We found this charmer at an estate sale in Western Kentucky. We put a magnifying glass on the Metal plate on side describing this as Ray Glo Radiant Heater No. 610 made by Ray-Glo Corp in Athens. OH. Patent Pending. Complies with National Safety Requirements. Approved. American Gas Assoc. Measures appx 24” tall on 4 metal feet, 21” wide, and 9” deep. VINTAGE Floor Register HEATER Heating GRATE Antique not sure if cast iron HEAVY
This is for the floor grate that you see here. Heavy steel or metal floor grate. Not sure if cast iron or not. I don't believe it to be. But the top part could be. Painted but the paint is peeling/chipping off. Surface rust. Solid. I'm guessing it to be well over 100 years old, but that is a guess. I am not sure. The knob that opens and closes it is stuck, will need to be freed up. Drops into a 12" x 7" opening. The top grate is 13.75" x 8.75" Nice look and a restoration project. They measure 6" in length along the front, 4" in length along the back. 2.5" wide across the front and 3" at the widest part. As you can see in the photos there is normal wear 7 some discoloring and there a couple have minor surface cracks but all the bricks are solid. I will pack these securely and ship quickly.
