This classic victorian style piano stool is very pretty. And would make a great restoration project. The bottom frame is composed of cast iron. It is beautifully engraved and features three gorgeous twisted legs that add volumes to the overall style. The seat portion appears to be made of pine. It looks as if it was just the base that a padded cushion or covering was glued to. You can see some of the left over residue from this in the pictures. The cast iron portion is in great shape, with no dents, dings or bends whatsoever. The part that adjust spins up and down quite smoothly. There is light surface rust in a few places that should be very easy to remove. It is around 18" tall, and the legs are 18" apart at there widest points. This is a very nice piece! Antique 19thC C.W. Chadwick Carved Walnut Victorian Piano Stool Velvet Bench
This is a beautiful piano stool circa 1889. It is in very good condition with what looks like original sawdust stuffed cushion. The red velvet has faded however. The wooden base is carved from what I believe is walnut. There is a cast iron stool spider supporting the top marked C.W. Chadwick North Acton Massachusetts. There are nails around the bottom from perhaps a time when it was recovered but the original cushion was not replaced. There is pencil on the bottom which indicates 89 so perhaps it is dated 1889. It appears to be from that time period. Measures 17"w x 12"d x 19"h. Thank you!

Seldom seen with this style back, this walnut stool has been owned by the same family for over 40 years, appears to have not been refinished, with impressive patina and aging. The brass and glass feet are in nice condition, still roll on carpet, and the back is solid and secure. The seat is adjustable, and has been not been used for over 40 years. The seat and it's base have a few surface splits in the wood, as the picture shows, but do not go through, and the seat is also very solid and secure. The dimensions are 35 1/2 inches high, 16 1/2 inches deep, 15 1/2 inches width at the top of the back, and the seat is 14 inches round. The stool weighs 19 pounds, and local pickup can be arranged. Charless Parker PIANO STOOL Glass & Iron Claw Feet Walnut--Lovely but needs work
This auction is for an antique wooden piano stool we have had in our lives for about 20 years. It turns out this stool is in worse condition than I thought. And it needs to go to a home w/ a craftsman or woodworker. About 10 years ago it was getting a bit wobbly and I added the bungee cord to stabilize it a bit. I know? Is that hi tech of what? I thought it just needed to be re-glued(as in the areas w/ the arrows) but as you can see from the zoomed images, the lower base is also cracked and underneath, the metal has at some previous time been cracked, too. I could probably get more for just the metal and glass feet, but I don't have the heart to strong-arm this pretty little stool apart, into pieces. So I'm putting it up onto the Bay, as is, and hoping someone can discover the life still left in this lovely little piece.
