This was likely made by Gillinder's as I have seen other examples of very similar styles that they did. Kick up base with rough pontil mark. 1st half of the 19th century. 8 inches wide by 4 inches tall. Weighs 1 lb 6 oz(shipping weight 2 lbs) Condition: Good. No chips or cracks. Noticeable stretch marks and swirl marks in the glass. There is a filled in small hole near the interior of the rim. I believe this is damage was done and repaired during manufacture. Antique 19th Century Glass Brides Bowl MT WASHINGTON Fluted Edges
Antique. 19th century, circa 1880-1900 brides glass bowl. The edges are beautifully fluted with the two sides higher than the rest of the bowl. It is a deep rose cranberry color with white cased glass on the edges and underneath. There are blue pansy like enameled flowers with gold leaves and trellises. Measures 9 1/4 by 11 1/2 inches and 4 3/4 inches at its highest point. The bottom diameter of the center base is 1/2 inch in height by 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Great condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. For your consideration is a gorgeous 1880 era French enameled and gilded glass bowl with scalloped rim and rolled three feet. The scalloped rim is thick with 24 carat gold adorned with a light pink rose garland and a ring of beautiful tiny blue enameled flowers. The inside base of the bowl has an encircled three sections with rosettes that cover over the base of the three rolled legs. The wonderful 19 th century bowl has is opaque and slightly textured on the inside and the outside is very smooth. This is a very lovely antique bowl. This fantastic Bohemian Cut Crystal measures 11.5" x 8.25" in width. And 3" in height. With the handle up it measures about 8.25" tall. The bowl does have some condition issues mostly chips to the edges of the bowl. The most significant chips appear to be on the corners. The Bohemian bowl is simply amazing in its craftsmanship. It has superb glass cutting and enameling. The handle was attached post manufacture and bears dutch hallmarks. The hallmarks date the handle to 1851.

A vase of the same designer and same materials and relatively same size sold through Christie's for $3.000. Other comparable pieces with the same marking sell for 5-6,000. Check the Christie's site for more information. This is an heirloom piece. It is gorgeous and flawless. The base is marked E. Enot Paris. The bowl is inscribed E. Enot, 6R Chaveau Lagarde, Paris. I have come across other information from a seller in France who names the maker as Etienne with the following resources: Etienne Enot(1846-1905) was a French sculptor who studied at Des Ecole Des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he continued his studies in Italy and Greece. My great grandmother was an antiques dealer in the Pacific Northwest for many decades. She passed away back in the 1980's but I am only now getting into the many boxes of treasures she left behind. In the hopes of finding new homes for her wonderful collections. She had several lovely old Victorian vanity tables. And one of the things she liked to collect were old perfume bottles to display on her vanities, as well as rouge pots, silver dresser sets, etc. She also had a great quantity of art glass items on display.
