Up for auction is this ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE SOLID OAK PIANO ADJUSTABLE STOOL! It is in very good condition for its age. It is from the 1800's after all. It is adjustable height. It has the unpolished brass claw feet. The glass balls have NO cracks and r in very good condition with bubbles. On the bottom of the glass feet are pads so they didn't get scratched or cracked. I will leave it up to the buyer to keep them on or remove them. On the underside it says TONK NEW YORK CHICAGO. There is what looks like a scratch on the main middle leg but is the way it came from the factory which is a flaw in the wood. Please look at the photos I've showed it in one of the pictures. This is an ornate antique Victorian adjustable piano/ organ/ harp stool. The stool is in great condition and appears to retain its original mahogany finish. It is made of solid wood that is stained mahogany. It has metal claw and clear glass ball feet. The glass balls are not cracked and the legs and base are ornately turned. The seat is covered with padding and red velvet. The cloth is not ripped or torn. But has some light stains. There is some light wear and scratches from use on the wood, and the legs are a little loose, but could easily be re-glued. There is a white cloth wrapped around the adjustment screw in the seat to keep it from squeaking as much when it turns. The round piece of wood under the seat has been re-glued as seen in the photos. Antique English Victorian Mahogany Vanity Bench Piano Organ Stool Window Seat
This beautiful piano bench was made in England. Most likely in the late 1800s, possibly very early 1900s. It is made of solid wood, which I believe to be mahogany. It has a beautiful rich medium tone, reddish brown in color. The wood has a beautiful grain which I have tried to capture in the photographs. Underneath the seat is a cast iron mechanism that allows the seat to be raised or lowered using the knobs on the side. The mechanism was made and patented by the Marsden company and is in perfect working order. The wood on the underside of the stool and part of the mechanism is stamped"Marsden's Patent LEEDS 542. See photos) The bench features splayed legs. With lovely turned designs. It is well made and very sturdy, suitable for daily use as a piano bench or vanity seat. The cushioned seat has been replaced and recovered in a gold ... moreand beige fabric, but could easily be switched out to match your decor. It is in good condition, no stains. The bench weighs approximately 14 pounds. And measures 19 inches tall, 21 inches wide, and 14 inches deep. When raised to its maximum height it is 22 inches tall. CONDITION: This is an antique piece. And as such it does have signs of wear. There are small nicks and dents that do not affect the structural integrity of the piece(please see photos for examples. I feel these marks, which are visible only on close inspection, serve to further illustrate the true antique nature of the bench. There are no major damaged areas and no missing pieces. I have photographed the bench from all sides and provided detailed close-ups. If you would like additional photographs of any area please let me know. PAYMENT: I accept payment through PayPal only. Up for auction is this absolutely stunning vintage antique Victorian classic 1800's claw foot swiveling seat/ piano bench/ chair/ seat/ ottoman/ footstool. Adjustable seat raises up and down adjusting for multiple users. Characteristic turned wood legs and spreaders. Brass claw feet holding onto a glass ball and all authentic. I believe this to be maple wood due to the smooth wood grain although I'm not positive. Beautiful craftsmanship and really solid. Stool measures 16 to 22 inches high and 13 inches square at the base of the legs. In great vintage condition. I believe this was made between 1870-1890 by Merrian. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN TONK CHICAGO PIANO STOOL BENCH SWIVEL SEAT TWISTED IRON LEGS
You are bidding on the pictured antique Tonk Piano Stool with Swivel Seat and Twisted Iron Legs. It is in Very Good overall condition with some signs of wear and a nice original patina. The original wood seat has been professionally repaired on the bottom and there is a small piece of iron missing on the base. See pictures. It swivels from a height of 17 1/2" up to around 21" The seat does have a little wobble to it when swiveled up and it measures 14 1/2" in diameter. The twisted iron legs are in very good condition with no damage. It is marked on the base of the seat Tonk Chicago. Please use the pictures to determine it's exact condition including any wear.
