For auction is a Vintage Art Deco Style Metal Heating Vent Grate or Register. This nice old register measures 14 1/2" x 16" and still has the Damper Flap intact. While the wire twist mechanism to adjust is missing. The vent is in very good condition with just some wall paint around the back edge and paint speckling overall- should clean up very nice. Vintage antique wall mount heat register
Original and decorative! This is one of two matching antique heat registers I have listed. I removed them from my 1940 house in San Francisco during a kitchen remodel that required losing part of a wall. Width = 13.5 inches approx. Height = 12 inches approx. This register goes over the hole. So you have some leeway fitting a smaller hole. Register operates nicely. Needs paint removed. You could do this with boiling water(a little vinegar or baking soda) and a brush- that's how I did all my door hardware! Email with questions. This auction is for a pair of matching vintage metal wall heat register grates. These grates have a fantastic gothic design and are made of a heavy metal but not cast iron. They each measure 12 1/4" wide x 11 1/2" high x 2 3/8" deep at the bottom and 1 1/2" deep at the top. They both have a thumb style lever for adjusting the heat vent. They are in very good condition with no dents or other damage to the grates themselves and they still have the original mounting screws. They originally had a bronze or copper colored finish which you can still see but they have been painted at some point and for the most part the paint has been removed. I have 3 vintage wall air vents available that all came out of the same house and are identical except for one has a bit more paint on it than the other two. Each vent is 16 1/4" x 14" x 3 1/4" at the base and up to 1" at the top. I rescued these from our uncle's house before it was demolished in Steubenville. Ohio. I have the original mortgage deed to the house from when grandparents bought the house in 1929 from another relative. Each vent is priced individually, or you can purchase all three and I will combine the shipping. These vents are all original and the air flap opens and closes and the levers all work. They do have rusty areas and areas that the paint is chipping off. I do hope someone can recycle/repurpose these interesting vents! Thank you!

This is an old wall register grate heat vent. The name of the Art Deco pattern escapes me. Single lever flap door. Lever works just fine. Outside measurements of 12 x 14 1/4" Top has a depth of 1" while the bottom increases in depth to 2" The painted finish is dried and gradually chipping off so you shouldn't have any problems removing the balance. 2 VINTAGE Spring Loaded Pull Chain 13.5x7.5" WALL REGISTER HEAT FLOOR AIR VENTS
Mid century adjustable vents. Since they have a chain on them I asume they are for a wall or ceiling. But I realize that you could use them on the floor if they were always open or you took off the chain pull end. They are spring loaded with good spring strength. Flaps open up all the way to a 90 degree position. Nice deco gold color. One of the flaps inside looks dirty but is is paint loss. Measures 13 1/4" by 7 1/2" outside and fits 6" by 12" hole.

Has a lovely side handle to open louvers(only half of the louvers work with the handle) Very old. Beautiful cast iron Victorian design that has no cracks. No breaks.

Vintage metal heat vent taken out of our home during a remodeling project. Grate is painted white. Original gold/bronze finish on vent frame. Approx 15" x 12 5/8" Base is approx 2-1/4" wide. Tapering to approx 1" at the top. Fits 12" wide x 9" opening. Door works. A few grills are slightly bent but they are fairly easy to bend or hammer back in place from the backside when you are stripping off the paint. I have had good luck with spray primer and paint for restoring these vents.
