The metal has a nice patina, and the glass balls are in good, crack free condition, but dusty/dirty with normal use scratches at bottoms. The wooden base is in good condition, again, dusty/dirty. At the top is a 4" diameter, rusty hardware piece for attaching the seat, with three screws, one is missing as there should be 4. Beautiful. Elegant Antique High-back Piano/Organ Stool Up for auction is my grandparents' antique ball-eagle-claw-foot high back Windsor Victorian piano stool. This stunning& elegant Victorian-era piano stool has 4 shapely turned legs with gorgeous ribbing finished with the magnificent ball eagle claw feet. Beautifully turned spindle stretchers secure the legs to the centerpiece pedestal. Original finish. Still in great condition. A true work of art and quality craftsmanship. Dating from about 1870 to 1900. A swivel adjustable stool with original ball and claw feet was made to use with a piano or organ. I do not know the exact hardwood, my best guess is it is solid mahogany. The finish is in excellent condition meaning there are no chips or scuffs* I believe it is American-made. It looks like Charles Parker, however I cannot find ... moremanufacturer's name on it so it could be custom made by an independent craftsman. Sorry, I just do not know since I am not an expert on antiques such as this. Please note: There are a couple of cracks that are visible in the finish(upper back of chair/right and left side) But chair is completely intact and secure. I do not know the origin of these imperfections- not sure if this is a hairline along a seam, or something to do with the way chair was made, or if the chair fell over at one time. Chair is still sturdy and although these hairlines look prominent in the pictures, you really have to look pretty hard at it to see them. Also please see pic of pedestal base of chair seat. There is a gap in the seam that does not affect sturdiness of chair, but cosmetically you may want to glue/repair. Antique Victorian Pressed Carved Walnut Organ/ Piano Stool Circa 1870-90s Victorian walnut pressed carved organ/ piano stool. The 4 legs have press carving of leaves/ wings? with a beaded trim. Tops of legs all have a turned finial. Bottom has an acorn finial. Seat skirt has an Eastlake line carving. Seat is adjustable from a low of 18"H to a high of 21-1/2"H. Flowered upholstered seat measures 16-1/4"L x 12'1/4"W. Four screws hold the upholstered top on so if you want to re-upholster it is an easy job. Marked on the iron mechanism"TONK CHICAGO& N. This is an amazing piano stool from the Victorian Era. A time period characterized by incredible ornamentation and attention to detail. It is a whopping 26" tall, 14.5" side-to-side and 14.5" front-to-back. This piano stool has claw feet, an intricate bottom support system of pillars and legs, and a swivel seat with a raised 10" backing for comfort. The seat swivels perfectly with no issues. The gap beneath the seat and the rest of the piano stool(where the swivel mechanism is) shows some glue work to secure the seat to the rest of the stool, and in no way interferes with the swivel mechanism. It is only visible when one turns the stool on its side and looks inside the gap; otherwise, it cannot be noticed. It is a nice looking functioning stool. There are no makers marks. It has ornate gold or brass colored feet. Three of them. It is 19" tall from floor to the top of the seat. It does not have a raising mechanism that I could locate. There is some slight wiggle to the seat but overall it is pretty in tact overall. Please see pictures. Others I could find while researching this seemed to be from the late 1800's. It has the unpolished brass claw feet. The glass balls have NO cracks and r in very good condition with bubbles. On the bottom of the glass feet are pads so they didn't get scratched or cracked. I will leave it up to the buyer to keep them on or remove them. On the underside it says TONK NEW YORK CHICAGO. There is what looks like a scratch on the main middle leg but is the way it came from the factory which is a flaw in the wood. Please look at the photos I've showed it in one of the pictures. Antique 19thC C.W. Chadwick Carved Walnut Victorian Piano Stool Velvet Bench
This is a beautiful piano stool circa 1889. It is in very good condition with what looks like original sawdust stuffed cushion. The red velvet has faded however. The wooden base is carved from what I believe is walnut. There is a cast iron stool spider supporting the top marked C.W. Chadwick North Acton Massachusetts. There are nails around the bottom from perhaps a time when it was recovered but the original cushion was not replaced. There is pencil on the bottom which indicates 89 so perhaps it is dated 1889. It appears to be from that time period. Measures 17"w x 12"d x 19"h. Thank you!

