When Brasilia was introduced, queen beds were just coming into style. The full/double(54" was standard. This was the full/double headboard. Queen beds are 60" the same as this headboard. However, because of the way the mounting for the rails was made(inside the vertical posts) it would not fit a queen bed with the rails and footboard(which is also 54" To accommodate the queen bed, Broyhill made the headboard without the mounting blocks.
