Wonderful detail work, the lamp ... morehas a bronze finish, I don't think it is solid bronze, but it is quite heavy and does not attract a magnet. I believe the top hardware is replaced, but both pulls are working smoothly. You will need hardware to attach a shade. There are no cracks, or breaks. You can see the mold line running through the feathers toward the bottom, and there is some finish wear, including a spot that looks like a paint drip. This a fabulous and extremely rare form, unfortunately it is not signed to identify a maker, but it was definitely done in the era of Tiffany, Handel, Pittsburgh and the other fine makers of that time. Measures about 20 3/4" tall and weighs about 6 3/4 pounds as it is right now. Shipping charges include insurance and signature confirmation.

The shade is made of a cast metal with a bronze finish and fitted with six amber(caramel) slag glass panels. The base has a pull chain double socket and is also made of cast metal. There is some age appropriate surface wear to both parts of the lamp such a patina and finish loss. Also there is a crack in the shade's metal frame(see pic 7) and some light scratches on some of the glass panels but none that are apparent(most of these are just deep striations in the glass made during production) Otherwise the lamp is wonderful condition and is in perfect working order as well. The shade measures 16 1/4" W x 8 1/4" H. The lamp base measures 20 1/4" H(with& without shade) x 7 1/8" W and is marked on the bottom: E M& Co 1159. Good Luck& Happy Bidding! An antique slag glass table lamp. The shade to this lamp is exquisite. This beautiful lamp features a cast iron body painted with a bronze finish. The body sits atop a round base features a low relief scale motif that morphs into a spiraling fluted column. A double pull chain light fixture with a finial that holds the ornate shade. The pierced iron shade bracket is also painted with a bronze finish and has an ornate decorative motif. The lamp holds eight curved panels of colored slag glass. Which have an orange and cream swirl pattern. Lamp tested and is in working order. Base is 8" W; Lamp is 24 1/2" H; Shade is 17 1/2" D Lamp will be triple boxed and insured for maximum safety.

Bradley & Hubbard Multi-Colored 18 Panel Slag Glass Lamp - No Reserve
Up for no reserve auction is a Bradley& Hubbard slag glass lamp. It measures 15" across the diagonal. 13.5" flat to flat and stand 22.5" tall. The finishes on both base and shade are original and match well. It is 6 sided with 3 tiers of glass in each panel. All of the glass is original and is in excellent condition. No cracks. The overlay is also excellent. The shade is unsigned but a known Bradley& Hubbard. At some point, someone added a cap to the top of the shade. Originally, this probably would have set on arms and would not have had a cap. However, someone put a 6 sided cap in the top so it would sit on a regular base. I will leave it up to the new owner if they want to take it back to original or leave it as-is. The shade is also not perfectly symmetrical. Looks like it sat on it's side for a while and pushed ... moreout the sides. I'm sure with patience, both of these problems can be fixed fairly easy. The base is unsigned. It works when plugged in. There are no cracks or chips in the base. The bottom of the base is cast iron. And the stem/column is spelter. The brown paint on the base is worn and chipping away throughout. The harp and finial/heat cap are secure. The plug and cord are also in good condition. The metal overlay on the shade is slightly greening; there is also slight greening on the stem. Offered for your consideration is this antique 6 panel slag glass lamp shade only. As seen in the photos. It has fractures in three of the panels. After taking the photos, I taped the front and back of each of the fractures to secure for shipping. You will have to peal the tape off. The repair job was not done well on the fractures, so a couple sections aren't secure enough not to tape. The diameter of the lamp is approximately 17 3/4" It was from an estate of a 68 year old. Many of the items were his grandparents. I only ship within the USA and DO NOT SELL WITHIN THE STATE OF FLORIDA. Good luck bidding! This will be boxed with plenty of padding around. That box will be placed in another box with padding between the boxes.

