The frame is made of wood and it has a great Eastlake design that was common back in the 1880s or so. The wood has a few chips here and there, but it’s overall an extremely nice piece. Measures about 17" square so it’s a very nice, large piece. Guaranteed old and original! Missing a metal cap on one of the bottom of the feet. We have for auction this Antique Circa 1880's Victorian Eastlake Swivel Piano or Organ Stool. Very nice adjustable stool and in very good condition. The only problem is one rosette on one leg has come off at some time and I believe you can see that in the 5th picture. Nice red velvet top and great craftsmanship. Very nice antique piece. Antique Eastlake Walnut Ottoman Porcelain Castors Foot Stool Floral Brocade
This auction features a decorative antique ottoman or foot stool. This ottoman measures 16 inches in diameter and is 14 inches tall. The cover is a heavy floral brocade-like covering. Burgundy in color, and as one can see in the tag underneath, has been on this stool since February of 1942. The fabric shows light signs of wear, just enough to appreciate the utilitarian aspects of the ottoman, but not enough in my opinion to recover. There are no holes, rips, tears or stains on the fabric, and it is clean and odor free. The base wood of this piece is walnut. And the finish is the original finish. There is an old repair to one of the legs, almost cannot be seen but mentioned for accuracy, and there is a separation on one of the decorative elements which will need to be clamped and glued. Both of these“issues” are minor in my opinion and do ... morenot detract from decorative element of the piece. The castors are all four matching and are original to the stool.

This item is in excellent condition with no missing or broken parts. It is very unique in design. It can be used as a bench/footstool and the top lifts up to expose a storage compartment underneath. This compartment can be used to hold sewing items. Magazines, books, slippers or anything else that you would like to store. I believe that it was originally used as a slipper bench, which was common in this era. A gorgeous all-original Eastlake stool that dates from the early 1900s if not earlier. Overall measures 20" long 19 1/2" high x 11 3/4" wide. An aged beauty that appears to be cherry wood with burl insets. Heavy over-stuffed top is in a rich floral brocade that is trimmed in a green velvet piping.light wear to the weave from use at the back corner. It appears that the weight of the lid broke through one hinge at one time but not seen from the outside. A gorgeous period piece that is in excellent used condition. Lovely!

Up for auction is a walnut Eastlake Victorian footstool covered with a Marsali flaming boteh rug fragment as upholstery. Given the degree of corrosion in the black portions of the rug the carpet cover is 100 years old or more as is the stool itself. Probably both are from the fourth quarter of the 19th century. The stool is sturdy. At some point it was reinforce with angle iron viewable only from the underside. It is not a professional upholstery job which is part of its charm. It certainly is unique. Sitting by itself. It makes a statement and you can even rest your feet on it. It measures 15 inches in height and the stool surface is 11" by 19" Shipping in the lower 48 states is $22. Antique Eastlake Era Piano Bench Piano Stool Needlepoint Top Storage in Bench I’m baaaaack! I had the incredible opportunity to chaperone a school related trip to France. Germany and Belgium. It focused on American conflicts in WWI and WWII and it was heaven for a history lover like me. I was able to fit three items in my bag for you– look for them this week. I’m also still listing new items from my Indiana picking trip– lots of barn find and Amish farm finds from the two fellas that I visit every year. Enjoy! Wow. Is this one pretty. It's an antique, late 1800s piano bench/stool in all it's fancy glory. You don't often see a bench style, and this one opens up to provide a little bit of storage, so it was a no brainer to buy. The needlepoint top is lovely- I do not know if it is original(my guess is no) but it isn't anywhere ... morenew, either, and it works with this piece very well. I'm guessing that it has faded over the years- the color is a grey that has a hint of blue in the right light, and it's faded more on the ends than in the center. It's accented with sprays of flowers in shades of pink, blues, greens and golds. The fading is really the only issue that is major(if you call it major, I call it shabby pretty) the back left corner of the needlepoint material has come loose right at the corner and could use to be tacked down a little- even if you didn't, it's barely noticeable, and it's not damage, just life. The top is fairly dusty, and could use a good cleaning- I think that would brighten it up a bit too, I have not cleaned or messed with as found patina in any way. The top of the bench measures 21" by 9 1/4" and it stands 17" tall at the center of the top. The bench is very lightly padded- it doesn't feel like a newer type of foam padding, though, it feels older to me and harder than you'd have with a new foam. It weighs 9 lbs. It measures about 11" wide X 22" long and stands about 21.5" tall. The top is beautifully embroidered and the base has fabulous carved fretwork. I'm not positive but I believe the wood to be walnut. It's a very sturdy piece and in great condition for its 100+ years. There is a split in the wood on a piece of the fretwork and there are some holes and wear in the embroidery. Description Victorian Eastlake footstool. With chip carving, has a needlepoint cover. The expertly stitched needlepoint features a floral bouquet on a brown background. It has a well hidden seam running down on one side. Although the needlepoint has some age to it, I suspect it's not original to the base. The footstool was well made and is strong and sturdy. It measures approximately 15.5" X 15.5" and is 13" high. The wooden base has turned legs. With incised bands. Scuffs are present on the legs, but still hold the stain/finish. The corner blocks have chip carving, with detailed carving and cut-outs on the stretchers. Since a picture is worth a thousand words. Exceptionally rare adjustable height victorian era Eastlake style organ or piano stool or bench There is a knob at one end to affect the height adjustment and it connects to a wooden screw. Which actuates a mechanism to raise and lower the bench. Legs pivot in the center and a mechanism keeps them centered always. Included is a small roll of fabric that I was going to use to recover. Manufactured identical to each other in every way except for the size! These two antique pieces are in good condition. Their age being well over 100 years! The full size footstool features cast iron legs that were plated. To appear as brass. The woolen fabric is in good"antique" condition with signs of wear, nothing major though. The wool cover underneath is intact with someone long ago having made a few minor repairs( as in re-tacking with nails) along the underside. Truly nothing major. See photos please. ANTIQUE 1880 VICTORIAN EASTLAKE PIANO STOOL WOOD SWIVEL ADJUSTABLE CARVED
Up for auction we have an Antique 1880's Eastlake Grollman Manufacturing Co. Chicago Swivel Adjustable Piano Organ Stool. This one is a beauty! I believe it has its original straw or horse hair stuffing. There is Tan& Brown strip plush fabric with Brown colored upholstery tacks on rectangle wood top. I’m not sure if the fabric is original or not. Line grooves going around the wooden sides. 3 ornate carved legs with round appliques on all the sides(one has a crack see pic) There is detailed carvings along with spindles on each leg. The wood I believe is Oak and is in BEAUTIFUL condition. With very minimal wear! Metal swivel base plate reads: GROLLMAN MFG CO CHICAGO. The bottom has the original fabric that is weaved for bottom strength. There is one missing wooden finial that appears at the top of each leg under the seat. You really ... moredon’t notice it because the seat blocks the view. The other two can be taken off if it bothers you. This is an adjustable stool so the seat pins up and down to adjust the height. This spins freely. When completely lowered it stands 18.5” tall. The full height when extended is 22.5” tall. The seat measures 16.5” x 13” Condition: Very Good Antique Condition! This sale is for a great antique walnut Eastlake Victorian foot stool. Made around 1880 and in a good shape for age. Please look at all pictures as they are part of the description. Handmade needlepoint with brass tacks and in perfect condition. A really great piece. Nice patina with some normal age wear to the wood. One old repair to one leg, but it's all good and tight. It has a maple wood with what I believe to be the original velvet red cover. which has 1 very little worn spot on the fabric corner.
