Old Victorian Register made by Tuttle and Bailey. New York patent extended April 27 1872. Outside dimension 12" x 16" Louvers work as good as new. Little to no surface rust in very good condition. Has all of the original paint left. We left as found and this lets new owner do what ever they wish without going over someone else's work and they can match to needs. This register has been stored since the 1950's when it had been replaced. It was wrapped in the replacements packaging. Fits 10" x 14" opening or maybe could go in even a little larger opening. Weighs approx. 13 pounds and has no damage, scratch marks, etc. The light rust comes off with a little fine steel wool or rust remover or just spray it with Rust-Oleum or other paint.

Antique Pair 1880's Cast Iron Victorian Floor Grates Registers Louvres
Here is a matching pair of antique cast iron floor grates. The grates measures about 13 7/8" x 16 7/8" around the outside perimeter. And the inside flange measures about 11 3/4" x 14 3/4" All of the louvers are stamped with 12 X 15 and Patented August 3, 1886. They are still in great working condition, and the louvers open and close, although one of them seems to stick now and then. They show age appropriate wear and rust, and need to be cleaned and reconditioned. You can see a bit of white paint on one of them, but I have been able to just scratch that off with my fingernail. Antique Victorian Cast Iron Floor Grate Heat Register. 10"x14" This cast iron register is in very nice condition. It had been stripped. Primed, and spray painted antique gold. It was made in Cleveland by New. Idea. Floor Face, Patent Pending. There are also I.R.M. CO stamped on the under side. There are no cracks or missing parts that I am aware. There is a rough area on 1 of the honeycombs. There is a small area of rust on the under side. The spring is stretched but I do not see the purpose of it when the 2 sided latch opens and closes the 2 metal louvers. Please view these flaws in my photos. Floor opening would be 10"x14" The top measurement is 15 5/8" x 11 5/8" 1/8" surface thick. It weight is about 6.13 lbs. Please ask questions prior to buying. Photos are actual item you will receive. Antique Victorian CAST IRON FLAT Floor/Ceiling Heat Register GRATE Vent-16x11
This came out of an 1870s. 2 story house& it was being used with another grate with louvers in the room above. That other louver grate is being sold separately. The patterns of the 2 don't match exactly but from 1 room to another, it isn't noticeable. This offering is for the flat one. Which was mounted over an opening on the ceiling in a downstairs room while the louvered one, was in an opening on the floor in the bedroom directly above& they were lined up to make a unit. Before central heating became the standard. These were in all old homes, usually located next to a chimney flue to let the heat from a free standing stove rise to the upstairs. The outside dimensions are 16 inches long x 11 inches wide. On the back. There is a little ridge where it would sit into an opening, shown in 2nd to last photo. That ridge is slightly ... moreless than an inch from the edge on all 4 sides, forming an inner dimension of 14 x 9 inches. It weighs 5.5 pounds before packing. Large 29"x23"Antique Cast Iron Floor Grate Register Victorian Steam Punk Ornate
This is a large original cast iron floor grate. I would say from the Victorian era. This ornate grate weighs approximately 35#s. There are no cracks or breaks to the grate. And it seems to have the majority of it's original black paint. There is minimal surface rust showing throughout the piece. The outside measurements of the grate are 28-3/4" long, 22-3/4" wide and a whopping 5/8" thick! The inside lip measures 26-1/4" long, 20-1/4" wide. Definitely a statement piece for your home, or would make a beautiful, one of a kind table top. I will ship this free anywhere in the Lower 48 United States.
