The piece has fine deep carving and is of fine quality. The piece is hand carved and well made.no springs etc. It is probably mid 19th century or earlier. There are not visible repairs. 19th Century Antique Primitive Painted Wooden Milking Stool~Perfect Patina,Cond!
1860-1890's Primitive Wooden Milking stool measures 13 1/4" ht with a 8 3/8" dia Seat. If you check out my closeup pics you can see that years of wear have concaved the center of the thick wooden seat from the milker's bottom side! However this stool has stood the test of time and is still solid. Sturdy with no damage, and a great looking worn patina! The wood looks like oak or hickory and the bottom spindles appear to be constructed with a mortise peg in the middle.

Fine French Parcel Gilt Curule X-Frame Antique Stool or Bench, Mid 19th Century
French Curule"X-Frame" Parcel Gilt Antique Stool France. Probably Mid-19th Century Item# 130006WPV17 This is a simply stunning find. A French Curule Antique Stool with Gilt and Gesso surfaces c. the middle of the 19th Century. With bold and imposing materials, every aspect of this fine stool exudes strength and a robust spirit. The stuffed upholstered seat is thick and comfortable, the fabric in very poor condition. The exposed apron is carefully molded with a beaded edge before the crossed-ribbon and tied foliage design that wraps around all four sides. Resting over crossed"X-Frame" supports, typical of the Curule form of Neo-Greco furnishings, these trumpet in a way that gives great lift to the seat and a perfect amount of space between the base and the apron to downplay the heaviness of the form. Flanking a carved stretcher ... moreare large finials that rise from the X-joint, the entire stool terminating over oversized round feet with carved rosettes. Just a treasure in every regard. The surface has years of legitimate character worn into it's skin, this an entirely original gilt over gesso surface now oxidized and dirty from decades of enjoyment. For anyone that cherishes an early surface, a gritty and grimy layer juxtaposed against incredibly fine carved embellishments, this is a piece that will certainly enhance any setting it becomes a part of. Measurements: 20 7/8" wide x 19 1/4" long x 19 1/2" high Condition Report: Upholstery is stained and dirty. Significant wear and chipping to gilt and gesso throughout. Resulting in exposed wood and a somewhat rough appeal- we find this attractive and find it adds great visual interest to the piece, but please look carefully at the images to ensure this is the look you appreciate. Two interior rosette disks missing. Underside a small curved piece of wood is missing. One foot needs a pad under it to keep feet level. Sturdy and strong. You are bidding an an antique piano stool by Geo W Archer with patent date of May 6. 1873. Plate indicates manufacture as Rochester, NY. Stool has cast iron base with lion face image at the foot and a woman's image at the bend(knee) of the leg as pictured. Stool itself is made of wood with fabric seat cover, trimmed in gold fringe. Seat is rip free and unstained and fringe is intact but could use a tack or two to be complete. Height is adjustable up and down by spinning the seat up or down. Welcome to my auction for this rare antique Victorian floral needlepoint footstool with natural genuine horn legs. The magnificent aged horn legs give it so much character! The needlepoint floral has deep red. Yellow and blue flowers. Background color is a deep plum with matching tape trim all around border and wrapped around each leg. MEASUREMENTS: Needlepoint Surface alone- 12 1/2" x 8" Horn legs that flair out- 14 1/2" w x 7" deep x 6" high CONDITION: Legs are in fine shape solid and sturdy. Needlepoint canvas does have some dirt- Tape trim is a little loose in spots. This little footstool can be easily re-upholstered and given a new life. Antique rustic primitive 19th century small wooden foot stool, mortise & tennon
Antique estate sale find. Very old(probably be 19th century) little wooden primitive farmhouse foot stool. Lots of character! Made with(I think it's called) mortise and tennon joints. Has lots of dings. Wear, some repairs, some splits- still pretty sturdy, but I would let it stay"retired" and use it as a riser/ display piece. It was made a bit off kilter, as far as the placing of the stretchers. The top is not quite level. The dark circle on the top is burned into the wood. Very nice and rustic. Check out my! Antique victoroian walnut foot/gout stool. It is carved on both sides with a raised scroll ending in a bellflower. The four feet have raised ribbing. Vtg 1870's antique 19th century wood foot stool with needlepoint flowers
