Cast iron stool appears to have its original dark green paint with black and gold highlights(see photos) The design of the cast iron work appears to have some Eastlake pierced open work grill design. In addition to the ornate Victorian drape effect of oak leaves and the scrollwork feet, and the flowing/swirling Art Nouveau oak leaf and vine designs. Appears to have original pine or soft wood cover top. With is covered with the original straw– the straw covered with remnants of original jute material. The jute is covered with a 1930s era cloth material. And covering this material is a worn dark forest green velvet. The wood stool top is easily recoverable if new owner should so desire. Heavy piece– weights about 16 pounds. Markings: impressed numbers“25” and“5” on underside of stool. Impressed into cast iron. Dimensions: stool measures about 17” inches diagonally(corner to opposite corner) And about 14” inches wide(x) 14” inches long(measuring at widest part of stool from outside foot to outside foot) Stands approximately 8 3/4” inches in height including wood velvet covering. Here for auction is a wonderful Victorian. Ornate, cast iron footstool with a floral needlepoint cover. The cast iron legs have wonderfully formed bird feet and the scrolls are hand painted. The needlepoint covering is hand done but does have pulls and frays and a few tiny spots of missing thread, as shown in the photos. The stool cover measures 14" long by 10" wide by 8" high. Antique Cast Iron Floral Needlepoint Petit Point Footstool Foot Stool Ottoman
I have for your consideration a Antique Cast Iron Footstool with a Needle Pointed Cover. Cast iron base is in black. There is some minor chipping to the paint and underneath there is evidence of a gold color paint. The top in upholstered in a vintage black ground needle point with oval beige center surrounded by flowers and leaves. The center of the oval beige has a bouquet of flowers done in petit point. Footstool in in very nice condition with no breaks or repairs. Needlepoint is very nicely executed. When needlepoint was placed onto the footstool. Some of the needlepoint canvas was left exposed, look at photo#8 for a closer look. It can only be seen if stool is turned upside down. Antique Victorian Foot Stool/Footstool, Cast Iron Lion Legs
Up for auction is an antique footstool with cast iron lion legs. Obviously the stool has been reupholstered over the years and is now sporting a green velvet fabric. The iron feet have also been spray painted gold. The stool measures 12-1/2 inches wide. 8-1/2 inches deep and 6-1/2 inches tall. Condition is good used and a little dusty. ANTIQUE FOLDING TRAVEL FOOTSTOOL~Cast Iron
THIS AUCTION IS FOR AN ANTIQUE COACH FOOTSTOOL. This stool is c. the 1800's when travel by coach was the common mode of transportation. The stool is covered in a gold print. Needlepoint carpet, that is largely worn away from use. Canvas backing is intact with black leather binding on the edges. There are two levels for stability. The frame is made of cast iron supports that cross over and fold flat. Overrall measurements are: 6" tall and 10" x 8" wide. It was purchased in Paradise, California in the 1980's. When was the last time you saw one of these with the trivet on top? Purchased from an estate sale years ago. My original intent was to pad the top and turn it into a footstool like the others we see so often. Footstools are common though, and this beautiful piece is much more attractive on a hearth. Late Victorian Footstool with Cast Iron Legs

It is wood with gold cast iron legs. The upholstery is old and I believe it is original. It is a worn velvet pattern. It also has its orignal horsehair stuffing. Condition is fair for age. The gold on the cast iron legs is worn. The upholstery is very worn and wrinkled. The horsehair stuffing is worn and a little flat. The gimp. That hides the upholstery nails, is lacking and should be replaced. The wood base is original and in good shape. One of the bottom legs has a small piece lacking on the bottom underside(This is unseen except from bottom view, pic#4 shows this and that is why someone added more screws) Last pic show what is should look like. The stool is only 7 1/2 inches tall and 11 inches in diameter. The cast iron legs are 5 inches tall-and the wooden base and needlepoint make up the other 2 1/2 inches. The legs have a graceful curve with a 1 1/2 inch curl at the bottom. Twelve little wooden balls adorn the bottom edge for that special victorian look. This vintage footstool has a painted wood base and ornate cast metal legs. The footstool measures approximately 14" L X 10" W X 6.50" H. The footstool originally had a needlepoint covering over padding but has been nicely repainted at some point. The wooden base is distressed with tool marks and nail holes and there is some wear to the paint of the base; the paint on the legs is in excellent condition. Manufactured identical to each other in every way except for the size! These two antique pieces are in good condition. Their age being well over 100 years! The full size foot stool features cast iron legs that were plated. To appear as brass. The woolen fabric is in good"antique" condition with signs of wear, nothing major though. The wool cover underneath is intact with someone long ago having made a few minor repairs( as in re-tacking with nails) along the underside. Truly nothing major. See photos please. Some of the writing on the bottom of the footstool has either worn off or it was never marked as clear as the tiny foot stool. What remains of the writing reads. Its identical to the full size foot stool. Same wool cloth, and style of legs. The legs are tiny sturdy tin or cast iron legs. Overall its in really good condition. Normal wear, without any holes, tears or repairs to the fabric on either the top or underside of the stool. The legs are sturdy. However one of the legs has a small wobble to it. The covering appears to have been changed a few times through the years and it looks like it should be done again but, I like the worn appearance of the current one. There are a couple of screws missing from underneath, but it appears to be otherwise complete. Antique Upholstered Footstool-Gold-Painted Cast Iron Claw Foot & Flower Legs
Offered is this vintage or antique wood and cast iron upholstered footstool. The four gold-painted cast iron feet have a flower design and end in a sort of claw foot. The nails underneath are each surrounded by a wooden"cover" The upholstery is almost certainly a replacement but the rest of the stool looks original. There is a name or company name written in chalk on the wooden underside but other than"J C" I can't read it(see photo#6) The piece looks Victorian to me but I'm not certain exactly how old it is. The top of the stool measures approx. 13" x 9" and it sits about 7" high. It is in very good condition. With a couple of minor problems. 1) It has a slight wobble because one leg is about 3/16" off the ground(maybe correctable? 2) two of the 16 nails and covers are missing from the underside; ... more3) there are some spots of green"tarnish" on the gold-painted legs, which I have not tried to clean.
