Lot of (4) Antique 8 x 10 Cast Iron Floor Registers- Heat Vent Grates w/ Louvers
Up for sale is a lot of(4) vintage cast iron 8 x 10 floor registers/ furnace vents/ heat grates. The have a raised top which measures 11 3/4" x 9 3/4" and a louvered bottom which measures 9 3/4" x 8" They are 1 3/4" thick and are designed to fit into an 8 x 10 hole. All(4) mechanical tin louvers work smoothly on all(4) registers. These registers are old and have some surface rust on the textured borders and louvers. There is some wear to the original black paint. There are no cracks in the iron and I have done no restorations. They are very easy to clean up and repaint. Please check my feedback!

Antique Victorian Era Architectural Floor Wall Heating Grate Vent 11 7/8"x14"
Up for auction is a wonderful Victorian Era floor or wall cast iron vent or grate recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition and measures approximately 11 7/8" x 14" in size. The vent fits into an opening 10x12" the top overlaps& is a total of the measurement in the title- There are four screw holes in each corner. It is made of metal and does attract a magnet. The top side is painted, the bottom retains what appears to be its original finish. Primary color is beige. It appears that this color has been there for a while, but may not be the original paint. There is some losses to the paint on one side and a few minor rust spots. A screw is bent and stuck in one corner so wire is used on another side to keep it all together. The adjusting wheel is frozen stuck as well. ... moreIt could benefit from a good cleaning as too. It can be still used as a vent in a renovation project or as a very ornate decorative accessory. Here is an antique floor register or vent. This is a decorative cast iron piece with louvers on the back that open and close when you move the slider at the center. The top of this register is 8 1/4 inches in diameter. The back is tapered. With the bottom measuring 6 3/4 inches. I think it will need a 7 1/2 inch opening in the floor. This register has remnants of the original black japanned finish. Where the finish is missing there is light rust. The slider works. Top measures approx 13 7/8" by 10 7/8" Inner dimensions(part that goes into wall or floor) is approx 11 7/8" by 8 7/8" The 4 flaps on the back need to be pushed open and closed due to rust/age, but the lever on the front moves with them, so should be an easy fix. 3 of the screws are missing in the corners.
