Antique Vintage Heavy Old Home Furnace Floor Vent Grate
Antique home floor furnace vent/ grate. In relatively good shape. Considering the age! Some surface rusting here and there, but no rust holes, no bent corners or other problem areas. The hole in the floor must be at least 12" x 9" And no larger than 14 3/8" x 11 5/16" The 12" x 9" dimensions represent the drop-in dimensions. the dimensions of the portion of the grate that will drop down inside the floor, whereas the 14 3/8" x 11 5/16" represent the overall dimensions, as looking down on the grate from above. Has seven horizontal fins on the underside which open and close normally by means of flipping the adjustment knob on top to one side or the other. Quite heavy. Durable, and built like a tank. quite a contrast to the cheap ones made today and found at any home improvement store.

For sale is a really nice antique vintage floor grate. Cast iron with a beautiful crosshatch design on the front which to me looks arts and crafts style. There are no mounting holes.The size is 13" by 15" tall and the size is 14 by 12" if using as a floor grate.There is about a 1/4" lip on the inside. This is a nice piece for use or display or in the garden. I use these on my fence to hold up vines. They weather beautifully with a nice rusty finish. Antique Large Cast Iron 20 x 26 Floor Register Cold Air Heat Furnace Grate Listed is a antique detailed large cast iron heat or cold air return register grate. Outside dimensions are 20" x 26" and will fit into a 18" x 24" inch opening. Has slight surface rust. Some paint chipping. Will need to be cleaned.
