For sale is a cast iron two piece vintage stove pipe vent. The grate measures 151/2" outside diameter and has a 61/8" pipe opening. The grate has a black coating on one side and brown color on the other. A sand blasting and re-color to your liking is up to the new owner. The grate was made by the Stover Mfg. Vintage Cast Iron Ceiling Plate Vent Stove Pipe Register PRIMITIVE RUSTIC
This Cast Iron Ceiling Plate Cover Grate came from the house I grew up in. Rustic and Primitive. It is not without character. The house was built in the late 1800's so this would date from that up to 1926-no later. We had a very old stove in our living room area and this was fastened on the ceiling with the pipe going through the center. It has multiple coats of paint and is rusty underneath but the structure of the piece is intact. It is about 15 3/4 inches wide. I didn't remove the paint as some people prefer the"natural" look and others would strip this down and remove as much rust as possible and perhaps paint it, etc. The paint definitely chips easily. It does have a beautiful design including a twisted roped outer area and the inner area. It's been stored in a machine shed in Iowa and not exposed to rain. Etc. ... morehowever humidity probably plays a role in the rust. It weighs 8 pounds as is without a box or packing material. Thanks so much for looking and have a Blessed Day!

Offering this antique cast iron metal chimney stove pipe heating grate pipe cover. It may be adaptable for either wall or floor. Great primitive look with old paint. Patina, and have left untouched. The metal itself looks in good condition with no cracks. Hairlines or breaks when examined. The outer disc measures 15 3/8 inches in diameter. And inside measurement is 7 1/2 inches across. The round flowered grate measures 12 5/8 inches in diameter. And inside measurement is 7 7/8 inches across. The interior center disc measures 7 3/4 inches in diameter. There are raised letter/numbers on the metal- X 105 is on the center disc. On outer disc is X 102, and flowered grate is X 137 6. There is no manufacture name that we can see. Could be used for the purpose it was intended(great for authentic look when restoring an old house or cabin) Or. CAST IRON HEATING GRATE(S) OR STOVE PIPE VENT. I BELIEVE THEY ARE MEANT TO BE USED TOGETHER. SO YOU CAN THEN OPEN OR CLOSE THE VENTS BY ROTATING THE TOP PIECE. 14 3/4" OD 6 1/4" ID. VERY FUNCTIONAL, I DON'T KNOW IF THEY'RE COMPLETE OR MISSING ANYTHING. THEY'RE IN GREAT SHAPE, NO CRACKS, JUST VERY MINOR RUST AND SURFACE BLEMISHES. USE THEM, OR THEY WOULD ALSO MAKE NICE PICTURE FRAMES.

THIS IS AN 1800's ANTIQUE CAST IRON DECORATIVE TRIM RING COLLAR FOR 6" STOVE OR FURNACE PIPE. MEASURES 15½" DIAMETER OUTSIDE AND 6 1/4" INSIDE. IT HAS A FLANGE TO FIT INSIDE A 13½" DIAMETER HOLE AND TWO HOLES FOR SCREWS. THESE WERE USED ON WALLS. FLOORS AND CEILINGS FOR CHIMNEY AND HEAT DUCT PIPING TO ALLOW AIRFLOW AND KEEP THE HEAT FROM FLAMABLE MATERIALS. IT HAS BEEN PAINTED WHITE AND HAS A NICE OLD LOOKING PATINA. MAKES A NEAT PICTURE FRAME OR WHATEVER. THIS IS A REAL NICE PIECE OF COUNTRY FARM HOME HISTORY. FEEL FREE TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE. THIS WILL MAKE A NICE ADDITION TO YOUR COUNTRY COLLECTION.
