Each measures nearly 32" long and each end braket measures 11 1/4" vertically. There are pine inserts which slide into place at the bottom of the holders. This listing is for the pictured beautiful ornate 52 inch wide antique oak church pew. It has a feature that is extremely rare.ornate applied carvings on both the outside of the end panels as well as on the inside of the panels(near the top on the inside) In 12 or more years of buying and selling 400 or more antique church pews. I have never had any with applied carvings on the inside of the end panels. The pew has been shortened from its original length and is just as it was used in the church; I have gone over it with Old English to cover over scratches from the nearly 100 years of usage. It is completely authentic and is an attractive looking piece that would look great in your family room. Entry way, on your porch or patio, in a sun room, in an office or reception area, or just about anywhere seating you would like to place them. The ... morepew is 52 inches wide at the rear of the pew. You can see that both end panels taper in slightly. Making the front of the pew slightly narrower than the back of the pew. The end panels are 38 1/2" high. When placed against the wall. The pew will extend out into the room 24" Seat height is 15 1/2" from the floor and seat depth is 15" There is a slight curvature to the benches that you can see in the pictures. There is a very nice 32 inch wide hymnal rack attached to the back side of the pew. There is also a copper visitor card or small envelope holder on the back; this is probably not original to the pew but was added at some time by the church in Williamsport. The pew has some scuffs and rubs in the finish from well over 100 years of service in the church but it is very sturdy and in nice cosmetic condition. The pew was originally much longer with a middle support piece in place.perhaps 20 feet long or more. It was used in a church building that is 120 years old and the floor had an incline in it as was often the case in churches this old. As a result. 1893 Church Pew 122" Long Bench More Available Almost 120 years old! Search What I have to offer here is a very old church pew. This church was built in 1892 and all of the contents are original. The board of directors of the church and cemetery are selling 4 of these church pews to raise money to save the church building. This auction is for a 122" long pew. It is the longer pew. Shown in the pictures that I have available. The pew measures 122" by 30" tall and is 14" in depth. We are selling 4 of the large pews(shown in the picture better) This auction is for one pew. But we would be willing to sell more on a first come first serve basis. They were used from the time the church was built in 1893 until about 1965 when the last congregation had church in the building. The pews aren't perfect. There are scraps ... moreand scars from use. They haven't been varnished for probably 50 years. They are very solid, and made of good wood material. They are rather plain. No ornate features on them. For more information about the church. 1 beautiful pew hand carved oak with very ornate detail. These come from Grace United Church of Christ in Covington KY prior to 1920 the church was call the German Reformed Church. The church was built in 1862 and these are the original pews. They are in mint condition and have very detailed carvings. Are slightly curved and 15 ft long each. Antique 1898-1902 London Church Pew, solid wood, 106"
This church pew originated from the United Reform Church in the Muswell Hill suburb of North London. The church was designed by Scottish architects George& R.P. Baines and built from 1898 to 1902 with late Gothic and Art Nouveau features. The pew was salvaged from the deconsecrated church in the late 1980’s by a contractor who sold it to a friend. The pew's previous owner, who provided the pew’s history. That church was eventually turned into a pub which still occupies the old building today. They brought it with them when they moved to the USA in 1997. We bought it from them in 2005. It is in very good condition. Neither we nor the previous owner ever tried to refinish it other then rubbing it with danish oil to keep the wood from drying out. It has some signs of age and use as you can see from the pictures. Regretfully. I am listing my antique church pew. It came from a church in Springfield Ohio. The pew dates to the late 1800s. It is made of oak with an antique pine seat. It measures 5'6" long. It is 23 inches deep. The angle on the back is approximately 6 inches. It still has the Bible and communion inserts in the back. It is 42 inches tall. I added stained 2 x 4 bases at the bottom. The actual pew was mounted to the floor of the church. It does show some wear from where the church pews were removed at the bottom. It was a little short without the original base. That is why I added the 2 x 4 to the bottom. It is beautiful and I hate to get rid of it. I no longer have room for it. I have no place to store it over the winter. I am unsure of the exact age of the bench. But the hardware on it appears to be quite old. These benches look great in kitchens. Dining rooms on the patio, anywhere really. For your consideration is this beautiful antique oak church pew. I bought this and several others at a church auction last summer where the church was being closed down. This pew has a very nice finish on it. The pew has a slight curvature to it but will sit straight back against a wall. The pew measures 60.5" long X 36" high. The seat height is 16" off the floor and the seat is 15" deep. The ends both have a nice raised panel gothic pattern. I am willing to ship this anywhere in the country through Greyhound for a flat fee of $225. I am also offering to most of the Midwest shipment with a blanket shipper which will deliver to your door for $250. You might have to wait several weeks for the blanket shipper but they are very reliable and I have had them deliver dozens of items over the years with no damage. This listing includes the ends only and not the entire pew bench. These pew ends appear to be made of oak. But could possibly be another type of solid wood such as Mahogany. Each one has a stone crucifix/cross inlaid into the side. The pieces stand 32" tall and the inlaid crosses are 9.5" tall. The inlaid crosses are made of some type of carved stone or masonry and are highly decorated with flowery designs similar to an Art Noveau style. The interior of the pew ends have large grooves cut out for attaching the bench and pew back. ANTIQUE METHODIST CHURCH PEW 1800s From Massachusetts w/ Upolstered Seat
In very good condition considering the age. Beautifully marked by the years. Perhaps some filler used to fill in cavities. Scratches. Usual wear and some wood missing on both sides towards front of pew(perhaps where it was anchored on the floor of the church) Piece is sturdy. Arms solid and beautifully curved. The number 31 is a brass fixture on left side. Piece for the most part is unfinished or primitive. This is a hard to find piece in very good condition which appears to be in its original natural finish. Pew measure 87" With it comes the upholstered custom made bench cushion.
