It features beautiful cast iron ends with a moon and branch like design. The cast iron ends have remnants of gold paint in some spots with a hand painted green and red triangle. This is a great stool with wonderful Patina! I just love that word"patina" you just have to use it in all your listings. I am not exactly sure what else it was used for. With the center being like it is. Must have held something vertical I would say. The legs are a little shaky but they are solid as the entire piece is. I have for auction this beautiful antique needlepoint footstool. The outstanding feature are the colors& design of the needlepoint. As you can see in the photos there are a few small worn areas along the sides. However the top of the needlepoint remains in excellent condition for a 100+ year old piece. This stool has been professionally refinished with a mahogany finish. The cast iron has been polished and left plain. Each claw foot holds an old glass ball with air bubbles. The glass is ground flat for a level surface. The cast iron is in great shape and the stool is very sturdy. This could be considered Ball and Stick styling with all of the wood turning done. Measures 14" wide x 20" tall in a normal height. It extends up to 25" and is still sturdy and lowers to about 18" at its lowest. Interesting to note: Charles Parker is a very famous antique oil lamp manufacturing company. Their lamps are widely collected. WOODENDECOR10 Presents A Victorian Era GOUT Footstool This item ships FREE FedEx Ground in the Continental U.S. This is an authentic Victorian Era GOUT footstool from the mid 1800's to the beginning of the 1900's. Its rare design was purposed for gentlemen with means as a way to relieve the pain of gout by lifting the foot at the ankle while not touching the foot. It is made of solid wood(I believe it to be walnut) With two handles on either end for easy positioning so as not to touch the foot, four carved wooden legs, and a straw padded tapestry or rug covered body. Here, this rust toned rug is edged with ornate trim and round tacks. I can not say whether it is the original rug or not though it certainly coincides with the time period. There is relatively minor wear on this piece for its age with some varnish wear, what looks like ... morelathe holes in the ends of the handles, some wear on the bottoms of the legs, and a superficial crack in the base that is not deep nor does it compromise the structure or stability of the footstool. Its as sturdy as ready to use today as it was over a hundred years ago. The rug is still in good shape, all tacks are present, and trim is in great condition. The footstool is a great historical piece for the collector with an interesting medical background. Similar pieces have sold for up to $250.00 in the past few months. The width of the board ranges between 17-18 inches and the table is just about 3 feet tall-33 inches exactly. Nice cut marks throughout the whole top and perfect legs-no rotting. All original! Decent Mid 1800's Antique Empire Style Foot Stool
I picked this up some time ago because it is in decent condition has great age and a good look and I believe it to be Empire style. The material is not bad and the black spot is a little hole with black thread that would be very easy to color. I did not want to try to hide it and this would be very easy to reupholster to whatever material matches room best if desired. It is nice and firm and sit straight with no wobble and very sturdy. it measure 14" x 10" x 7 1/2" tall. Thanks for looking and your interest.

Antique Shoe Shine Chair in Great Condition from Late 1800's NR Wonderful Value
A wonderful piece of history that has been in our family since it was new. That's a long time. We are in the process of downsizing. So we are selling off the items we know we really don't need(but would have loved to keep) This is an 1800's shoe shine chair. I am unsure of its production origins. But I know it has been in the Baltimore area for about 100 years. It needs almost no work done to it at all. The wood parts still look good and the black iron doesn't even need to be painted. Early Red Paint 1800's Antique Rustic Wooden Primitive Old Farm Step Stool Bench
Offering today a terrific Primitive Step Stool we found at a local farm estate. This great step stool does not have any nails. It is all Mortise& Tenon construction. Still solid but I would not recommend using it as a daily step. This more of a primitive decor item or it would make a perfect child's bench. Measures 12" x 7-1/2" and 9" tall. This piece has true character with age appropriate wear and much of the old red paint still intact. There is a tight crack in the top board which looks like it may have been glued to protect it from separating many many years ago. very rare prudent mallard piano stool. Made in the mid 1800's. an antique expert attributed this piece to mallard. it appears the actual craftsman has incised his name into the bottom of the seat frame. at any rate, it has a great look to it, wonderful form and is solid rosewood. it has a solid pedestal that has an unique form which tapers into a small receptacle for the seat screw at the top, however, the pedestal from the bottom of the base starts wide, goes in, and then flares out somewhat. neat design that i have not seen before. the four legs attach to the base of the pedestal. the seat has a very nice period looking new fabric. the stool is 18 inches across the base, 18 inches across the widest part of the seat, and 16 inches across the smaller dimension of the seat. the seat is made in a somewhat of an oval, but the corners of ... morethe seat have a definite angle to them and are not merely rounded. it stands 21 inches tall when the seat is all the way down and just at 27 inches tall when it is screwed out as far as it will go. the screw locks when it is out to it's allowable extended distance and also locks at the bottom sitting. great piece, rare form, noted maker, solid rosewood, perfect condition as far as i can tell. it may be picked up at my home or shipped at buyer's expense. good luck.

This really is an amazing old antique stool. I am guessing mid 1800's. It is rather heavy. Solid wood, possibly Mahogany or? Cast iron legs with detailed design. Adjusting seat base, but is not currently working(see pics) Threads in the base see to be reamed out a little, but could be fixed. There is a water mark where I put my coffee cup by accident(see pics) but could be restained and fixed easily. Antique Victorian Courting Bench Late 1800's From Estate in Florida Mahogany?
This is an antique courting bench from an estate in Florida circa late 1800's. There are initials in the design. One is AF, the other is JF. You have to look at the pictures carefully, I have tried to show you that the bench folds open(is rectangle shape) and folds closed(with a barrier between the two seats) There is much intricate carving with a few spots(hardly noticable) that have been repaired. The two cane seats are intact. The carving which is at the back and sides folds up and down. There are hooks on the backside that accomadate thin drapery rods, one up, one down that you can hang fabric on to obscure the view.

AAFA 1800's Primitive Milking Stool..Handmade Forged or Bench Seat Antique
Primitive.Iron& Wood Milking Stool or Bench Seat Very unusual stool.I have never seen another quite like this! Look at the handmade base on this piece. It has a solid. Rugged yet dainty base with simple turned up iron feet. It is likely the top was replaced at some point. As it is also in excellent condition! It is be a sturdy piece of rough sawn hardwood walnut. This came from a farm established in 1874 and was hanging on the wall of the deteriorating barn for who knows how long. Sadly all that is left of the barn now are the small remnants of it's working life. Measures approximately 11.5" Tall, seat is 11.5" long and 8.5" wide. Such a cute. Unique item to use as a plant stand, stool or decorative stand in your home!

I have up for auction a really unique antique foldable trolley station bench. Made in the late 18 or early 1900's. Bench is made from what I believe is oak. Piece has no real finish left but has a great patina with rust on all of the iron work. I personally like the somewhat rustic look. I was told this came from a trolley station in Worcester Ma. but I cannot authenticate the story. Really cool piece that can be sat on. My cat likes it too.