The metal eagle claws show nice line detailing. Clear glass ball feet show minor chips but in very good condition& the bottom of the glass feet have a flat edge. Signed Patd Nov 22 1881 Seat is 14" x 14" but actually about 14 1/2" square counting the fancy decorations. Seat covering looks original with some wear-no tears-and feels like the old material made of horsehair and camel hair that they used in the old lap robe/blankets. A few moth chew marks that don't go through. I think the wood is mahogany but is tough to tell with the old dark finish on it. Sound and solid with no chips,cracks or repairs. Leg spread is 14" toe to toe. Some wear to the embroidered decorative strip around the seat but not too bad. Up for sale is an original Lyons& Healy Piano Stool from the 1800's. Has 4 glass ball metal claw feet. Lyons& Healy Chicago is on a metal piece underneath the seat. The seat has 3 two inch cracks around edges. Which is to be expected for a piece of this age. Can be restored or kept the way it is. Measures 18 1/2" tall, 14 1/2" diameter seat. Lyons& Healy originally made piano music in 1864. But then there were 4 fires, on of them the"Great Chicago Fire in 1871" which destroyed their records. They started making pianos and organs in 1876 so I am assuming that this could have been made then, since it does look like it is from the 1800's They then turned mainly to musical instruments, particularly harps. This is an ornate antique Victorian adjustable piano/ organ/ harp stool. The stool is in great condition and appears to retain its original mahogany finish. It is made of solid wood that is stained mahogany. It has metal claw and clear glass ball feet. The glass balls are not cracked and the legs and base are ornately turned. The seat is covered with padding and red velvet. The cloth is not ripped or torn. But has some light stains. There is some light wear and scratches from use on the wood, and the legs are a little loose, but could easily be re-glued. There is a white cloth wrapped around the adjustment screw in the seat to keep it from squeaking as much when it turns. The round piece of wood under the seat has been re-glued as seen in the photos. Is is a rise and fall piano stool however the piece of metal that houses the thread has worn so it will need replacing. For sale 1870's Piano Bench that raises and lowers by the Knobs on the ends of the stool by way of the metal mechanics under the seat. This was very avant-garde for the period. Adjustable piano bench were round and turned on the wood corkscrew dowel attached to the seat. The wood which I believe to be walnut is in. EXCELLENT dark stained condition and has never been painted. The seat was recovered but I believe was just put over the original seat as I can still see the strapping underneath. This stool is solid and has a nice weight(over 15lbs) I believe the wood is Mahogany but I am not 100% sure. The stool works as it should and swivels up and down. You are bidding on a beautiful piece of vintage furniture from my Aunt's collection. I remember this piece being in her home for the last 40 years. I am not certain where it came from originally, but this is a very nice solid oak piano stool, with adjustable seat, lovely glass ball and claw feet, and very nice design. It has very minor wear from age as we were not allowed to sit or play on it. I searched for a name or maker and only could find an incised number in the bottom of the top of the stool. The base is made of solid wood with a dark stain and the seat is upholstered with either the ORIGINAL tapestry or a replacement from very near the same time period. The tapestry is that of an urn with flowers in it. And both the tapestry and the fringe are in great, usable shape. Such an old historic fabric in such good shape, is rarer than the stool itself. There is a small part of the cast iron base plate that is missing but it does not affect the stability or function of the stool. The seat is stable and spins freely. As it should. Antique - Victorian "Tonk" Piano Stool covered in a Beautiful Needlepoint
This is a wonderful Victorian TONK Piano Stool. Covered in what appears to be a wool hand stitched needlepoint. The needlepoint is in excellent condition. With a beautiful Burgundy colored background surrounding a floral design.The edges are held with hand hammered tacks, also in excellent condition. The legs are tooled wood finished with a metal foot holding a glass ball. Most likely the metal is cast iron.The legs are painted beige in color and do have several chips and dings in the paint. The glass balls also show some chips and wear but are in great condition, considering the age. This appears to be made in the late 1800's. Under the seat stamped in the metal frame are names of two(2) locations: New York, Chicago, and the manufacturer- Tonk. The complete swivel mechanism is not included, the inside threaded casing seems to be missing ... morefrom the stool. The seat part does have the threaded rod. However, you can sit on it. Please see photographs. It stands 20" high& about 15" wide as is. This piece has been in my family since the 1970's. This vintage piano stool would be a fantastic addition to your collection or as a centerpiece of conversations.

This is a Victorian Piano Seat with Clawfeet. This stool is in relatively good shape but needs some tlc. The glass balls might need to be changed and the wood needs reconditioned. I'm not sure how this chair is supposed to work but the metal piece might be broken. But when the seat is on it seems to swivel just fine.
