It is done in all geometric patterns with 4 panels of cane motifs leaving the center a clear square, there are fans, miter cuts(eyelid? that have very tiny diamond cuts in a triangle shape in between the miters. There are no florals on this piece. There is a clear space between the top of the design and the toothed rim. The stem is great. It has a series of 1/2" dia dots alternating around& down the length of the stem. The 4" dia base has a 24 point miter cut star(not a hobstar) Issues: One tooth is chipped. The outer surfaces of the beveled teeth have tiny nicks. There are surface rubs or scratches on the underside of the base. I have not been able to locate a signature. Spectacular Cut Crystal Flaring Trumpet Vase American Brilliant Period
For your consideration is this beautiful antique flaring trumpet cut crystal vase. This stunning piece measures approx. 11 3/4" high x 7 1/4" wide at the top and approx 4 1/2' bottom diameter. The highly detailed cuts are amazing and the piece weighs over 3 pounds. My research indicates that this piece is from the American Brilliant period but I can find no markings which is common for the earlier pieces. You collectors will know what you are looking at better than I. This piece is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks and just amazing. American Brilliant Period(1876-1912) cut crystal bowl. Heavy clear crystal. Refractive and brilliant. Hobstar and fan pattern. 3” Height X 8” Diameter DS#3512-13 There is one small chip at the rim(see red dot) and several innocuous fleabites throughout; otherwise Very Good Condition.
