This set is Duncan Phyfe style and has all the great characteristics of that style. This set contains 1 armchair and 5 side chairs. The chairs have traditional pierced pointed arch splats and ribbed crest rails. Stiles and lower rails. The front legs are straight with spade feet. The seat cushions have been freshly upholstered in a lovely sage green fabric. The ... moretable has a double pedestal with ribbed feet and brass caps. There is one leaf with this table. The tabletop finish is worn in places and the finish has faded to a lighter shade than the leaf. The table and chairs are very solid and sturdy and the overall condition is very good. I do not know the maker or exact date this set was made. This set is antique and will not be perfect. The table measures 30 3/8 inches tall, 40 inches side to side and 60 ¼ inches front to back without the leaf and 72 ¼ inches front to back with the leaf. It weighs 93 pounds. The leaf measures 7/8 inches thick, 40 inches side to side and 12 ¼ inches front to back. It weighs 8 pounds. The armchair measures 35 ¼ inches tall, 23 3/16 inches side to side and 23 ¼ inches front to back. It weighs 13 pounds. Antique Mahogony Duncan Phyfe Dining Table, Chairs China Hutch
This dining room set was my grandmothers. She purchased it in the mid 1940's before I was born. The furniture has been in storage since she passed away in 2004. My taste in furniture is more rustic so I have no use for this furniture and I'm sure she would want me to find someone who would love it as much as she did. The furniture was refinished in 2008 but due to being moved it has sustained a few scratched and nicks. Nothing that cannot easily be repaired. The table is 38" x 72" with the leaf. The leaf is 16" There are some small scratches and a nick on the chairs. The rose fabric was put on over the original green and beige striped fabric. The seat cushion fabric is easily and inexpensively changed. The china hutch is 38" wide and 69" tall it has a small bit of damage to the lower edge. Duncan Phyfe style. Double-pedestal, brass claw-footed, dining table with 2 self-storing leaves and 6 upholstered chairs. This set was most likely from the 1940's to 1950's. It was re-upholstered in the 1990's. A marking on the leaves indicates the wood is maple. There is some Tiger Oak on one of the chairs. The table is heavy and sturdy due to the self-storage mechanism for the leaves. It easily seats 4-6 without the leaves. And 6-8 with the leaves. One chair is a captain style with arms and the other 5 are armless. Upholstered in a floral. Leafy pattern in muted colors of green, blue, mauve. Table height is 30" and width is 42" Length without leaves is 62" and with both leaves is 94" Each leaf is 16" wide. Please see photos for details on the pedestal brass claw feet. RARE Duncan Phyfe Triple Pedestal Dining Table and 6 Chairs
Beautiful Duncan Phyfe dining set that has been in my family for years. The triple pedestal table is rare- they are usually single or double pedestal. The table has four leaves and extends to 86" long. It is 40" wide and has lovely notched. Decorative corners(see photos) There are two armchairs and four side chairs, all uphostered in a sage/ivory silk. The set is in very nice condition and will be an elegant addition to your traditional decor. My father has moved to an assisted living facility and the table and chairs will not fit in his apartment which is why we are selling some of his things. Please see my other listings for more items.

A few scratches on one side and one on one of the drawers has a gouged area. Table and chairs are not as sturdy as the other 2 pieces but dont need work for usage now. I have had and used for 20 yrs. Apartment livin now and no room. As you see. The hutch can be used as a tv stand or dresser. Is deep. All nicely finished. A few dog scratches in the dining hairs. This table has an inlay. There are four chairs. Upholstery is in great condition. Table has 3 leaves and opens to 100" Closed it is 64" We have custom made table pads to go with it. We have what we believe is a Duncan Phyfe dining room set. This set includes the table. Leaf, 6 chairs, China Cabinet, and a Buffet. The previous homeowners did not have room for it when they moved and it just does not go with our decor. The table has normal wear on the legs. The top of the table was always covered by a cloth and is in good condition. The pads for the table are available, but not in very good shape because they were in storage. There are six chairs, including the captain. The fabric on the chairs is original and not all stained. The hutch has small wear on the legs also. Few marks on the top of the buffet. DUNCAN PHYFE STYLE MAHOGANY DINING ROOM TABLE WITH 5 MATCHING CHAIRS-CIRCA 1945
This fine set belonged to my maternal grandfather. The"Warfield" patent refers to the sliding mechanism which allows removal/addition of leaves. Patent date is 1937. Grampy bought the set in the Philadelphia. Pa.Camden, N.J. area where he worked. Upon his death in 1951 my mother and my Pop inherited it and Ma kept it until her death in 1988. She had all 5 chairs reupholstered a few years before her death. The table has been in my dining room since 1989. The set has had very little use as it is used for meals perhaps 5-6 times a year. Table has been covered at all times. A light application of canola oil has rendered the few surface scratches virtually invisible. Compare the 1st photo after the oil with photo# 2 taken before the oil. Dimensions- Table is 55" long with the four leaves. No 5th leaf but I do include the half-inch ... morepaddings which can be placed under a tablecloth. Two photos of the green topped pads are now posted. Some discoloration on center pad which is long dry and does not mar table surface. With two leaves down the table is 24.5" long. Width is 38" and height is 28" The four regular chairs are 36" high. legs are 16" long. The armchair is 37" high and the arms are 10" up from seat and are 15" long. The cushioned seats are 18" back to front and 23" wide at the front. One of the four chairs has a broken slat. It has been repaired once but broke again. I am not sure if another"repair" would