Vintage FENTON Art Glass Blue Opalescent Hobnail Crimped Ruffle Edge Bride Bowl
Here is a very pretty vintage art glass bowl in the blue opalescent hobnail pattern from Fenton. This pattern was produced during the mid-century around the 1940's-50's. It measures 10" across and 4" deep. It has a double crimped edge that is translucent at the very end of rim. There are no nicks. Chips, cracks or scratches that I can see. It will need a little bit more detailed cleaning in the rim area. It looks to be in pretty much perfect looking condition. Priority shipping and handling includes delivery confirmation in the USA. Shaded Blue Opaline Opalescent Enameled Victorian Blown Glass Brides Bowl Basket
This is a lovely piece of Victorian art glass. I believe it is a bride's bowl or the insert to a small bride's basket. It is in opaline or opalescent glass that is mostly opaque white in the center. But then shades to a very blue and transparent edge treatment. The inside of this bowl has a lot of the blue especially out close to the pure blue edge, but the outside or bottom is mostly just pure white until you reach the transparent blue edge. It is hand decorated in an enameled floral design and has an image of a walking couple in the very center. That image has suffered a lot of wear and is a little faint, but you can still make out the very old attire of the man. His clothing actually looks older that Victorian. It looks more like Colonial American era, so this piece was probably made in the late 19th century and was designed to ... morework on their romantic nostalgia for earlier times. The bowl measures about 6" across and is about 2 3/4" high. It is a blown piece of glass, and has a pontil on bottom. It has a stepped foot with straight sides, and I think was meant to fit down into the silver-plate ring of a Basket. i wish I had the metal part too, but the glass insert is all I have. It is in excellent condition. I picked up several pieces of nice Victorian art glass lately from the home of a dealer. I am selling them in other auctions. You should look at them too.

This is a magnificent antique crimped footed bowl or rose bowl by Northwood Glass company in the circa 1905 blue opal/ opalescent spool of threads design. It is very similar to button panels and Alaska/ Klondike fluted scrolls patterns. This pretty piece measures 4 and 1/8 inches tall and 4.25 inches across the top. Tri-cornered rim is unevenly pulled and pinched-one side is a bit longer. Almost creating a handled effect-definitely handmade. The ruffled rim is turned in at intervals. Along the bottom, encircling the rough pontil, is a hand-applied rigaree design shaped into 5 distinct scalloped feet done in canary yellow Vaseline-picture 6 shows the neon glow when lit with a blacklight. Also visible in the pictures are dark specks inside the bowl-these are flaws in the glass where dirt got into the mold while it was being blown. While not too attractive, ... moreit's actually common and can distinguish antique glass from newer items. The body appears white in the pictures, but that's mostly due to the flash. blueopalbowl Offered for sale is a most unusual opalescent glass bowl. With a double or even triple crimped edge. This is of a translucent white glass that turns gradually to shades of blue toward the edges. The final color is clear or crystal at the very edge. The bottom of this cased glass piece has a ground pontil mark, and is marked with barely legible inscribed numbers that appear to be 675. Though stable on a table by itself, the bottom foot of the bowl measures 2 1/2" in diameter and is slightly less than 1/2" deep. This suggests it may have been used as a Victorian bride's basket insert. This measures 10" in diameter and stands 3 1/4" high to the tallest point on the ruffled rim. Though it resembles old Fenton"petticoat" or crest items, this is of a more delicate weight and structure, and is indeed ... moreof an unusual color. It has inside a great little heavy enamel painted insect. Either a fly or bee. With lines painted around the inverted glass circles inside with flowers and leaves all over them. VICTORIAN BRIDE'S BASKET INSERT LIGHT BLUE OPALESCENT WITH RUFFLED EDGE
This bid is for. What I think, is an insert from a Victorian Bride’s Basket. The basket is a light blue opalescent with a swirled bottom. The edges are ruffled and the sides are in a diamond shape pattern. There are some black specks on the glass and I don’t know what they are. I’m not sure if that’s part of the glass. There is a bubble or a dent in the glass at the bottom. There are no chips or cracks. The bowl is approx. 3 ¾” high and approx. 7 ¼” across at the top. Measured from corner to corner it’s approx. 9” at a diagonal.

Unusual Victorian Art Glass Blue Opalescent Whimsey Bowl Upturned Side, 1 Handle
This auction is for an early Fenton or Victorian era hand-blown blue opalescent silver crested whimsey bowl with one handle.small in size. But big in character. Done in a Jack in the Pulpit shape,with one side up and the other down, it's pale pale blue in the very center, darkening as the color extends up the sides and eventually ends in the silver ruffled edge. The"up" side on this small bowl has a square-shape applied crystal handle. Very unusual.at least, I've never seen one like this before. Deep orange/pink opalescence when backlit with a strong light. Condition on this piece is minty-no chips, cracks or apologies. The pontil on the bottom is sharp, as are the ends of the handle where they've been applied to the bowl. Has a clear ring when tapped. Measures 5.75" from wide side to wide side, and 4.5" from ... morehandled side to pulled down side. 4 1/8" high at the top of the handle. Very unusual.at least, I've never seen one like this before.
