TONK 1880's Piano Swivel Stool with glass claw feet Up for auction is a stool came from an estate sale in Illinois. Overall it is in good vintage condition. The cast iron bracket on the bottom of the seat reads"TONK CHICAGO" It has been painted black during it's lifetime. We are selling it exactly as it was found. Structurally it is solid. Beautiful turned legs finished with metal ornate claw feet with glass balls in the claws. The diameter of the seat is about 14.5" The unit has been used and shows some wear. What a great piece! This little trunk measures 15inches long by 8 inches deep and 8 inches high. ... moreThere was no tray with this trunk when found but one was built for it out of oak and poplar. The trunk itself is made from pine and is metal bound. All the metal has been hand burnished but enough of the patina has been left to preserve the antique character of the piece. The lock is an Eagle lock and the latches function but are no longer spring loaded. The trunk has been refinished in a golden oak stain with multiple coats of sealer both inside and out. The original covering has been left on the underside to give a sense of the original look. The trunk is in overall good shape but because it is over 100 yrs old there are dings. Dents splits and cracks but these are minor and add to the overall antique feel. It is a very well made solid little trunk that will last a lifetime if cared for. There is one repair underneath seat that you can view in the closeup photo. There are also some cracks and chips that are typical for age. Nothing structural. The wood is a beautiful golden color English Pine. From the back it gives the appearance of being a very large barrel as it is made in a similar manner. This bench was purchased in the Massachusetts area about 50 years ago from an antique shop. The owner was told that it was an Irish Settle made in Ireland early 1800's. Two Antique Victorian Welsh Pine Benches Shabby Chic Two antique Welsh pine peg-jointed benches which date to the Victorian era. They are original in terms of paintwork and design and are about 6 feet in length but both were once much wider- about a third- but were cut down a long time ago in order to fit into the dairy at our farm. They were there when we moved in and that was 25 years ago. The design. With the shaped splats inserted into the back rail, is typical of the Lampeter area and one would imagine both were made by the one person or establishment who probably made coffins as their principal venture turning their hand to other objects during slack times. The cream-coloured bench has arms and the superstructure appears to be mainly oak with the seat pine. Dimensions are- width 73½" Height 36" to top rail and 18" ... moreto seat and depth 16½" The plank for the seat is 1¾" thick and is a single-piece of wood. The red-coloured one is 78" wide. 35" high to the top rail and 20" to the seat and depth of seat 13½" The seat again is made out of a single piece of wood 1½" thick. This is made wholly out of pine and not so heavy or rigid as the other bench and there are nails here and there but it is still soundly constructed. There is some evidence of dead woodworm- as one would expect- and the odd split here and there and a little wear to the bottoms of the feet. But, all in keeping with an item of vernacular furniture of this age. Prospective bidders are advised to please study the many photos- 21 of them- to make up their own mind about condition. I have listed these as"Buyer Collects" but we can help a little bit with delivery and would be prepared to travel with them to the end of the M4 motorway at Cross Hands for free. Regretfully. I am listing my antique church pew. It came from a church in Springfield Ohio. The pew dates to the late 1800s. It is made of oak with an antique pine seat. It measures 5'6" long. It is 23 inches deep. The angle on the back is approximately 6 inches. It still has the Bible and communion inserts in the back. It is 42 inches tall. I added stained 2 x 4 bases at the bottom. The actual pew was mounted to the floor of the church. It does show some wear from where the church pews were removed at the bottom. It was a little short without the original base. That is why I added the 2 x 4 to the bottom. It is beautiful and I hate to get rid of it. I no longer have room for it. I have no place to store it over the winter. A simple. Stream line top surface flows down to sturdy sides. It has a w arm. Rich patina and finish which flows throughout this piece. The stylized V-notch legs complete this piece. This bench would look amazing mixed with extremely contemporary decor and so many others. It measures 17 1/8" tall. 59 7/8" wide; and 11 7/8" deep. It is sturdy and in good condition. RARE ANTIQUE 19THC BOARDED PINE MILKING STOOL 35.8CM WIDE X 18.7CM HIGH X 19.4CM DEEP A rare solid pine antique milking stool constructed of pine boards screwed and nailed together. All the original screws and nails remain and have rusted into the surrounding wood. a good indication of age. It is in really good condition considering it's age and use. It even had old splashes of milk on it which I polished off with a bit of beeswax.There are still a few traces underneath to the side of one of the side planks. This is a fabulous antique Johan Carl pine bench that I've enjoyed for the past 30 years. Now I'm moving cross country and everything must go(see my other antique and collectibles auctions) By day this bench would be used for seating. At night. They would take off the seat slab and pull out the bottom which transformed into a bed by stuffing it with hay. As a bench, it measures 78" wide x 20" deep x 31" tall. These piece has been repaired. A 19th century Windsor spindle back deep seat pine bench measuring approximately 32" tall. 58.75" wide, and about 22.25" deep. It is sturdy and structurally sound, though there is wear and tear to the surface- it has also been stripped and refinished. It looks like someone put some wood filler in some of the knot holes, or it could be residue from old paint(we're not certain) The seat itself is one board. Primitive pine plantation bench. Circa 1800s. Southern origins. Measures 63" from armrest to armrest. Seat is 14.5" wide and 19" from floor to seat. Total of 35.5" tall to top of backrest. Hand planed and hand hewn, pegged with dowels, no nails used that I can see. Has 4 turned legs with 16 spindles on back rest and sides; side spindles are carved in center and hand rests have 4 incised lines. Plank back. Very sturdy piece given its age, but the left front arm rest is a bit wobbly. All in all a beautiful period piece. Asking $735.