work. Nonetheless. With armchair and 3 intact chairs, the set provides comfortable seating for four people. The photos of the leg bottoms show scratching on two chairs and minimal scratching on the other three. The curved, double clawed feet table legs are in very good condition with negligible nicks/scratches. I don't know the manufacturer but this set has been in the family since right after WW II and it has held up well. Hello. We are not sure of the years on this Duncan Phyfe. We picked up from the original owner. She took great care of it, there are protective pads for over the top. Overall, we would say it is in very good condition. However, we are not experts. The scuffs we found are the ones on the"legs"please see pictures) and a couple on the"edges" The table top itself is overall good. The chairs have a couple minor knicks here and there. You are getting the table#579 with 6 chairs. They are all matching mahgoney chairs- 5 are the same and 1 is like a captains chair. The table with the sides down is about 25& 1/2 inches With the sides up it is about 56 inches long x 30 inches wide x 29& 1/2 inches tall. Also. There are to leafs. They measure a foot each. Dining(drop-leaf) Table with four Chairs two Leaves This set is in great condition. It has a nice glossy finish. There are some numbers stamped on the bottom of the table and chairs and very old labels from the chairs being upholstered. My best guess is that it's from around 1950 or before. It could be much older or a bit newer. The table has very nice hardware that allows you to drop the leaves very nicely(I forgot to get pictures of that) It also expends nicely. It has a very nice overall appearance. whoever refinished it did not do the table justice but that is not noticeable unless you look very closely. A few runs in the polyurethane and a couple poorly sanded spots can be seen on the chairs and legs of the table. Beautiful Duncan Phyfe Dining Room Table and Chairs
This gorgeous Duncan Phyfe dining room table and 6 chairs(one captain) is a must have for entertaining! I would love to keep it but am moving abroad. It's made out of mahogany. Circa 1930s- 1940s. Dimensions: 60"L x 40"W x 29.5" H. There is a leaf that comes with it to add another foot. A few scratches on the edges of the table exist, but a protective cover, including for the leaf, has kept it in fabulous condition. The chairs were recently reupholstered, so they are in mint condition. The is a steal! This is a vintage set. Duncan Phyfe styling with the not so often seen plume and drape design on the chair backs. Nicely turned double base with brass claw foot ends. Set includes the table and 6 chairs. Which is the 5 side chairs and 1"host or hostess" chair which was the standard set type offered back in the day. Size measures: Table 42x64 and 30" high; chairs are 37" high at the back shield, 17-1/4" seat height-allow another 2"3" for when you have the foam core and fabric on, and front width of the chair is 20-3/4" plus allow another 1/2" or so for fabric as it overlaps. I did not measure the arm chair which is a touch larger; and by the way, the arms are very sturdy-original-and not wiggly. There are no leaves anymore. You will need to have the chair seats recovered again. I do have the pattern ... morefrom when the old/original was removed in order to refinish it. The lighter refinishing on the chair seat ends is because the fabric overlapped and was ended with brass studs-see the last picture of how it originally looked. I have $650 into the original purchase and $1800 for the refinishing work for a total of $2400. It's a beautiful set and you will not find a better refinishing job that is flawless and silky to the touch. The reason I am selling has nothing to do with the quality of the set. The three brass-pawed pedestals move smoothly on the rack and pinion as the table is opened to receive the 3-12" leaves making it an impressive 102" It has 3/8" thick custom table pads that work in any of the table's configurations. We are including 5 matching chairs with period upholstered seats and simple splayed legs. The mahogany buffet has simple curves in the top that are reflected in the double curved front. The drawers are dovetailed and the 2 felt lined drawers for the silverware have 3 divided sections. The original hardware has oval stamped brass back plates with brass bails. The corner cabinet compliments the set, but ... moreit was purchased later to complete the group. It has glass doors on top, with display shelves including plate grooves. The lower solid door area has two shelves. You might be able to tell from the pictures we are drastically changing the décor of our dining room and Duncan Phyfe does not go well in our new plans. This set has been in our home for nearly 30 years. The revival of this furniture style happened between the 30s and early 50s. This set has been refinished and the traditional red tone was removed giving it a warm brown finish that is quite durable and waterproof.

Early 1900's Duncan Phyfe Dropleaf Table and 2 chairs
This table and chair set was given to my mother and father as a wedding gift in 1939. At that time it was already quite old. It is in very good original condition for it's age. It is in very solid condition and has never been refinished. However it will need to be refinished. The chairs are recovered in close to original design material. I am downsizing and need to sell it. Duncan Phyfe Double Drop-Leaf table with Four Upholstered Chairs
Beautiful Duncan Phyfe drop-leaf table has two legs and is both beautiful and sturdy. Leg tips are capped in Brass protectors- typical of Duncan Phyfe tables. The table has a drop-leaf on each side with two metal locking supports. When both drop-leaves are raised the table measures 55" from end to end. Is 28" high and 36" wide. Each drop-leaf measures 27" Table has rounded edges. Four chairs complete the set. Real. Dark wood with engraved floral design at the top of the each chair back. Curved legs and a lovely upholstered seats. Due to the age of this piece, there are scratches. In excellent shape but needs a little TLC to make it exceptional. Local Pickup in Eugene. Oregon ONLY.