Beautiful carmel swirl slag glass curved panels with a leaf and floral metal overlay lamp shade. 19.5" 8 panels, 6.5" tall, the base has eight slag panels with a Gothic church design, interior light inside the base with a off and on switch, total height 23" unsigned, heavy over twenty one pounds. Needs restoring and sold as found, all the slag glass is intact, no chips or cracks, just normal manufacture inclusions on the glass, this is a things that needs to be done to bring this spectacular lamp back to life, which I should have done myself but will leave it up to the new owner. Three light socket lamp. Working although one of the sockets is missing the lower cover and will need to be replaced. The electrical cord is not original to the lamp. Shade has 6 mainly white panels and 6 mainly blue panels. The upper panels are mixed in shades of purples and carmel along with white. The lower blue panels are mixed in shades of blue and white. Upon inspection one of the lower blue panels does not fit end to end(top to bottom) with the upper panel and overlaps the upper panel to the inside. I attempted to adjust the upper panel to make it fit but it will not move enough to adjust the lower panel. The filigree is Oriental in design. Wonderfully styled base. The lamp shade and base appears to have at one time painted white. There are numerous areas of flaking and/or discolored paint. I call it patina. I can not find a makers mark. So please use the pictures to identify it based on construction and style. The metalwork is very finely detailed and intricate. The glass is in excellent condition as are the metal pieces. The only condition issue on the entire lamp, is that one of the keeper blades on the inside of the shade for the glass is missing(see pic) this could easily be repaired and does not affect the value. Rainaud? Antique Art Nouveau 8 Panel Carmel Slag Glass Lamp Turtle Shell Shape
Beautiful. Antique, double socket, caramel colored slag glass, turtle shell shaped dome/shade table lamp. The base is a heavy metal. Probably cast iron. It has an intricately detailed ornate pattern throughout including painted leaves toward the bottom. There is some paint wear present throughout the base. The round base measures about 6 1/2" in diameter and 21" tall. The shade measures 3-1/2" diameter at the top and sits on the round finial base piece. This part is slightly out of round and does not seat properly. It measures 18-1/2 x 16-1/2" at the bottom and is more of a turtle shell shape than round at the bottom. There are 8 panels of caramel colored. Curved slag glass. The glass pieces are all intact without breaks, cracks, chips or fleabites. The shade metal I believe to be aluminum. There is no corrosion on it ... moreand it appears somewhat pliable. There are a few places in the metal that are broken and where paint has been marred off showing a silver color but it’s not“green” like it would be if it were copper. Pull chains on the sockets easily click on and off. These function properly. I believe one to be original and one to be a replacement. The cord is original and not frayed. The only marking I can find is the#1 on the bottom of the base. I believe it to be Rainaud because I have seen this pattern attributed to them and dated 1916-1930. If the 1 on the bottom indicates the mold number. It would be earlier rather than later. This has been stored in a box wrapped in newspaper for 34 years as the newsprint shows a date of 1980. This beautiful lamp would make a great addition to any lighting collection or a great lamp to use. Please refer to the photos. For the best details enlarge the photos to show the broken leaves. 1910 Mission Arts & Crafts Stained Slag Glass Green Lamp Shade 4 Panel & Fringe
This auction is for an antique four-panel Arts& Crafts green slag glass lamp shade. This shade would date from the 1900-1920 time period and is guaranteed to be original and old as described. Definitely from the Mission/Arts& Crafts time period. There are three separate glass panels found on each side. The shade measures 13" wide and just over 10" in height. Supported by a hammered brass metal framework as seen. It has the original black silk fringe found around the outer perimeter which adds further charm and character. No breaks or damage found overall. Definitely older and not reproduction. For auction I have a Beautiful 1930's Bent Slag Glass TABLE LAMP Signed SALEM BROS. with all the original Finish and Patina. All the original filigree is intact. There is some minor paint loss and this can be seen if you look at the top photos of the shade. Another issue is one of the clips that holds the glass in place needs some work. Most of the clip is there but not enough to bend over the glass see photos. The last issue is also a minor one. at one time or another this lamp has been rewired and they used an ugly white cord. The Salem is an interesting one. Spelling it SALE-M Bros. over a clipper ship(see my last photo) This lamp base measures 23 1/2" tall including the finial and 7 3/8" across the base. ANTIQUE LATE 1800's SLAG GLASS LAMP WITH DECORATIVE FRETWORK AND 8 PANEL GLASS.

A LITTLE HISTORY: It is thought that manufacturers created slag glass by taking slag. The waste content of metal ores, from iron-smelting works and adding it to molten glass. The process created a variety of effects, such as tortoiseshell and marbling. Slag glass is often found in brown, like this listed lamp} purple, blue, and green, with streaks of white or cream. The glass originally went by descriptive names such as, marble glass, or"brown malachite. The British company Sowerby patented its recipe for purple malachite in 1878. Lampshades were a popular application in both England and the United States. Nearly any lamp maker from the Art Nouveau period may have used slag glass in their lampshades. ... moreSome people often refer to any type of pressed glass containing swirls or streaks as"slag glass. According to a well know collectors publication, the key to identifying true slag glass is to look for obvious and richly marbled glass. THE LISTED LAMP: This lamp has varying shades of brown and cream. The glass is encased in a brass framing with decorative fretwork around the bottom of the shade. Each of the eight glass panels has an Art Nouveau design in the bottom center of the panel. The metal lamp base itself is rather different than many. In that it does not incorporate a top disc or finial by design. The shade fits over a large metal circle at the top of the harp structure to hold the shade. See photograph# 4& 8} Once in place, the shade will not come off without lifting it straight upward over the lip that is a bit higher than the shade. However, it will allow the user to somewhat easily rotate the shade to display the glass panel of their choice. While the base is not very elaborately decorated, or very thick in circumference, it does give an interesting look to the large shade. Lovely antique Art Nouveau 6 panel slag glass table lamp
In this auction we have a lovely antique Art Nouveau 8 panel slag glass table lamp purchased at an Estate sale in Eastern Pennsylvania. Unsure of it's age but we put it around the early 1900's. Very ornate in it's floral decor and fitted with three pull chain sockets. This lamp is simply gorgeous by design. It measures approx 22" tall with the width of the shade 14" across. Beautiful Antique Large Eight Panel Slag Glass Leaded Lamp Hand Painted !!
Beautiful antique large eight panel slag glass lamp. Circa 1900-1910. Elegant and stately urn shaped metal base has nice belle flower detailing with scroll feet. Has a gold wash over a silver finish. Nice original patina. Caramel slag glass panels are nicely handpainted with urns and floral sprays and leaf motif designs with art nouveau lines. No breaks or chips on any of the panels or metal frame. Lamp measures 25.5” tall. The shade itself measures 21” wide and 9.5“ high and the base is 9” in diameter. I was told lamp is signed Miller under metal base plate but I have never taken apart to see. The three bulb lamp has been rewired. Has original sockets and replaced saturn pull chains. The lamp has three panels that look to have been repainted with leaf design. The panels may have been replaced but are a perfect match. This is a beautiful vintage LARGE and heavy metal and bent slag glass lamp. It has a metal filigree shade with six slag glass panels. The panels have a blue-violet top slag glass and a lower green slag glass. The metal shade has trees and lake scenes on each panel. The metal base is very ornate and all the metal parts are a pale yellow color. The lamp has two bulbs with pull chains for on and off operation. No makers mark. The lamp is 24" tall to the top of the finial. The shade is 20" across and 10" high and very heavy. Great condition. We always recommend that lamps be rewired for everyday use.
