This grate is 12" X 10" across decorative cast iron face. It is currently 2 1/2" deep from CI front to back of tin; the tin and galvanized strip will come right off if buyer would like me to remove it for thinner package(it would then be just over an inch thick) It was applied to adapt grate. And I can easily cut off with tin snips if wanted. The lever to open and close trap is a bit sticky from paint, but works and will loosen up; it is highlighted in photograph#2.

There is a flower design in the center surrounded by scrollwork. It is marked on the back edges: 8 X 10 and 8 X 10.20. The heat register grate has black paint and is in excellent condition. VINTAGE ANTIQUE ROUND CAST IRON ORNATE FLOOR WALL CEILING REGISTER GRATE GRILLE
You are bidding on 1(one) VINTAGE ANTIQUE DECORITIVE ORNATE ROUND CAST IRON FLOOR. WALL OR CEILING REGISTER GRATE GRILLE. This is just how I acquired it. I do not know how old this is so I’ll let you be the judge. The outside face is 9 3/16” in diameter and the inside lip diameter is approximately 7 15/16” and 3/16” deep. The overall thickness is approximately 3/8” It doesn’t appear to be marked. It does have two 3/16”countersunk mounting holes. There is surface rust throughout but appears to have no cracks or chips. It weighs approximately 2 pounds. Overall it is in excellent solid condition. I’ll leave the cleaning and restoration to the professionals. If you like the rust look then you will love this. This may be the one you have been looking for to start or complete that restoration project.
