This has an openwork scrolled frame with leaves that gracefully vine in a basket shape. Three ball feet and a solid handle with engraved floral design. The bowl is 10" long by 5 1/2" wide and 4 1/2 high, this is 1/2" thick, it is lead crystal, the bowl rings when tapped, there are tiny bubbles in the glass consistent with the age, it has a slightly blue-green tint. The bowl has a deep saw tooth edge, ribbed sides and a starburst in the bottom. The edge has a sharp, clean cut. Overall the piece is 9" tall, 10 1/2" long by 7" wide. The bowl of this gorgeous basket is ruffled and fades from clear dark pink on the edges to light pink opalescent and to white in the middle. This piece is from the maker's cameo line in the"Griffins" design. The color is rose/pink. The bowl measures 4" high. 9 1/2" across at the top and 3 7/8" at the base. There are no markings. Unfortunately the bowl is not in perfect condition. There is a large rim chip as pictured(it looks like someone carelessly removed it from the frame) and a light stain on the interior-see photos to evaluate. Hand blown- polished pontil mark. Do not know maker- possibly Fenton. Bowl measures 10 1/4" across and stands 3 1/2" to highest part of ruffled rim. Base is 3 3/4" across. I feel a rough spot(1/8" area) in glass just under the rim. With a magnifying loupe. This looks like a possible manufacturing imperfection in glass. There are several air bubbles and tiny lines in glass in the area. The edge has roughness. Otherwise, no chips or cracks found in glass. Silverplate frame stands 10 3/4" tall and measures 9 1/2" across. Figural flowers and vines on handle. The four feet are dragons. Pretty floral band around section that holds bowl. The glass bowl ... morehas to be positioned just right to fit into the frame- very close fit. There is some wear to finish on frame. Do not find any markings. Antique Figural Victorian Silverplate BRIDES BOWL FRAME, Perched Tropical Bird
Each ornate foot has the"Pat. Apd. stamp. But I find no makers hallmark. The tropical bird with upraised wings is a terrific accent. The diameter for the base of a bowl is a hair under 2 1/2" From the rim of that to the perch is a space a hair under 3 1/4" and the overall width allotment for a bowl would be up to about 9" depending on its overall form. There are no dents. The place where the berry is behind the bird's tail feathers look like it may have once been soldered to the opposite side of the holder. Kate Greenaway Figural Silverplate Frame With Spangled Hobbs Bowl
Spangled Bowl& Greenaway Figural Frame of Dog and Girl The bowl has mica chips entrapped in the opalescent body. It has a clear ruffled rim and cranberry exterior plating. This large centerpiece bowl was made by Hobbs. Brockunier circa 1883 when they introduced their“Spangle” line of glassware. The bowl base measures a hair over 5” in diameter with a ¾” lip. It is 9 ¾” wide and 4” deep. The bowl is pristine and is a perfect match to its frame. The Kate Greenaway silver plate frame is stamped' mfd. plated by Reed& Barton#4480. The frame measures 10” high x 10 ½” wide. It has a square base. The silver plate is all in tact and in excellent condition. But needs polish.
