This is an antique. What I believe is cut glass, footed bowl. It glistens and the cuts are deep. The bowl is heavy for it's size(3.75 inches tall and 4.75 inches across the top. The only issue I can see, and you have to look very carefully, is along the fan design. There is a line that goes through it. You can't feel it on the outside or the inside and you have to look hard for it, but it is there. I could not get it to show in a photo. I do not know if it is a hairline crack or just the nature of such an old piece. It is very pretty and this"flaw" would be be noticed unless you were looking for it. This would be a nice addition to your collection. These items came out of an old estate in Independence. Missouri and were stored in an old steamer trunk. The husband died in 2008 at the age or 93 and his wife passed away this ... morepast year at the age or 90. The niece of the couple sold everything at auction. Up for auction here is an old Pressed Glass Serving Bowl. It has a lovely Grape and Leaf and Vine design. The mouth of the bowl is ribbed glass. Center of the bowl is a Sunburst or Flower design. This bowl is made of clear glass that has taken on a Purple Hue or Tint. No maker's mark to be found. There are several large"straw marks" on the inside and outside of the base of the piece. They look like cracks but are NOT damage. They are part of the manufacturing process. I've taken lots of pictures so you can see. Wish I knew more about this pretty bowl. if anyone knows more. Bowl and Cups Fresh out of a Prominent Boston Massachusetts Estate. Brilliant Pressed/ Moulded Glass Condition is Perfect. I do not see any chips or cracks. Not even a flea bite on anything. Clearly a cherished set Incredible! This set includes the punch bowl. The massive under tray and 12 cups. This set deserves a sterling silver ladle of the same time period. Not included. The pressed glass is made with a heavy weight crystal due to its heavy feel and composition. The bottom has no scratches and there are not any scratches on the piece that we can observe, no damage is present, noticeable- the piece has absolutely no damage that can be seen.
