Antique Cast Iron Floor Register with working Louvers up for bidding. Stamped"8X10" on all the louvers as well as the back edge- See photos. Great Geometric design on the face. The back edges measure 7.5 inches X 9.5 inches but the sides are angled so that just behind the face it measures 8 inches X 10 inches- see photos. The face measures 9.5 inches X 11 and 3/8ths inches. Note that one corner was cut away and flattened- possibly to fit next to a wall. The depth is 2 inches. Great Antique Piece! Payment within 3 days of sale. Returns accepted within 14 days.

Beautiful antique small wrought iron grate Measures 9-3/4" x 13-1/2" See cut-out on left measures 3/4" x 2" In nice condition. Painted but NOT layer over layer of paint. Appears as though faint rust may be trying to break through the surface. I grade this as EXCELLENT for an antique piece. There are no holes for screws. This may be used for heat vents. This is a lot of 2 matching antique metal heating vent covers. They open and close as they should and have a beautiful decorative pattern. One measures approximately 14" wide and 11 3/4" tall. And the other measures approximately 11 1/2" wide by 11 3/4" tall. They do have significant surface rust though I would imagine much of that could be cleaned if desired. Antique Victorian Era Architectural Floor Wall Heating Grate Vent 11 7/8"x14"
Up for auction is a wonderful Victorian Era floor or wall cast iron vent or grate recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is found in good used condition and measures approximately 11 7/8" x 14" in size. The vent fits into an opening 10x12" the top overlaps& is a total of the measurement in the title- There are four screw holes in each corner. It is made of metal and does attract a magnet. The top side is painted, the bottom retains what appears to be its original finish. Primary color is beige. It appears that this color has been there for a while, but may not be the original paint. There is some losses to the paint on one side and a few minor rust spots. A screw is bent and stuck in one corner so wire is used on another side to keep it all together. vintage heating floor grate vent w/ movable louvers original
This vintage floor grate has movable louvers/slats. But the latch is stuck(I believe with paint) and the louvers can be movedback and forth by hand. The vent is 14" x 11" on the top but the opening is smaller on the back which is 12" x 9" It is about 2" high. All pieces are original including the chipping paint and areas of rust! This vent was rescued with other architectural pieces from our uncle's house in Steubenville, Ohio before the house was demolished. We have the original mortgage deed from grandparents who purchased the house from another relative in 1927. I hope someone can repurpose/recycle this vent! Thank you.

Bidding on this very nice ornate antique cast iron floor grate with louvers. The devil is in the detail. See photo 2. Most of what appeared to be gold leaf is gone as the previous idiot painted it over several times. so not much of any left. The matching smaller one i am keeping for my home has most of it on) The louvers need repair. See the last 2 photos measures 13 1/2 by 10 1/4 outside metal grate the louvers are 12 x 8 i leave it up to you if you rather i not ship them. it will not effect the price. But might ship cheaper about half.

Offering a Large Antique 1886 Victorian Cast Iron Louvered Heating Floor Grate with Original Frame Included. The 3 louvers open and close with ease. The frame measures 21 1/2 inches long by 18 1/2 inches wide. The frame is 2 1/4 inches thick around floor grate. Floor grate measures 17 inches by 13 7/8 inches. The part that slips into floor measures 12 inches by 15 inches as stated on underside. This floor grate and frame are in very good condition. Nice Victorian design. The size is marked 10 by 12 and that is the inside box size the outside is 12 by 14" Nice shape for age. Some paint loss but the louvers move easily.
