Wooden seat is slightly concave for comfort when sitting& is in overall good condition. Shows an old repaired split on underside, still very solid(please see photos) Has a fancy cast iron center column and wire twisted legs. Metal components are in overall excellent condition, unsure if repainted at one time or another. I did not attempt to clean or tamper with it in any way. This Chas Parker Meriden CT Piano Stool is inn overall good condition. Legs are sturdy. Glass is in tight on the claw feet. Markings"The Chas Parker Co Meriden CT" on bottom of the spinning seat in tact and clearly visable. There are some signs that the spindles have been glued into their respective holes which does not surprise anyone given the age of this piece. Height is about 24 inches at it's tallest and about 19 inches when seat is wound to it's lowest. I tried to take pictures from all angles and to show this piece in it's entirety. Vintage/Antique Wood Piano Stool Glass Ball Claw Foot Adjustable Chas Parker
This is a beautiful vintage wood piano stool by Chas Parker. It has light blue glass. Ball and claw feet. Two of the glass balls are completely round and the other two have a flat spot from wear. The seat is very smooth but does have a crack where the wood separated but not loose at all. There are small scratches and dings which you would expect because of age. It adjusts up and down by turning the seat. This is a beautiful piece of furniture, just needs to be polished some. Please ask any questions. I can also show more pictures if you need them.

This is a very Nice Chas Parker CO Oak Swivel Top Adjustable Antique Glass Ball Claw Foot Piano Stool made in Meriden CT. It is a wonderful piece and in very good shape. It has been very well taken care of and is out of an Estate. The glass balls on the feet are chipped pretty badly. Still Very sturdy and a wonderful piece. Piano stool is 19 inches tall when adjusted all the way down. I have not refinished or retouched the piece. Dowel legs look on good solid condition. Not wobbly at all. Someone toes the legs with string to he it together they way they used to to reinforce and strengthen and prevent the legs from breaking. Metal claw and glass ball feet, rope turnings on the legs and stretcher. Seat adjusts from a low 19" to a height of 23" Seat diameter is 14" There are many coats of finish on the stool- so many that I am not sure what type of wood this is- the grain on the underside of the seat looks like walnut. The top section of the seat shows two narrow separations where the boards were laminated caused by wood shrinkage over the past 150 or so years, one of the crystal glass balls has a chip out. Very sturdy- very Victorian. A great side table or plant stand too. American Antique Brown Piano Stool ,claws, glass. The Chas. Parker Co. cira 1877
This auction is for an antique piano stool made by"The Charles Parker Company" of Meriden CT. I am offering this item as found. Only dusted. There are some scratches, chips and scuffs the metal claws have previously been painted a gold color, some of the paint also goes onto the glass balls. This stool is adjustable and works. Two of the claws wiggle slightly. There are screws at each of them that look like might be where you could tighten them. The top looks like it's split. But looking at it closely it appears that it was 2 pieces of wood to produce it. I don't know much about antiques so look at the pictures closely and decide for yourself.
