Nothing serious or major to be concerned about. As pictured are the bigger cosmetic flaws on the mandolin. The mandolin plays well without any problems that I have noticed. Included with the mandolin is a thin lined case only without padding. I do not have anything else for this mandolin. Vintage 1958 Harmony Monterey Archtop Guitar - Model H1456
For auction. A vintage 1958 Harmony Monterey Model#H1456 archtop guitar- the highest end of the Harmony line. I am dating this guitar based on the headstock font and existence of an adjustable trussrod only available after 1956) Spruce top, maple sides and back. Bound front and back. Original Sunburst finish. Rosewood bound fretboard with pearloid block inlay. 25.25" scale. 12” Radius. 20 frets. Weight 4.5 lbs. 2.04 kg) Original trapeze, truss cover, tuners. This guitar has many upgrades. What is New: Refretted- meatier frets than original- sit.050" tall. Rosewood adjustable bridge with bone saddle from Stew Mac. Bottom of bridge shaped to marry arch of body. Era-Accurate Replacement Pickguard with"M" Monterey Logo. Floating Humbucker wired directly to jack. 7.6k Ohms. It is mounted with with double stick tape by its"wing" ... moreto the underside of the pickguard. Neck Binding& Side Fret Marker Dots. Bone nut- professionally slotted for depth and string gauge. Bushings for the tuners. The neck has been reset. The one time separating fretboard was professionally removed. Prepped, and re-glued to the neck. The one time curling/shrinking fretboard inlay was glued down and gaps filled in with an epoxy/rosewood filler. It was then sanded smooth with a 12" radiused sanding block. All this was prior to the refret& new binding installation. The trapeze. Truss rod cover and its screws, the guitar's finish, fretboard inlay, body binding, and tuners are original. A screw of one of the gears of a tuner is a replacement. There is a crack repair on the back of the body approximately 6 inches long that was been filled, scraped, leveled, and finished and is very stable. There was a puncture wound to the front of the body near the trapeze that was filled with clear epoxy, scraped, leveled, and buffed. Hi. What we have here is a nice example of a 1950's-1960's Harmony Monterey Archtop guitar.This guitar was built in Chicago. The guitar is in good overall condition. With small scratches and dings from normal wear.Guitar appears nice.There is a bit of slightly raised binding on the back lower bought, indicating a repair, but a good solid repair. Guitar has had a good fret dress, crown and polish.Plays correctly.Plays with medium volume, these Harmonys weren't known to be boomers. There is new strings on the guitar. Pick guard graphics are in nice original condition. Most were rubbed off, indicating that the guitar does not have much original use. There is no case.But guitar will be shipped professionally. Vintage'40s-50s Harmony Monterey Archtop Blues Guitar Neck& Body PROJECT! Fancy wood herringbone top inlay binding! Doesn't have the date code. Features place this in about the late'40s- early'50s. As you can see- the back is the issue here. There is a good deal of flex because of the thin wood& you might be able to flatten the edges enough with controlled pressure/moisture/heat. Plan B- use a donor back from another Harmony. This is a relatively common Harmony body size. This should go back together fairly well. And not require much more than clamp& glue. Neck angle seems very good- should not require a re-set. There is some glue slopped on the top- probably can remove with some patience. NEEDS ALL HARDWARE-common& standard parts. BEST OF LUCK! This is the worst messed up remnant of a 1/25 1961 Mercur y Monter ey c onvert ible that you can imagine. I just thought th at since it is kind of an odd ball that some one might w ant to do a b uild f rom i t. The body and the interior a re not broken or damaged except for the awful paint job. W hat you see is what you get. No eng ine. Probably ne ver had one as the hood doesn't open, no wheels m essy globbed up glue on the underneath holding the interior in and what appe ar s to be so me damage to the underneath of the engi n e compartment done with a soldering iron or some kind of gobby epoxy. Vintage Canoe/Backpack Chair from Himalayan Pack Company This auction is for a great canvas backpack chair. I believe it is for either hiking/mountaineering or for a canoe. I have seen similar chairs listed as both and it appears that it could work either way. This chair is from the Himalayan Pack Company. I believe it was made in Monterey. Ca in the 1960's. The backpack has an aluminum frame that is approximately 18" x 14" with the total size from top to bottom being 21 1/2" This item is vintage and pre-owned. It has been used but is in very good condition but it does show signs of wear/age. The canvas is in nice shape with some marks and one spot that may come out with a little cleaning. It has the Himalayan Pack Company logo on the green canvas. Early California Monterey Era Imperial 5 Piece Bedroom Set Floral Hand Painted
