Up for grabs are two ornate-design. Cast iron floor grates by Tuttle& Bailey Manufacturing, patented December 22, 1885 to August 3, 1886. It will fit your 8x12 cutout, and measures almost 9 3/4 x 13 1/2 at the frame and 2 inches deep. These are heavy, weighing almost 10 pounds. The shutters work well. The grates have an orange-brown paint on them that is chipping/wearing away. There is also surface rust on the edge of the frame. Overall each grate is in excellent condition. Antique 1885 Cast Iron Tuttle & Bailey Mfg. Co. Louvered Heating Grate-Primered
Up for bid is this scrolled cast iron heating grate manufactured by Tuttle& Bailey Mfg. Co. NY dated Dec. 22. 1885- Aug. 3, 1886. The grate has been completely reconditioned using an electrolysis method that removes all rust deposits and dirt without the use of sand or bead blasting that can cause pitting. The brass lever is intact and moves the louvers' easily for opening and closing. The heating grate has been painted with high heat resistance primer and ready to be installed or can be painted in a different color. Complete with original screws. Wall Insert measures 8" by 12" with a 1.75" depth. Cover plate measures 13.75" by 9.75" Weight 9.5 Lbs.

Old Victorian Register made by Tuttle and Bailey. New York patent extended April 27 1872. Outside dimension 12" x 16" Louvers work as good as new. Little to no surface rust in very good condition. Has all of the original paint left. We left as found and this lets new owner do what ever they wish without going over someone else's work and they can match to needs. This register has been stored since the 1950's when it had been replaced. It was wrapped in the replacements packaging. Fits 10" x 14" opening or maybe could go in even a little larger opening. Weighs approx. 13 pounds and has no damage, scratch marks, etc. The light rust comes off with a little fine steel wool or rust remover or just spray it with Rust-Oleum or other paint.

Lot of TWO antique heat vent grates. Made of cast iron. Each is nice shape, completely functional, no damage, louvers work. Each only has surficial rust/discoloration in spots, and both can be easily cleaned up and painted to look good as new. One is marked TUTTLE& BAILEY MFG. Co. New York, Patented Sept 7, 1875. It can fit into a hole 9.75" diameter and has a collar of 11.5" diameter. It is 2.75" thick. The other is marked only with a number 10 on the underside of each louver. It can fit into a hole 9.5" diameter and has a collar of 11.25" diameter. It is 2.5" thick. The grate is approx. 9 3/4" x 11 3/4" on the outside and will fit into a 8" x 10 inch opening. There is one piece of cast iron on the face that has broke off over the years. 3 Matching Antique Cast Iron Floor Wall Heat Grates, 1 w/Frame Tuttle Bailey
2 are in good condition with some surface rust. On one. The original lever has been replaced by a screw. The third grate is heavily rusted and the lever is missing, and the mechanism is broken. 2 of the louvres on the rusted one can be moved by hand, the third is broken and will not stay in position. The frame is 18-1/4" x 15-1/8" The face of the grates are 13-11/16" x 10-3/4" They require a 12" x 9" hole. Patented 1886.
