For auction is a Vintage Art Deco Style Metal Heating Vent Grate or Register. This nice old register measures 14 1/2" x 16" and still has the Damper Flap intact. While the wire twist mechanism to adjust is missing. The vent is in very good condition with just some wall paint around the back edge and paint speckling overall- should clean up very nice. vintage mission style original wall air vent grate complete
This vintage wall vent is in really good shape for its age. It is all intact with the metal air flap and original lever. The airflap opens and closes and it is 11" x 15 1/4" x 1 1/4" and has interesting arches almost like a stained glass design. I rescued this along with other different vents and fireplace inserts from our uncle's house after he passed away in Steubenville. Ohio. The house had to be demolished, and I couldn't bare to see these demolished as well. I hope you can repurpose/recycle this vent! How you see the vent is how it was in the house. Your fingers get black from holding the back and there are a few areas where paint is chipping off. I am not sure how old the house was but we have the originql mortgage deed from when grandparents bought the house in 1927 from another relative. Thank you for looking!

For your consideration is this wonderfully ornate Victorian cast iron stove heat wall vent. It is signed"IDEAL" on top and across the bottom reads" STOVER MFG. CO. FREEPORT ILL. This grate is beautifully cast with great detail. As seen on the back. View it is a three piece vent cover, however it has been welded in several small places to hold it in the open vent position and to be able to display it without the pieces coming out or the vent closing. It is made to move to close off the heat or release it. The grate still has a tiny bit of it's original black paint and great patina from age, it has a clear coat to enhance and protect it. The grate measures 15 1/2" across. I have 3 vintage wall air vents available that all came out of the same house and are identical except for one has a bit more paint on it than the other two. Each vent is 16 1/4" x 14" x 3 1/4" at the base and up to 1" at the top. I rescued these from our uncle's house before it was demolished in Steubenville. Ohio. Lg.Vintage Register Cover/Heating Grate/Vent Cover Adjustable Vent Wall Upright
Vintage metal heat vent taken out of our home during a remodeling project. Grate is painted white. Original gold/bronze finish on vent frame. Approx 15" x 12 5/8" Base is approx 2-1/4" wide. Tapering to approx 1" at the top. Fits 12" wide x 9" opening. Door works. A few grills are slightly bent but they are fairly easy to bend or hammer back in place from the backside when you are stripping off the paint. I have had good luck with spray primer and paint for restoring these vents.
