Condition: Used Location: Pueblo, United States I am the 2nd owner of this nice vintage dining room set-I bought it from the estate of a lady that purchased it new in 1929. Original tags still attached-reads-made ... moreby Bernhardt Furniture Co. Lenoir, North Carolina-the underside of the table is also stamped: Oval Table-Cherry-29-etc. Made of Cherry wood-medium, chestnut brown stain allows for much of the grain in the wood to show. Set consisted of table with removable center piece-5 regular chairs and one captain's chair with arms-hutch and buffet. I bought these 20 years ago and now am getting different furniture. I had the seats professionally reupholstered long ago to match my decor(olive green/goldish print)I have always kept seat pads on the chairs when in use-so the seats are in great condition. Table measures 58" x 40" x 30 1/2" tall-with an additional center piece that measures 12" wide. The Hutch is 47" x 15" x 70" tall. The Buffet is 57" x 17 1/2" x 30 1/3" tall. Overall very nice condition-normal wear for being 84 years old. Some things I would mention are that the wood color of the center piece section is darker than the rest of the table, it was like that when I bought it-possible meant for contrast or maybe because it was stored out of the light)also a slice of the corner wood has broken off as can be seen the the picture-back rt corner of section. Also-a bit of wood had chipped off the top corner of the table leg(tiny but I mention it to be exact-not seen from the top) The legs screw off with attachment bolts to remove them for storage. Also, one chair missing a decorative wood curve on front leg-shown in pic. Also- scratch on table top-6" and 1 1/2"shown in last pic. If I missed something-please ask. The color of the hutch in the first pic is the true color-rich and beautiful. 50's era Drexel Duncan Phyfe dining set- includes one single pedestal claw foot table(5' long plus three 1' wide leaves) original felt pads; 6 lyre back chairs(one arm chair) buffet with sliver felt insert in top drawer and custom glass protective topper; china cabinet(44" wide by 14.5" deep) with glass shelving and plenty of storage. I purchased this set from the original owner's granddaughter and before that it had never left the house. It has been well loved. Drexel Furniture Inc Antique Dining Table and six side chairs Walnut The Drexel Furniture model# 5016 table is 64" x 42" and has a one foot center of table based extension that makes table increase to 74" This table is circa 1940's and has 6 matching side chairs which have been recovered but do have original fabric underneath. The table has two large hand carved pedestal legs that have brass footings as shown in pictures above. The table and chairs were used as part of dining room set that was over 75 years old and separately listed Brickwede Brothers china and sideboard buffet. Original manufacturers label is shown and located on top of one of pedestal base legs. The table and chairs are located in Short Hills NJ and are offered for local pickup only. Mid-Century Modern, was designed by Stewart MacDougall and Kipp Stewart. My parents are the original owners(one of the owners of Lakeside Amusement Park. Salem, VA. and bought this dining room suite in the early 60's new in Salem, Virginia. We were never allowed in the dining room so needless to say it is in pristine condition. Mom and I can never remember having dined on it! It is the original hardware, walnut with brass. Shelves and working light in China Hutch. It is in excellent condition other than a couple of minor nicks. There is a small dark mark on the china hutch but is not very visible blends in with grain. This Lyre(Harp) based 4 pedastal table comes with drop leaf style and 3 additional leaves. It includes a full set of protective table pads. It is in very strong excellent condition and has no bad areas which need repair. There are the typical light surface scratches you see with older tables but those are generally buffed out with a good cleaning. This table was my parents and the back of the 3 leaves has the Sept 12. 1951 production date on them. Back then a table of this quality was produced per the wishes of each buyer. It comes with a complete set of pads.which is why the table is so beautiful with minimal care all these years. The dimensions of this table are: 32 x 42 with leaves dropped down 64 x 42 with ... morethe leaves up 80.96 or 112 x 32 with the 3 additional 16" leaves The structural condition of this table is excellent and it needs a grand setting to bring it to full beauty.
