in excellent condition with no loss that I can see. This is a large and extremely beautiful bowl. The bowl is about 12.5" wide at the diagonal and 10" wide across. The bowl is about 3.5" deep. The base is somewhat rounded at the foot. About 4.25" across. ... moreIt would probably take a holder of 4.5" in diameter in a silver plated frame but again this is more of a rounded foot. The shape of the bowl is actually square if you view it from above or below. Victorian art glass bowls such as this were often paired with elaborate brides basket frames(as they are called today) made by companies such as Meriden, Wilcox, James Tufts or Rockford Silver Plate Company. This bowl is likely by one of the American makers such as New England or Mt. Washington, but it could also be Bohemian and made by S tevens and Williams or Stourbridge. I find no cracks. Breaks, chips or repairs to the bowl. The glass is clean and shiny and the enamel work again is gorgeous. All in all this is a lovely and charming example of Victorian fancy goods. Description Offered at auction is a gorgeous Victorian enameled cranberry glass bride's bowl which measures 10" in diameter and is 5" tall. The bottom rim which would fit in a basket is 4" in diameter and over 1/2" deep. The glass has light thumbprint patterning and a ruffled and crimped rim. The sides are decorated with heavily enameled flowers. Branches, leaves and stems in green, pink, lavender, white, yellow, orange and brown. There are also gold leaves and stems. The bowl has a ground base. It is in very nice condition with no cracks or noticeable chips. It has one small(less than 1.4" flake on the bottom side of one ruffle. The enameling has no losses. Victorian large 12 inch diameter very deep ruffled Brides Basket Bowl with gorgeous Victorian Enamel pattern design. The enamel is very detailed in yellow and blue outlined in white against the lighter pink inside glass. The ruffled edges are deep pink and the backside is white with an opalescent look to it. Measures 12 inches diameter. 5 inches tall and the base is 3 3/4 inches diameter. Hand blown with polished pontil. I believe this may be Mt Washington. My friend believes Charlton decorated but regardless this is one of the nicest and prettiest enameled design I have seen on this type Brides Basket. Brides Bowl Victorian Hand Painted Beauty with unusual base!
This Brides Bowl is probably quadruple plate but I cant find a mark. The base is gold and original to the piece and the colors in the hand painted bowl match so well. I don't think it was ever just silver plate. The crimped edges of the bowl have a pale yellow tone, The predominately peach bowl has a gorgeous hand painted design.