Description: This auction is for a wonderful 5 piece Monterey era Imperial bedroom set. Imperial Furniture was made in Los Angeles. California at about the same time that Monterey was being manufactured. This set consists of a dresser. Vanity/desk, bench, mirror and full-sized bed with the original bed rails. This bedroom set has lovely Early California Spanish/Mexican floral hand painting. All pieces are embellished with wonderful original hammered iron drawer pulls and double iron straps throughout. The iron is nice and heavy. The set is stamped with Imperial Furniture Company. Los Angeles, California. The set was made in the 30's-40's. Measurements: Dresser- 33 1/2 inches wide, 17 1/2 inches deep, 37 1/2 inches tall Mirror- 22 inches wide, 33 1/2 inches tall Vanity/Desk- 44 inches wide, 17 1/2 inches deep. 28 1/2 inches tall Stool- ... more17 1/2 inches long, 12 1/2 inches wide, 18 inches tall Bed Headboard- 56 1/2 inches wide, 36 inches tall Footboard- 56 1/2 inches wide, 23 inches tall Condition: The bedroom set is in very nice condition. The floral painting is in excellent condition with really no paint loss. There are a few minor scratches here and there but nothing significant. On top of the dresser and vanity/desk there are a few blemishes to the finish only and not to the wood. see pictures) Structurally the set is sturdy and sound. There is one flaw in the set. On the dresser. On one side at the lower section, there is some rippling to the wood and a crack that does not go through. see pictures) All the other sides of the vanity and dresser are in very nice condition. Collectible: 1968 Harmony Monterey Archtop Acoustic
This is an absolutely stunning 1968. MADE IN USA, Harmony Monterey, acoustic archtop. Except for the custom-cut repro pickguard, it is all original, NO BREAKS, CRACKS OR REPAIRS. There is no belt rash on the back and the finish is so clean it nearly glows. Short of new, you won't find anything cleaner. And the adjustable truss rod works! This guitar sounds as good as it looks. The body rings when strummed and it projects very well as an f-hole acoustic. I found this guitar about 12 years ago and it has been sitting quietly in my closet, protected in a very nice padded gig bag(included. Fernandex Monterey x, circa 1990s
According to the rep from Fernandes Guitars. This is a a Monterey X from the very early 90's. It plays well. Everything works, but will most probably need a good set up. There is a dime size or so paint chip on the body. As well as a couple of other smaller chips. There are swirls from use and a scratch or to, and needs a volume knob. As you can see in the pictures, there is still a brilliant sheen. Please study the pictures and ask questions, as there is no returns and the sale is final. Fuji Monterey 1.0 29'er Mountain Comfort Bike Bicycle Used 14"
Item for sale is one Fuji Monterey 1.0 29'er mountain/comfort bike in very good used condition. Bike is 14" from bb spindle to top of seat collar. Or just 12.5" from bb spindle to top of top tube- good for petite rider, but i can comfortably ride this bike for short distances at 5'9" Frame is aluminum, and tig-welded. Front suspension is SR Suntour, and has about 2-2.5" of travel. Bike has suspension seat post and springer seat, so it really soaks up the bumps and smooths out the ride. Finally, the larger diameter wheel(29" or 700c) and wide tires(43) really give this bike a cadillac ride. Promax V-brakes have lots of life left, and stop on a dime- brake levers are Promax, and quite nice. Sram(Grip Shift) shifters are 3 x 9 for 27 speeds, and geared a bit higher, designed to be ridden on the road(chainrings ... moreare 48/38/28 as opposed to 42/32/22 for'real' mountain bikes) Shimano Deore'mega 9' rear derailleur. Bike shifts and brakes perfectly. Wheels are true and round, and both wheels have 36 stainless spokes. Stem is adjustable height/reach so you can change your reach and the height of the stem. Tires look pretty good; however, sidewalls are beginning to'crack' and will need to be replaced eventually. Still good for now. Tubes hold air. Frame paint looks quite good- very few scratches. Pedals are quite nice. Overall, a very nice, good quality bike that's ready to ride out of the box. Approximately 27" standover height. Retails new for $599. This is a vintage Harmony Tenor guitar in excellent condition.Someone suggested it might be a Monterey H950T.I was just going by the number inside.thanks for the help as i know little about these.the neck is arrow straight.It does NOT need a neck set the way most do at this ones age.it is absolutely gorgeous and sounds even better.this baby sings with authority.i have had tons of old harmony guitars but none have ever gained my respect the way this one does.sustain for days even with the old strings.tone tone tone.you wont have any trouble cutting thru the mix with this bad boy.NO fretwear.looks to have sat under someones bed for its entire life.and i havent cleaned it.see dust on the headstock.No cracks or gouges.just slight handling wear that is not really noticeable.will polish up and be squeaky clean.look at the tuners.they look brand ... morenew.I hate to part with this beauty even without all the things I have stated.this would even make a great art piece it looks so cool.comes with an old chipboard case but i didnt have any more room for photos.I saw one end a while back for the buy it now price i have listed and it wasnt this clean.If it doesnt make the asking price then im going to have it on my mantle in my new home at the lake.I simply love it.i will put on a new set of strings if needed but ill leave the cleaning up to you.actually it really doesnt need any.just a little dusting off.bid with confidence.it plays great. One of only 250 copies. SIGNED by the AUTHOR and BOOK MAKER, ROGER HILLEARY, at the bottom of the Colophon page. From the Colophon page(the last page) Two hundred and fifty copies of this miniature book were printed on a Columbian hand press by Roger Helleary. 20 Caminito del Sur, Monterey, California. The text was set by hand in Eric Gill’s Joanna italic. Display types are Joanna ... moreroman and Perpetua. This printed text is followed by the signature of Hilleary. Condition: The binder’s glue has stained the margins of the front and rear endpapers. The gutter margin of the Colophon, and the upper portion of the Steinbeck stamp. This is the case in all the copies of this book, because the glue the binder used to glue in the endpapers darkened and stained with age. Otherwise the book is in Very Good condition, the hand-made covers are beautiful- bright and clean, as are the inner pages of text and the three illustrations.
