Antique Small Round Foot Stool ~ Needlepoint Top ~ Cast Iron Legs ~ 1897-1903?
I am offering an antique small round Foot Stool with a Needlepoint top. It measures approx 10" in diameter and 7-1/4" tall. It is a wood base with four cast iron curved legs. The Needlepoint is an off brown color with what looks like a basket of flowers in center. The needlepoint is tight and all in really good shpe. With a a few loose threads, could snip off, but I have left as is and I am not sure how old Needlepoint is. Not sure if all is original, but now has what looks like painted gold around wood edge of stool, on the round balls under edge between each leg, and gold on the outside of the 4 legs, black inside. Around the approx 1" edge it is worn and has knicks, pictures will show. The tacks holding in the needlepoint are the original brown color. The legs are fastened tight with screws and one must have come out at ... moresometime because a newer screw has been used on one leg, and a picture will show. It has been in my family since new and was purchased from Wormser Furn. Co. in Fresno, CA. You will see where someone wrote 1897 on back, not sure who, but Wormser Furn bult a new store in 1903. I have for your consideration a Antique Cast Iron Footstool with a Needle Pointed Cover. Cast iron base is in black. There is some minor chipping to the paint and underneath there is evidence of a gold color paint. The top in upholstered in a vintage black ground needle point with oval beige center surrounded by flowers and leaves. The center of the oval beige has a bouquet of flowers done in petit point. Footstool in in very nice condition with no breaks or repairs. Needlepoint is very nicely executed. When needlepoint was placed onto the footstool. Some of the needlepoint canvas was left exposed, look at photo#8 for a closer look. It can only be seen if stool is turned upside down. This early antique footstool is 11 inches tall and 13 ¾ inches across. The needlepoint is salmon color with green and tan decoration. The parrot and butterfly are done in petit point. We do not know the age of the needlepoint but it does look quite old. The stool dates circa 1870.

Antique Needlepoint Top Mahogany 14" x 14" x 11" Foot Rest/Stool
I went to a good estate auction the other night in old and historic Sturbridge Mass and scored three mirrors and three clocks and this excellent foot stool were all part of the same estate and fresh to the market. I just like this overlooked but popular piece of furniture and have always done well to keep an watchful eye. This is all original and in great condition and should make an alert shop visitor pretty happy. The needlepoint area is in the best condition I have seen and the frame never repaired. It measures about 14" square x 11" tall. And I'm guessing this to be from right around 1860's-80's, I think rite after the Civil War time frame. Not sure what style to call it to me Federal is the closer than Eastlake, Empire, Queen Anne even though the legs are sort of. I tried to take some good pictures to show it off ... morea bit and also tried to price it it nicely to make it a worthy investment that will not lose value. Vtg 1870's antique 19th century wood foot stool with needlepoint flowers
It is 4"H and 12"L x 9 1/2"W. Some balding areas on the needle point. That would be expected considering it's age and intended use. The previous owner added eye hooks and wire to the back so it could be hung on a wall for display. These can be simply unscrewed to remove but it will leave 2 small holes on the back. The pad is filled with horse hair. and there is a tear on the back cover. Those are not cracks in the wood on the sides. They appear to just be a natural part of the wood and was always there. Lovely Antique Vintage Foot Stool Needlepoint Bowed Cast Iron Legs Floral Rose
Awesome looking antique/ vintage needlepoint foot stool about 6 1/2" high and about 10 1/2" in diameter. I do not know much about these kind of old items so the description I give you is from observation and goggling. There are larger size needlepoint and quite small needlepoint in the floral designs which I think is called petit needlepoint. When I first got the stool I softly tapped the stool a bit and lots of dust came out; it does not look dirty but choice of any cleaning I always leave to the new owner of the treasures I find. No rips or holes to the needlepoint and sturdy material. Really does not show wear damage. The darker colors do not look faded but the solid kind of pink color and pastels looks like they might be. If it is or not, it is consistently the same color. The ornate cast iron bowed legs have worn gold spots ... moreshowing metal, particularly on the bottom feet and spots which would have been handled a lot. Goggling I found similar legs which stated they were late 1800s- early 1900s and French. Whether needlepoint cover is original to the legs I have no way of knowing but hardware used to put together is old. See pictures for condition. This little treasure was part of a parishioner's estate donated to her church that holds an annual fundraiser from these types of donations. Antique Victorian Foot Stool Spittoon Cuspidor Deer Needlepoint Top Hoof Feet
Here is a rather unique item. Or hard to find at best. It is a foot stool with a pedal that lifts the lid, inside is a spittoon. The top is needle point with a deer head in the center and a somewhat aesthetic look around it. There is wear, some damage, and fading to the material. The spittoon is white ironstone which has general all over crazing, some staining, and a chip in one of the rectangular pieces that is on the top. The wood is in good overall condition with some wear ans loss of finish. The pedal lifts the lid, it is in working condition, but the lid has some wiggle in it when raised up. Measures about 14" in diameter at the feet, a bit less at the top, and about 9" high. See photos for condition detail. Gorgeous Victorian foot stool. Covered with green tapestry, needlepoint type material. I did not pull the material loose to look at it closely. It is very pretty. Four legs are cast Iron painted gold. All material is nice and tight and is held with tacks. It measures 9-1/2" across and 6-1/2" tall. The cast iron feet alone measure 5" tall. The wood on the stool is split. it has been put back together with metal pins. The stool is very sturdy.

1800's Needlepoint Three~Legged Foot Stool
Round. 3~legged foot stool from the 1800's. Lily of the Valley needlepoint top. Notice the hand stitching around the border fabric and the not~quite perfect placement of the old upholstery tacks. The wood is in its' original condition. Stool, which measures 8 3/4 inches high and 8 3/4 inches across the top, is sturdy. The needlepoint has a slight dusty smell, but nothing smoky or offensive.