It is 4"H and 12"L x 9 1/2"W. Some balding areas on the needle point. That would be expected considering it's age and intended use. The previous owner added eye hooks and wire to the back so it could be hung on a wall for display. These can be simply unscrewed to remove but it will leave 2 small holes on the back. The pad is filled with horse hair. and there is a tear on the back cover. Those are not cracks in the wood on the sides. They appear to just be a natural part of the wood and was always there. Up for sale is a beautiful Victorian. Antique, late 19th century cast iron footstool. It features a gold painted, cast iron base that has 3 decorative legs, a tapestry fabric top in peach, blue, green, and cream colors, and an antique gold fringe trim. This is a really neat piece, it is farm fresh, so I leave it up to the buyers to clean, not wishing to cause any harm due to it's 130 year age, but it could use a gentle cleaning. There is some minor wear and tear, including some chipping of the paint on the base, and one small spot on the tapestry, and the fringe is very delicate and has some wear to it, but over all this piece is in fair to good condition. Pair of American Blue Painted Antique Bootjack Benches Settee, 19th Century
PAIR OF AMERICAN BLUE PAINTED BENCHES WITH BOOTJACK ENDS Probably late 19th or early 20th Century Item# 1407JCU25P This is a delightful example of rural production. The pair probably crafted to suit the family of the craftsman, possibly of repurposed wood during the late 19th or early 20th Century. Crafted of yellow pine, they feature a thin slat crest rail rested in a key in the stile and affixed with a single screw(some added nails) from the back, the single plank seat nailed on either side and supported on a pair of triangular blocks underneath and a horizontal apron set in a key. The stiles are single planks from the crest through the bootjack ends. The paint is early, probably at least partially original with much of the surface heavily distressed and flaking in a most attractive way. A positively charming pair of benches for anyone ... morepassionate about rustic interiors and Americana- these were acquired from the same estate as our scrubbed top American Harvest Table and would accompany it quite nicely. Measurements: 59 1/8" W x 15 3/4" D x 34 3/4" H; seat is 18 7/8" H Condition Report: Painted surface is early and worn. But we cannot be certain of it's originality or even vintage. There are at least two different applications at different dates. Surface is worn with old dirt deep in the open grains of the pine. Benches are sturdy for reasonable regular use. They are probably rural craftsmanship using repurposed parts circa the late 19th or early 20th century, as evidenced by the unnecessary bore holes in a few areas(underside of crest on one, etc. Original screws with some nail supplements on crest rail, seats and apron with later nails throughout. Antique 19th Century English Victorian CH Hare Brass Swivel Piano Stool
Here is. What I believe to be, a very rare CH Hare patented brass three legged piano stool. This stool is in perfect working condition and the height adjusts as the seat is turned. It is marked on both sides of the seat frame with CH Hare Patent, and is also marked'Registered' with what appears to be a registration or patent number on the brass base. Stool shows normal signs of aging as happens with brass over time, but no significant scratches, dents, or dings in the brass stool base. I have come across several of these stools while searching online, and most have four legs. This one is a three legged stool. I am quite certain this would not be the original upholstery. The upholstery on the top is a velour/brushed velvet, and differs from the upholstery underneath which could be the original. Antique 19th Century Victorian Foot Stool Ottoman Ornate Cast Iron Base Legs
This auction with a buy it now option is for an ornate cast iron. Victorian foot stool with a cloth covered wooden top. The covering appears to have been changed a few times through the years but, I like the worn appearance of the current one. The cast iron base has been painted, but it is in good original condition otherwise with no breaks or repairs. There are a couple of screws missing from underneath, but it appears to be otherwise complete. It stands about 8" high and the top measures about 14" x 10" It weighs about 13 lbs. so keep shipping charges in mind when bidding!

This is just as it says and shows. A beautiful 19th century piece. It has small areas on the bottom 2 inches of 3 legs because it seems to have been outside a at some time or another but nothing that takes away from how solid it is. As you can see someone made a burn mark my guess is from a candle long ago because it has been sealed over and I feel that just adds character to it. A couple of natural very nice grooves in the wood on the one end accent it the piece just right. Just look at all the pics. It is a very sturdy and ingenious design. Covered in a leather panel it measures approx. 20 inches wide by 15 inches deep and adjusts from 24 inches fully extended down to 16 inches at it's lowest point. A faux drawer is found on the front and back of the stool, the original stamp remains visible on the bottom of the stool though it is worn and barely legible. The overall condition would commensurate with the age and use of the stool with wear to the leather padding with three buttons missing, a knob is missing on each end and one on the back.
