19" Antique Ornate Cast Iron Heat Register Grate Wall Vent Radiator Cover Grill
Here is an antique cast iron wall register. Heat grate, or radiator cover. It is pretty. With an ornate grid pattern of stars or crosses mixed with zig zag lines. The top surface is 19 inches by 8 3/4 inches. The bottom is 18 x 7 1/2 inches. The opening is 17 1/2 by 7 1/8 inches. So if you are covering a radiator it would need to be smaller than that size. It is in very good used condition without any cracks. This old register is covered with white pain t. Some of the paint has chipped off around the edges. The default shipping method is US PS Parcel Post. But you can change that to Priority Mail if you would like the package to arrive sooner.

Vintage Cast Iron Heat Grate/Register Cover - Perfect! 12-5/8" x 11-1/4"
Excellent condition cast iron heat vent cover. Should be for the intake on older central heat systems. This is in perfect shape. No cracks or damage. It has been refinished. With a great coat of paint. The center of the face is unpainted and covered iwth a clear coat to prevent rust. The vent works great, the pivot is tight but moves easily. It measures 12-5/8" wide by 11-1/4" tall.

Outer rim is one piece with no vent adjustment Middle rim is two pieces so it can be turned to open or shut for air flow. The middle is also two piece with open-shut vent. You are bidding on a 3 antique heat grates with louver frame attached. They measure 11 7/8" by 9 7/8" on grate face and have a 8" by 10" frame. There is old paint that needs to come off before repainting. It comes off easy if you warm it up with a torch before scraping. I removed all the screws and reinserted them so they come appart easy from the frame. If you wish to buy only the grate face I can remove them. No cracks or welds. It is made of solid cast iron and comes to you with the original cast iron surround. Please be sure to see the other antique items we have listed. FEATURES: This lovely floor heat vent grille features a swirling vine and leaf design in the center. Surrounding this design is a triple-cross design with the center cross being upside down. The surround has two borders. In-between the borders is a delicate checkerboard pattern. This is a three-piece unit where the louvered part of the grate can be removed from the face-plate. There are four slotted screws that hold the two pieces together. However, only 2 of the screws are included. By removing the face plate from the louvers, it allows for easier ... morecleaning as well as sand blasting, if you want. In it's day, this was a gorgeous accent to any floor. The louvers work fine, however the entire unit does have quite a bit of surface rust. INCLUDED: The actual floor grate and surround pictured NOT-INCLUDED: No box. Packaging or paperwork. Two of the slotted mounting screws that hold the grate face-plate to the louvers is not included. However, it does come with two original screws. The grille needs a floor opening of about 9 and 6/16 inches by 7 and 7/16 inches. The unit has no damage but has some rust and the paint is peeling. With just a little sanding and paint it will be a beautiful addition to your home.

Nice cast iron floor grille heat grate register with louvers from an old 1920's house. This wonderful antique heat duct register includes the ornate cover plate and a louver assembly underneath. The louvers are in good working order controlled by thumb-wheel-type mechanism. The top of the grille measures 14 inches long by a little over 12 inches wide. Original antique cast iron heat vent cover. It has an 8 x 10 fitting and is in excellent condition including that it retains the original hardware screws! There are remnants of old paint in a couple small spots but I believe this will remove easily. I have not attempted any clean up. The entire register is intact with no cracks anywhere and the vents still open and close with ease. They also close easily. The grates inside the register are stamped into the metal, Pat'd June 26, 1894" The front of the grate measures 11.75" x 10" the back fits an 8 x 10 opening. Please feel free to ask questions. Wall heat grate cast iron. Nice antique condition. Needs cleaned. I did use a little oil to make sure the louver opens and closed. It works fine. Overall measurements 12 3/8" x 12" x 1" deep tapering to 3/4" deep at top. Fits in a 10" x 10" opening with about a 1" clearance if the opening is slightly larger.
