TWO Vintage Cast Iron Heat Vent Air Register Grates Antique hardware
Up for auction are 2 antique cast iron register grates. These were both used as floor grates. One of them has ventilation control panels. The other one does not. Grate#1(with vent control panels) measures: Top side outer dimensions: 13 7/8" x 11 7/8" Bottom side dimensions that would fit into the cutout portion of the floor: 12" x 10" The vent panels currently do not open. But they do move, leading me to believe that with some minor dis-assembly and cleaning, all should work. No missing parts or cracks anywhere. Fair amount of rust. Sandblasting or wire brushing will be necessary. Grate#2(no vent panels) measures: Top side outer dimensions: 15 3/4" x 11 7/8" Bottom side dimensions that would fit into the cutout portion of the floor: 14" x 10" As can be seen in the photo. Description- This is a great lot that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian home. All of them have the same ornate raised faces. 2 are complete and working and the third is the face only. They measure 10 inches wide by 14 inches tall and are 2.5 inches thick. The insets are 8 x 11.75 inches. Overall. They are in good co ndition. There are misc. light scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning. There is light surface rust and the need some WD-40 as they are a little hard to work right now. Lot of (4) Antique 8 x 10 Cast Iron Floor Registers- Heat Vent Grates w/ Louvers
Up for sale is a lot of(4) vintage cast iron 8 x 10 floor registers/ furnace vents/ heat grates. The have a raised top which measures 11 3/4" x 9 3/4" and a louvered bottom which measures 9 3/4" x 8" They are 1 3/4" thick and are designed to fit into an 8 x 10 hole. All(4) mechanical tin louvers work smoothly on all(4) registers. These registers are old and have some surface rust on the textured borders and louvers. There is some wear to the original black paint. There are no cracks in the iron and I have done no restorations. They are very easy to clean up and repaint. Please check my feedback!

They both work good and open and close smoothly. No chips or cracks. You'll want to strip the paint off of them. I've seen these used on the floors. Walls and ceilings for either heating or air conditioning. Yes I know the designs don't match but they did come out of the same Victorian era home. I didn't clean them up at all as I figure they'll clean when you strip the paint. Vintage Antique Cast Iron Heating Grates Registers Vents Pair 16" X 14"
Up for bid is a matching set of old heating registers/grates/vents. Believe they are cast iron. Outside measurements are approx 16" by 14" Inner dimensions(part that would fit in wall/floor) are approx 14" by 12" Approx 1 1/2" deep. Both are dirty. Rusted, and worn with chipped paint present. Both have 6 flaps on the back that open and close to adjust the flow of air. The flaps currently need to be moved from the back due to the amount of rust/dirt, but front levers move with them, so should be easily fixed. LG Vintage SET Cast Iron ART DECO Heat Register Vents GRATES ~ 25" x 16" each!
Great matching set of 2 antique Art Deco cast iron heating register grates or vents. Each grate measures 25 1/4" x 16 1/4" x 1 1/4" Grates weigh approximately 17 lbs. each. So total packaged weight with the single insert will be around 40 lbs. There is only one insert, the other is missing. Insert measures approx. 7 1/2" x 5" x 3/16" The two grates do not have any cracks, breaks or repairs. The enamel which is only on the front is somewhat faded and there is minor chipping. There is light surface rust on the backs and on the front where the inserts sat. The small insert is cracked(this can be seen in the close up pics of the insert along the straight side) Each grate is marked"3F-40X" on the back and the insert is marked"F41" Note.the white spots that you see in some photos actually wiped ... moreoff. I originally thought it was white paint splatters. But it was just something chalky that was easily removed.

Vintage or Antique Lot of 2 Cast Iron Grates or Air Vent Covers
These are 2 old cast iron grates or vent covers that have old paint peeling from them and could use a cleaning. They measure 14 inches wide and 8 inches tall. Each one has 4 pieces that come off of the front of the grate for screws. We believe these were probably used years ago to cover cellar vents on the outside of some old shotgun house. Antique Pair 1880's Cast Iron Victorian Floor Grates Registers Louvres
Here is a matching pair of antique cast iron floor grates. The grates measures about 13 7/8" x 16 7/8" around the outside perimeter. And the inside flange measures about 11 3/4" x 14 3/4" All of the louvers are stamped with 12 X 15 and Patented August 3, 1886. They are still in great working condition, and the louvers open and close, although one of them seems to stick now and then. They show age appropriate wear and rust, and need to be cleaned and reconditioned. You can see a bit of white paint on one of them, but I have been able to just scratch that off with my fingernail. Here are 3(three) cast iron floor vents with what appears to be decorated with some beautiful little birds. One unit is in great condition with 3 moveable louvers. One unit has 2 moveable louvers. The last unit has 3 moveable levers but is rusty. otherwise no crack. Breaks or repairs. Measures 11-3/4" x 9-3/4" Required opening would be 8" x 10" and 2" deep. Description This is a nice set that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home. They are made of cast iron with ornate faces. Everything is working. All the louvers are intact. Each measures 9.5 inches wide by 11.5 tall. They are 2 inches deep. The insets are 8 x 10. Overall. They are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. The tops are arched. Everything is present and working. Each is 14 inches tall by 11 inches wide and 2 inches deep. Overall. They are in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning but will clean up nicely. They need some WD-40. One has 2 louvers that came out. Set of 2 Ceiling/Floor, Cast Iron 11 1/4' Flue Collar Grates for 8' Stove Pipe
Set of 2 Cast Iron Collar Grates for an 8 inch Flue Pipe Actual Center Hole 8 1/4 inches. Outside Diameter 11 3/4" This is a set of two grates that went around a metal flue pipe that ran through the ceiling. To the upstairs. One was on the ceiling downstairs, and the other was on the floor upstairs. This not only allowed heat from the stove up to the bedrooms, but also made a gap between the hot flue pipe and the hole in the ceiling. The bottom ceiling grate has 2 closed clips, and the grate for the upstairs floor has open clips. Hanging wire was run through the clips on the downstairs ceiling grate, and slipped onto the open clips on the upstairs grates. The 8" flue pipe from the stove, was than run through the center of the bottom and top grates. These grates have surface rust and need painted. 2 Wonderful Hard to find Matching Extra Large Fancy Antique Circular Cast Iron floor grates register clean and in good working order! These are beautiful Victorian-era circular cast iron floor grate. Or register. The ornate cover plate measures about 19 3/4" inches in diameter this unit sits into a outter ring for a overall diam of 24 1/2 inches in diameter, and the register is about 3 inches deep overall. They come in complete working condition, with the louvers opening and closing freely by pushing the thumb piece back and forth. They look as if they may have been reinforced They seem solid Please look closely at the photos they are as seen in the photos.
